Brotherly Love - Chapter 76

The engines roared loudly as the airplane took off and Kris’s ears hurt.  Adam tried to distract him by kissing him through it, but they got a couple of evil stares from the passengers behind them and decided not to piss anyone off for the six hour flight home.  It wasn’t worth it.

So, they just talked instead.  Pam had given them some gum to chew earlier which helped with any ear popping.

Once they were at their flying altitude, the captain turned off the ‘fasten your seatbelt’ sign and the flight attendant began walking down the aisle with the beverage cart.  Kris and Adam both ordered a coke and settled in for the flight.  There was a young woman on the aisle seat who kept looking over at them.

“Hi”, Adam said, trying to get her to stop staring.

“Hi”, she answered, and then looked a way, embarrassed.  “Um, I’m not trying to be rude or anything, you’re just a really cute couple”, she added.

Kris blushed, and Adam grinned at her, “Thanks.”

She smiled in return and began reading the book in her lap.

After a while, Chelsey came back to check on the boys.  “You guys alright back here?”

“Yeah, Chels”, Adam offered.  “Great view”, he laughed.

The woman in the seat smiled at Chelsey, “Would you like to sit her for a while?”

“Oh thanks, that’s really nice, but no.  My brother’s would rather be alone, I’m sure”, she smirked.

“Um…” the woman looked confused as Chelsey said goodbye and walked back to her seat.

“We’re not related”, Adam clarified.

She just nodded in return and then reached her hand to shake Adam’s.  “I’m Justine, by the way”.

“Adam”, he shook her hand. “And this is my boyfriend, Kris.”

“Very nice to meet the both of you”, she still seemed a little lost.

“We’re foster brothers.”

“Oh, well that’s convenient”, she chuckled, causing Adam and Kris to laugh too.  That always did sound really weird.

The three of them got into a conversation after that.  They found out that Justine was a teacher just moving to Little Rock from Los Angeles.  “I just got a teaching job at the University of Central Arkansas.”

“Really?”

“I teach theatre arts.”

“Well, I guess I’ll be one of your new students, then", Adam flashed her a grin.

She looked at him like she didn’t quite no what he was talking about.

“I’m a freshman and I have a Theatre scholarship.”

“That’s incredible”, she said.  “I can see you as an actor.”

“He’s amazing”, Kris broke in.  “And can he sing.”

It was Adam’s turn to blush.  “He’s a little biased.”

Kris shook his head, and mouthed, 'Not at all'.

“Well Adam, I can’t wait to see what you’ve got”, her smile was genuine.

They talked for a little longer and then Justine went back to her book, while the boys curled together in their seat.

The flight attendants brought the meal cart around and Ron had made sure they had enough cash for dinner.

While they ate their pre-packaged boxed dinners consisting of a turkey sandwich, apple and chips, they talked to Justine who was curious about Adam's experience in high school.  He told her about the plays he'd performed in.  He really lit up when he spoke of the Phantom, his favorite role.

As they talked, Kris began to withdraw.  Adam's going to get discovered, I know it.  He wanted to be so happy for him.  He really did.

After dinner Adam excused both of them to use the restroom.  “Come on, Kris.”  Adam tugged on him to follow him.

“Adam, we can’t go in there together”, he whispered, trying not to draw attention.

“Yes we can, right now”, he said, sternly.

Kris followed him and Adam pulled him inside the tiny room as his eyes scanned the surroundings. “I have no idea how people have sex in here”, Adam commented.

“What?”

“You know; the mile high club?”

“I am not having sex in here, Adam.  No way.”

“No, I agree.  Way too small”, he said, looking around.  “Ok, the reason I pulled you in here.”

“Not to have sex“

“Well, it crossed my mind, but no.  What’s going on with you, baby?  You used to be so excited about me going to school.”

“I am”, he wasn’t sounding convincing.

“No, you’re not.  I could see your eyes rolling when I was talking to Justine.”

“I’m just going to miss you.”

“Is that really it?” Adam questioned.

“Yes”

Adam looked him over.  Convinced for now, he reached around his waist.  “Alright, come here.”

“I’m not having sex in here”, Kris said, half heartedly.  If Adam pushed it, he’s sure he’d cave.

