Disclaimer: This never happened, just in my imagination, based on real people, I don't own them.
Warnings: m/m sex, blowjobs, just the normal stuff.
Summary: Kris Allen is home from college and looking for a summer job. He gets a call from his cousin who works security for a venue in Little Rock. Famous pop star Adam Lambert is in town for a big concert, but one of his bus drivers fell and broke his leg. They need someone immediately to fill in for a couple of months. Kris jumps at the chance and gets the job and he ends up driving Adam’s bus.
They travel mostly at night when most people sleep, but Adam has insomnia so he is up talking to Kris... Kris can't help but fall for Adam even though he has no intention of letting on. Adam has a high maintenance, diva boyfriend back home who makes him miserable. Will Adam realize that Kris is the one for him? Or will Kris make the first move to convince Adam to dump his boyfriend for someone more laid back?

Driving Me Crazy Chapter 8
Adam sat down at the table and practically downed his drink before Kris had the chance to sit in his seat across the table. Kurt and Dillon followed them, both grinning like fools, for having been the two lucky witnesses.
Kris’s lips were red and swollen and he still looked dazed.
Tommy looked from Kris over to Adam who looked like he ate the canary and felt guilty about it, back to Kris and just shook his head. “So, what happened?” He asked the pair.
Kris blushed and looked down.
“Nothing, why?” Adam answered smugly, into his drink.
Was Adam regretting it?
“I’ll be right back,” Kris excused himself abruptly and went to the bathroom. Shit, that wasn’t awkward at all.
Adam watched him go and then got up and followed him, instantly regretting his words.
He waited outside until Kris was finished and then gently grabbed him, “Hey, are you alright, Kris?”
“Sure, like you said, it was nothing.”
“Oh, um, Kris.”
“I know, I know, you just got out of a bad relationship and here I am expecting something. I get it.”
“What are you expecting?”
Kris shrugged, “I don’t know. I’d like to kiss you again.”
“And then what?” Adam looked intrigued, because, hell yes, he’d like that too.
“Adam, I’m just your driver, so I don’t…”
He took Kris’s hand. “I’d call you my friend. I have a lot of fun with you, and I think you’re really cute and I enjoy our little talks and I don’t know. Maybe I’d like to see where this goes. Slowly.”
“Oh.”
“Would that be alright?”
Kris was grinning now. “Yeah, that would be alright.”
Then he looked down, like he wanted to say something else, but was too shy. Adam picked up his chin and looked into those big brown eyes and leaned over for their third kiss. This one started off slowly, and then became more sensual as their tongues explored the other’s mouths, lips locked together. It made Kris go weak in the knees. “You sure you want to go slow?” Kris smirked.
“No”, Adam admitted. “But tell you what, let’s get out of here.”
“Where?”
“I’m taking you on our first date.”
“Really?” He chuckled. “Right now?”
“Yeah, see I have this rule.”
“Oh, and what’s that?”
“I never sleep with anyone before the first date,” he said, pointedly.
“Huh, I think that’s a good rule.”
Adam shrugged and they headed back to the VIP table. “Um, we’re taking off, guys.”
“Wow that was quick.”
“It’s not what you think. We’re going to another club, just the two of us, for a little, uh privacy.”
“Why don’t you two stay here, and we’ll make ourselves scarce,” Tommy offered, while everyone at the table nodded in agreement; like they’d already come up with that plan while Adam ran off to find Kris.
“You wouldn’t mind?”
“Of course not.”
Tommy signaled their waiter and asked for the group of six to be seated elsewhere in the club, so Adam and Kris could have the VIP lounge to themselves. The place was crowded, but the manager willingly accommodated them.
After the others left, the waiter brought Adam and Kris another round and then they were finally alone. Adam scooted next to Kris and toasted him, “So, here’s to our first date.”
“To our first date,” they clanked their classes and each took a sip.
They talked like they always did on the bus rides, but this was more intimate. Adam sat right next to Kris, and kissed him between sips of his cocktail. They talked about the tour, the band, and Adam’s fans and then they finally got around to Jason.
“So, can I ask you a question?”
“Shoot”
“You don’t seem really heartbroken, is that just an act?”
Adam took a deep breath, like he didn’t want the wrong thing to come out. Kris mistook his hesitation and thought that Adam didn’t want to answer him because he was heartbroken. “Oh, I shouldn’t have asked that.”
Finally, Adam spoke. “Yeah, you know I had no idea he was cheating, and that hurts, I gotta tell you, but more for my own ego that out of jealousy or anything. Jason wasn’t good for me. I knew it. He made me miserable at times.”