“Just kiss me.”

~~~~
The six hour flight went quickly between eating, napping and talking to Justine.  Before they knew it, the captain was announcing their decent into Little Rock.  They said goodbye to Justine as they disembarked the aircraft.
Brent had called his friend Rick just before they left Los Angeles and he was meeting the family outside the baggage claim in their Suburban.
They all got their suitcases; none missing this time and Ron grabbed a cart to carry their things and they met Rick outside in their car.
“Martins”, he yelled out the window as he pulled up to the curb.
“Hey Rick”, they all waved, walking towards him.  He jumped out of the van and opened the back, helping them with their bags.
“You all look fantastic, tanned, rested…”  He snickered.
They all rolled their eyes at him.  They only felt exhausted and dirty from the long trip.  The ride home was surreal.  After a two week adventure in California, they were back in Conway and about to go on with their normal lives.
They arrived home and took their luggage into the house.  It was late and they'd already eaten on the plane, so Pam suggested that everyone call it a night and unpack in the morning.
Adam went straight to his room with his bags, dropped them off and then entered Kris's room though their bathroom.
"Hey baby", he stood at the entrance, watching Kris.
Kris didn't miss a beat, and joined Adam, sitting on the counter so Adam could lean him against the mirror and kiss the breath out of him.
"Mmm"
Kris giggled and then got somber, "It's not the same as sharing a bed."
"I'll tuck you in and stay until you fall asleep", he promised.
"I'd like that."
“Shower first.”
“I’d like that more”, Kris smirked.
~~~~

The next morning, the family had breakfast together, and then spent the morning unpacking and washing clothes.  Ron called the bank, and he and Adam had an appointment for the end of the week.  Ron handed Adam a box of checks that had arrived from the bank while they were gone.  He sort of looked at them funny and then carried them upstairs, not sure what to do with them.

Adam called Amanda and they made plans for her to come for dinner the following evening.

High school didn't start for another few weeks for Kris, but Adam had to report to his school in just a few days.  Ron and Pam insisted on helping him move in so they could see his room.  He rolled his eyes, but was secretly glad that they wanted to.

After making some sort of headway with the laundry, Adam and Kris left to spend the rest of the day with their friends.  They met Tommy and Dani at the diner.  Kris saw Allison, Ethan and Lucy sitting at another table.  Since all of his ‘Adam’ friends would be leaving him for college too, he figured he better hang close to these guys this year.  He didn’t want to have no friends, either.  So he left Adam’s side and went to join his other friends.

Adam didn’t mind at all.  It was good for Kris to be with his own friends, too.  Ethan and Kris talked about baseball and the team this year.  They were putting the fall ball team together in a few weeks.  Allison and Lucy rolled their eyes through most of the conversation, but then they asked Kris to tell them about his trip.

“So, you meet any movie stars?”  Lucy asked.

“No, Lucy”, Kris laughed at his friend.  He had to admit; it was good to be home.

After the diner, they went home for dinner.  Pam didn’t feel like cooking, so they ordered Chinese food.  Adam insisted on paying; but Pam refused him nicely.  “Adam, sweetie; we still have plenty of money left over from the trip”.

Adam wanted to help anyway so he started tipping Pam for everything she did for him.  After dinner, he thanked his mom, giving her a big hug and then slipping a check in her pocket.

The first one, she found as she was getting ready for bed.  “Ron”, she yelled.

“Yes dear.”

“Look at this”, she showed him the check for $1000.00.  “What is he doing?”

Ron had to laugh.  “Well, you wouldn’t let him pay for dinner.”

“This isn’t funny.”

“It kind of is, Pam.”

"I'm not cashing it."

"I know."  He chuckled again.

The next time was at breakfast when Pam cleared the dishes from the table.  Adam got up and hugged her again, slipping her another check.  When he left the room, she pulled it out of her pocket.  “Five hundred dollars, for breakfast.  Ugh.”

If Pam brought him his laundry, or made the boys a snack, anything really; Adam would slip her another check.  She had no idea what to do about it.

~~~~
The boys spent the day with Tommy and the Band.  They finally got to meet Isaac, their new drummer.  He was really cool.
They got home in time to help Pam make dinner.  Amanda was coming over tonight. Adam couldn't wait to see her and tell her about the trip, the bar, the money; everything.
They were making spaghetti and meatballs and Adam tossed the salad as he chatted with his mom about everything except those stupid checks he kept writing her.
Amanda and Tanner arrived a little early and she and Adam went into the family room to talk.
“Honey, let me look at you”, Amanda gave him a big hug and then stepped back.
“I haven’t been gone that long”, he giggled.
“But you look really good, Adam.  I can tell the trip went well.”
“Thanks.  I feel good.”
They sat on the couch, Amanda holding his hands, while he told her everything.  They talked about his feelings going into the bar and talking to Jerry and Terrance.
“Seeing Joan was the strangest thing, Amanda.  It was like the Twilight Zone.”
Then they got down to the money and how Adam didn’t want any part of it, but that he’d have a secure future for he and Kris and how he wanted to help the family.
Amanda told him how proud she was of him and how well he’d handled everything.  “I’m glad you got some sort of closure.”
“I really did, finally.  I don’t hate her.  Look how my life has turned out.”  He thought of the family he ended up with and of Kris.
“So how are you and Kris?”  She finally asked.
“We’re good.”
“You don’t sound convinced.”  She glanced at him.
“He seems to think that I’m leaving him.  I’m not; I’ll just be down the road”, he said harshly.
Amanda listened and finally said that this is Kris’s thing that he’ll have to work out on his own.  “He’ll see as time goes on that he has nothing to worry about.”
“I hope so.”
“I can talk to him if you like.”
“Only if he wants to”, he smiled meekly at her.  It was so good to have a friend like her.  He hugged her again and they joined everyone back in the kitchen.
During dinner they chatted about the more fun parts of the trip; Disney Land, the restaurants and Wicked.  “Oh my God, Amanda.  I could totally see myself up on that stage in that roll.”
“So can I Adam.”
She caught Kris’s change of expression as Adam was saying that and she realized immediately what was going on with him.  It wasn’t Adam going to college that Kris had a problem with.  She let it go, but decided to pull Kris away after dinner and have a chat.
“So how’s married life, you two?”  Pam asked the happy couple.
“Wonderful.”
“Yeah, we’re both so busy, we hardly see each other”, Tanner chuckled.
Amanda punched his arm, “Really?”  Then she had to laugh, herself.  “He’s right.  But it makes it even more special when we come home to each other.”  She quickly glanced at Kris who was listening intently.  “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”, she quoted.
Kris wondered if that was really true.
After the meal, Pam, Adam and Tanner cleaned up the kitchen, while Amanda pulled a confused Kris into the family room.
“You wanted to talk to me?”  He figured Adam had put her up to it.
“How are you, Kris?”
“I’m fine”, he shrugged.
“Looking forward to school?”
“I guess.”
“You’re going to miss Adam.”
“Do you think I’m too clingy?”
“Clingy?  I don’t know, Kris.  Do you?”
“I heard what you said at dinner, about being apart from one another.  Maybe I don’t give him enough space.”
“Why would you think that?”
He stared, blankly at the floor.
“Kris.  I think Adam being at school will be a good thing for both of you.  You’re right, you’ve never been apart.  But, I know that Adam isn’t trying to get away from you.  You’re all he thinks or talks about.”
“You should have seen the male lead from ‘Wicked’ fawning all over Adam after the show.  Trying to convince him to move to California and get into theatre.”
“That bothered you?”
“I can see him doing it.”
“Hmm”
“He’ll leave me one day.”  He got very quiet and then barely whispered, “Just like my parents.”
“Oh honey”, Amanda pulled him into a hug.  ”You’re parents didn’t leave you.  They died.”
“I don’t even remember them”, he felt tears beginning to fall.