“Yeah, I remember my first after show party.”
“Right, he kept accusing me of cheating on him. With you, actually,” he snorted.
“Me? I just met you.”
“Yeah, but look at you, Kris. You’re totally my type.”
“Oh?”
Adam just smirked. “Anyway, he was always accusing me of fooling around on him. Takes one to know one, I guess.”
“He didn’t deserve you.”
“That’s the third time you’ve said that to me.”
It was Kris’s turn to smirk, “When you asked me if I had anyone in mind, I did, you know.”
“You?”
Kris nodded, leaning over and kissing Adam again. He decided that was his favorite thing in the world to do.
“So no, I’m not heart broken, and you’re not a rebound, if you were thinking that, too.”
“I’m not?”
“No, I’ve actually been thinking about you a lot; ever since Dave brought you into my dressing room that first night. You were trying so hard not to be star struck. It was really cute.”
“Oh God, I thought I hid it.”
“And then the next day when Brian brought you back to my quarters.”
“You remember that?”
“And every one of our conversations on the bus.”
“Me too.”
Adam leaned over and kissed him again, this time pushing him down on the plush bench so he was leaned over the smaller man. Kris wrapped his arms around Adam and melted into his touch. “God, Kris. I’d love to take you to bed,” he spoke softly into Kris’s ear.
“I want that too.”
The he sat up, pulling Kris with him, “But not tonight.”
“Oh,” Kris heart sunk just a little. Adam didn’t want him? His disappointment must have shown on his face.
“Kris?”
“Yeah?”
“I want you, I really want you. But I don’t want you to be a one night stand, or a quick fuck or anything like that.”
“OK.”
“I’d at least like a second date first. Would that be alright?”
Kris smiled this time, “Yeah that would be alright.”
“Good, but our first date hasn’t ended yet. Would you care dance with me?”
“I’d really like that.”
Adam stood up, taking Kris’s hand and they walk down to the dance floor. Kurt and Dillon were still pressed together.
“They’re really in love, aren’t they?” Kris asked.
“Yeah, they’ve been together a long time.” Adam took Kris in his arms as they danced to a slow number. Kris watched his friends while dancing with Adam.
Adam realized at that moment, that Kris was looking for romance. Not a rock star boyfriend, or anything like that. He wanted a relationship. Adam smiled, he wanted that too.
They danced for a while, and eventually invited their friends back to the VIP table to join them.
“So, how was your first date?” Brian asked them.
“It’s going really well,” Adam told them, kissing Kris on the top of the head.
~~~~
They finally headed back to the hotel as a group, just before the club closed a little before 2 am. They could sleep in as it was another day off. Adam was excited to spend it with Kris. He was glad that they hadn’t jumped into bed together just yet. He wanted it to be perfect when they finally did sleep together.
Adam walked Kris to his room and kissed him good night. Kris didn’t want the evening to stop, but he was glad they were taking it slow. It was a good sign that Adam didn’t just want a quick roll in the hay with his bus driver.
Kris watched Adam walk away and then closed the door to his room. He was almost too excited to sleep.
His roommate, Doug was stirring, “Hey man.”
“Oh hey man, sorry to wake you.”
“So, you went out with Adam?”
“And a few of the guys from the band,” he added sleepily.
“Oh, none of my business. But you look awfully happy.”
“Yeah, I am. I’m gonna take a shower. See you in the morning?”
“Yup, goodnight, Kris.”
Kris walked into the large hotel bathroom and closed the door. What a night, he thought to himself. Although he was really looking forward to sleeping with Adam, he was really happy that Adam wanted more than just that.
He climbed into the bathtub and let the hot water wash away the club smells from his body and let his hands wander towards his groin, teasing himself.
He thought about their evening together, talking, making out, Adam leaning over him, pressed against his body as he really kissed him. Ah God, he was getting close.
His fingers were wrapped around his cock as he thought of Adam and what it would feel like to have his mouth on him. He’d heard how large Adam was and the mere thought of touching Adam’s cock or better yet, having it inside of him, made him shudder. He instantly came all over his hand. Panting, he finished washing himself and then turned off the water.
He grabbed one of the huge plush hotel towels and began to dry himself off.
He couldn’t wait for tomorrow. Dressing in his pajama’s, Kris heard his phone buzz from the other room. He walked out of the bathroom, toweling his hair. He reached for his phone and smiled. Adam.
‘I had a really great time tonight’
Kris quickly typed into his phone, ‘Me too’
‘Can’t wait for our second date’’
Kris almost typed, ‘Want to start it right now?’ but decided that was too forward, so he was really surprised when Adam added, ‘Want to start it now?