Amanda realized that this wasn’t really about Adam at all.  “Kris, I think you were so young that everyone forgets that you went through that.  Pam and Ron and the whole family love you, Kris.  You are one of them.”
Kris nodded.  He knew that.  “Sometimes, I feel so lonely.”
“I’m so sorry, sweetie.  Have you talked to anyone?”
He shook his head.  He hadn’t been to a therapist in years.
“You’re not alone, Kris.  Adam’s not leaving you.”
As Amanda and Tanner were leaving the Martins, she leaned into Pam and whispered, “We didn’t really get a chance to talk tonight.  Can I come by in the morning?”
“Sure”, Pam answered, wondering what that was all about.  Maybe Amanda could help her with her ‘Adam’ problem.
Brotherly Love - Chapter 74
The Martins were into the second week of their California vacation.  They went back to Venice beach again to watch Brent surf, and Kris talked Adam into taking a lesson with him.  He was more comfortable at Santa Monica with an instructor right there.  Chelsey joined them and the three had a blast at their private three hour lesson.
Adam couldn’t get up on the board at first, but after a while, he was riding a wave along side Kris.  Chelsey swore never to laugh at Brent or Kris again.  “This is really hard”, she said laughing as she tumbled into a wave.
By the end of the second hour, they were all three surfing.  The instructor had time to teach them a few tricks for staying on their boards.
Kris had such a great time because Adam was with him.  Adam had to admit, it was really fun.  However, he was looking forward to sunbathing and walking along the beach later on.
On days they weren’t driving somewhere, Brent would take the van and head to Venice beach.  He was becoming good friends with the surfers there.  Adam didn’t mind, though, so neither did anyone else.
They spent another whole day in Disney Land, too.  Kris and Adam wanted to do Space Mountain and Splash Mountain again and the Haunted Mansion.  And, they all wanted to go back to the Blue Bayou inside the Pirates of the Caribbean for dinner.  It was one of their favorite restaurants so far.
They also spent a half day at Disneyland’s Adventure Park and then in the afternoon, went to Downtown Disney and shopped.  There was also live entertainment in the evening.  They had dinner at the Rainforest Café where there were animated Rainforest creatures to keep you entertained through dinner with a gift shop, of course to end the experience.
The next big surprise from Ron was for the following morning.  Everyone got up early and they had breakfast in the suite while Ron announced that they’d be driving down to New Port Beach, which was an hour and a half away.  There was one thing that Ron had wanted to do in San Diego, but it was off season.  However, in New Port Beach, whale watching was year round.
They climbed into the Van and headed to Captain Dave’s Dolphin Safari in New Port Beach.  They were promised dolphin and whale sightings during the three hour excursion.
The Martin’s arrived at Captain Dave’s and were taken to the boarding area of the Hi-Speed, Hi-tech Sailing Catamaran that would take them around Dana Point.
They walked onto the boat with about eighteen other guests.  There was plenty of dry outdoor seating on the cockpit, but you could also go out to the tram net and see the dolphins and whales up close.
Adam and Kris wanted to go downstairs to the underwater viewing area with the dolphin and whale cam.  The captain would play songs and sounds which attracted the creatures and you could hear them communicating to the boat.
Dana Point had these unique deep underwater coastal canyons that housed numerous small fish, which attracted the dolphins to feed, almost guaranteeing some sightings in that area.  They also spotted a few blue whales and some fins along their journey.
During the ride back to New Port beach, as they were being served homemade brownies from the Captain’s wife, they spotted a killer whale with her calf.  Everyone ran to the edge to see it.  “Now, that’s a treat”, the Captain called out.
“Dad”, Adam said as they were heading back to the car.  “This has been the most amazing trip.  Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, son.  We’ve all had a great time,” he said hugging Adam.
“I mean it dad.  I’ll remember this for my entire life.”
“I’m glad, Adam.  We want you to have good memories to replace…  Well, you know.”
Adam just smiled and hugged him back.  “I know; thank you.”
~~~~

The next day, they went back to Santa Monica Beach where all four of the Martin kids could surf right near the pier.  Brent showed the others some tricks he’d learn and they all had a blast.  “This is more fun with you, Adam”, Kris admitted.  He really had wanted to surf; he just didn’t want to be away from Adam to do it.

“Aw, baby; for me too.”  Kris was getting… not clingy, but he never wanted to leave Adam’s side.  Pam and Chelsey wondered what was going on with him, but Adam told them that it’s probably just because he’d be going off to college soon and Kris wanted to spend as much time as possible with him.

“Yeah, that’s probably it”, Pam agreed, but she was going to keep an eye on him.

The rest of the time, they just relaxed, either at the pool or at the beach, did a little more shopping and spent one more evening at Downtown Disney, dining at the House of Blues where they had a huge stage with nightly entertainment.

Kris laughed, because most of the restaurants they had gone to during their trip all had gift shops.  “Who ever heard of that? I don’t think there’s one restaurant in Conway that has a gift shop”, he drawled.  But they got to enjoy some good southern cooking, which they all enjoyed.

When they got back to the suite that night, everyone wanted to watch a movie, but Kris said he was tired, and just wanted to go to bed early.  “You alright, baby?”  Adam asked, concerned, as they were walking down the hallway to their room.

“I’m fine”, he assured him.  “I just want to be alone with you”, he whispered.

“Baby, I’m not going far, you know?”

“Huh?”

“When we get back home and I go to school.  It’s only twenty minutes away.”

“I know that, Adam.”

“And you can come every night if you want, and I’ll be home every weekend”, he was trying to convince Kris of something.

“I’m just…” he began.

“What?”

“Nothing.”

“Kris, talk to me, baby.” Adam said as he opened the door and led Kris inside.

“What if you meet someone at school, way cooler than me?”

“There’s no one cooler than you”, Adam giggled.

“You are.”

“Aw, baby.  You have nothing to worry about, I promise.”

That wasn’t the only thing.  Adam was going to be performing to bigger audiences.  What if he got discovered and they wanted him to move away to New York or California.  Or, what if one of those theatre guys took a liking to Adam like that guy from Wicked.  He had so many horrible scenarios playing through his mind that he couldn’t think straight.

“Um, I think I want to go swimming”, he said.

“Do you want me to come with you?”  Adam asked, confused.

Kris just shook his head.  “I need to be alone.”

Adam knew that wasn’t a good idea, so he went back to the suite and convinced Chelsey to go down and be with Kris; if just to watch and make sure he didn’t drown or something.

Meanwhile, Adam stayed with Pam and they talked about what was going on with Kris.

“Mom, I’m worried about him.”

“I know, I am too.  I think it’s more than just you going to college.”

“Before the end of school, Kris couldn’t wait for me to go, so we’d have a room that wasn’t, you know, at home with our parents.”

“Oh, I see”, she laughed.

“I think he’s worried that I’ll outgrow him or something.”

“Well, it is a valid worry, Adam.”

“No it’s not”, he huffed.

“Honey, Kris is two years behind you in school.  College can really make a person grow up.”

“Yeah, look at Brent”, he snorted.

“Look at Chelsey.”  She countered.

“Mom, I love Kris.  I have plans for us.  When he’s ready for college, he’ll either come with me, or I’ll transfer to where he wants to go.  We’ll be roommates, too.”

“It’s a great plan, have you discussed it with Kris?”

“Not really, I just sort of assumed it.”

“Kris is going to be doing high school things for the next couple of years, and I’m sure that he wants you to do them with him.  Like Prom.”

“Of course I will.”

“You won’t feel too old?”

Adam thought about that.  He didn’t right now, but how would he feel in two years when it’s time for Kris’s senior prom.

“It’s a lot to think about and I’m sure that all of that is weighing heavily on Kris right now.”

“I better talk to him.”  Adam left his mom and quickly changed into his bathing suit and then went down to the pool to find Kris.

Chelsey was sitting in a chair while Kris was swimming laps.  “Hey Adam”.

“Hi Chels.”

“He’s thinking awfully hard in there.”

“Yeah, I can tell”, Adam giggled.  “You can go back up to the room.  I’ve got him.”

“Ok, Adam.”

Chelsey left the two of them alone.  Adam got into the water and just watched Kris for a minute.  He was so beautiful.  How can he be so insecure?

“Kris”, he called.  Kris stopped swimming and turned around.

“I thought you were staying upstairs.”

“I think we need to talk, baby.”

“I don’t want to talk.”

“Then just listen to me.  I love you.”

“I love you too.”

“I’m not leaving you.”

Kris started to speak, but Adam interrupted him as he swam closer to Kris.  “You have a prom date, Kris, for the next two years.  I promise, I will not back out of any of your important things at school. “

“Really?”  He sounded surprised.

“Of course not.  And don’t forget my dorm room.  I’ll kick my roommate out anytime you want to be with me.”

“What if he won’t go?”

“Oh he will.”

“You sound like you already know your roommate.”