Kris laughed out loud, but stopped when his roomie groaned in his sleep. “Sorry, Doug,” he whispered an apology. Then texted his reply, ‘yes, but I thought we were being good tonight.’
A few moments later, ‘yeah yeah, I was just testing you. Willpower sucks :)’
‘Keep tempting me ;)’
‘I should ;)’
‘ Goodnight, Adam’
‘Goodnight, Kris. Sweet dreams’
‘:)’
Then Kris put his phone down and crawled into bed. Sleep came almost immediately.
~~~~
The next morning, Kris woke up to his roommate singing in the shower. It wasn’t good. But it still reminded Kris of Adam for some reason. His phone buzzed while he was getting out of bed. Expecting it to be Adam, he was surprised when it was Tommy. ‘Call me when you’re up.’
That’s weird
‘I’m up’
The phone to Kris’s hotel room rang just a few seconds later. “Kris,” Tommy’s voice was loud on the other end of the phone.
“What’s going on?”
“Dave”
“Yeah?”
“Just a friendly warning. I think it’s great that you and Adam are hooking up, but he won’t.”
“First of all, we’re not hooking up…”
“You’re not? Oh, then…”
“Tommy, Adam’s a big boy and if…”
“Dave won’t say anything to Adam. But he will to you, so I just wanted to give you a heads up.”
“Well thanks. I think.”
Kris hung up the phone feeling anxious. He hadn’t thought how Adam’s management would think about the bus driver hooking up with their star. Would he be fired?
Then he started thinking about Tommy. He realized that he wouldn’t only be dating Adam. There’d be a lot of people in their relationship. It’s only the second date. No sense getting ahead of yourself.
His phone buzzed again and this time it was Adam. ‘Morning Kristopher’
He smiled at the formality. ‘Morning Adam’
‘Ready for breakfast?’
‘Sure, meet you downstairs?’
‘Nope, my room’
‘Really?’
‘lol, be here in 15’
Good thing Doug was out of the shower by then, because Kris had to hurry. He grabbed clothes and jumped in the shower. He was dressed and out the door and arriving at Adam’s room with just seconds to spare.
“Wow,” Adam giggled when he opened the door finding Kris about to knock. “Right on time, Kris.”
Kris grinned sheepishly. He didn’t want to seem overeager, but since he was…
“Come on in. Room service should be here in just a minute.”
“Thanks. So what is this?”
“Our second date. I couldn’t wait. Besides, I was thinking about dating and sleeping together.”
“Oh, you were?” Kris giggled.
“Yeah, and you know the three date rule?”
“I thought you had the first date rule?”
“Not me, other people, Kristopher.”
“Oh, okay, yeah?”
“Well, it’s a pretty good rule too. So I thought we should wait until our third date.”
“Which would be tonight, if our second date is right now,” Kris said, suspiciously.
“Correct,” Adam smirked.
The doorbell rang, and Adam jumped up. Saved by the bell
Kris heard the door close and Adam wheeled their breakfast into the room and over to the small table.
Kris ran over to help him uncover the plates and set the table.
They sat down and feasted on eggs, toast, potatoes and English Muffins. There was an assortment of jelly and Adam watched in amusement as Kris contemplated over grape jam or strawberry preserves.
“Have one of each,” he suggested.
“So, what makes you think I’ll sleep with you on the third date?” He asked, mischievously.
“Kristopher, you were ready to sleep with me after the first date, remember?”
He’d pretty much do anything this man wanted to do with him. “Uh huh,” he said through bites of food. “This is really good,” he quickly changed the subject.
“This is really nice. Thank you for coming.”
“Can I ask a serious question?”
“Of course.”
“Um, is it alright with Dave that we’re dating?”
Adam practically choked, “Um, I didn’t ask him, but it’s not really any of his business, why?”
“I don’t know. Tommy called me this morning to warn me about Dave finding out.”
“Tommy worries too much.”
“Oh, okay.”
“Relax, baby.”
He’d try.
After breakfast, they put the tray in the hallway and then Adam hopped on his huge king sized bed, “Come here.”
Kris crawled up next to him and they spent the next thirty minutes or so getting to know each other. Fully clothed, of course.
~~~~
Meanwhile, the entourage met in the lobby for breakfast. Dave announced that Adam wouldn’t be joining them. “He mentioned breakfast in his room.”
As they were all seated, Tommy noticed that Kris wasn’t here either. So did Kurt and Dillon. “Hey, where’s Kris?” Kurt boldly asked.