“I do.  It’s Tommy”, he giggled.  “Yeah, he texted me the other day that we got our room assignments.  We’d requested each other when I found out he was going there too.”

“You didn’t tell me.”

“I wanted to surprise you.”

Kris thought for a moment, “What about performing?”

“What about it?”

“What if you become famous and they want to you move away?”

Adam laughed, “At the University of Central Arkansas?  I don’t think you have anything to worry about Kris.”

“I’m sorry.”

“You don’t ever need to be sorry, baby.”

Kris let Adam wrap his arms around him, as they kissed by the side of the pool.  The water was getting chilly, so Adam suggested they dry off and go to bed.  “I want to love you tonight.”

When they got back to their room, Adam texted Chelsey to let them know they were back and everything was alright.

They showered to warm up and then crawled naked under the covers of the huge bed as Kris curled up to Adam, making him feel safe.

Adam made love to Kris, covering him with soft kisses, prepping him lovingly and then entered him slowly.  Kris mewled, as Adam fucked him, and when he was near the edge, Adam stroked his cock till he was spilling his seed.  Adam came just afterwards and smothered Kris in kisses.  Then he got up to get a washcloth to clean them.  He returned to bed and held Kris in his arms.  “I love you, Kris.  It’s going to be ok”, he whispered, but Kris had already fallen asleep.

~~~~
The next morning marked the second to full last day of their vacation.  They had a lovely breakfast on Sunset Boulevard, just a couple of blocks from their hotel and then walked along the strip.  “I’m going to miss it here”, Pam said thoughtfully as they strolled.
“Yeah, me too”, Adam said, and he really meant it.  He had replaced the bad memories with really good ones.  He still wasn’t sure about all that money.  He needed to talk to Amanda when they got back; about a lot of things.
The spent the rest of the day doing some of the things they’d missed so far.   First, they went to the Hollywood museum which celebrated the movies and movie stars.  There were four floors of sets, displays, replicas and costumes from some of the most famous movies of all time.  Kris’s favorite was the lower level where they had the jail from Silence of the Lambs.
Next, they went to Madam Tussaud’s, where they saw all kinds of celebrities in wax; not only movie stars, but sports figures, presidents and some musical artists that Adam loved.
Afterwards, they came back to the hotel to relax and swim and then had a nice dinner in Hollywood.  Their trip was winding down, just two more days until they flew home.  It had been a fantastic vacation so far, but everyone was looking forward to getting home.
Everyone except Kris.
Brotherly Love - Chapter 73
The family, minus Brent, spent the day at the beach, swimming and sunbathing.  They left their things on the sand and grabbed lunch on the boardwalk at the Beachside Café.
They people watched as they ate their lunch.  “So one morning, we should rent bikes while Brent is surfing”, Chelsey suggested.
“And Kris”, Added Adam.
“I’d rather bike with you guys.”
“You sure, baby?”
Kris just nodded.
“You didn’t like it?”
“Yeah, I did.  The lesson was more fun though.”
“Big ocean, scary?”  Chelsey teased.
“Something like that.” He glared at her.
“Oh and I definitely want to see “Muscle Beach”, she added, ignoring Kris’s stare.
They decided after lunch, to have a last swim and then pack their stuff and see the rest of the sights that Venice Beach had to offer.
They returned to the boardwalk and ducked into some of the shops, then headed west to where the street vendors and performers were.  There was everything; arts, crafts, tattoos, and fortune tellers.   They saw musicians, dancers, jugglers, even ‘broken-glass walking’.
After they completed the entire boardwalk, they headed to ‘Muscle Beach’ where you could watch the really pumped up guys working out right on the sand.
Adam made some kind of sound, and Kris took that as ‘I need to work out more’.
“You’re perfect, baby”, he said kissing his head.  “But come on, this is fun to watch.”
Kris had to agree, some of them were really hot.
“Oh yeah”, Chelsey agreed, too.
“So, should we text Brent and tell him where we’re having dinner?”  Pam asked.
“He’s having fun.  He’ll be fine.”  Ron interjected.
“I just worry.”
“He’s a big boy, mom”, added Chelsey.
~~~~

They found a nice restaurant in Venice beach just off the boardwalk and had a lovely dinner.  There was always a hole when one of the Martin’s was missing, noticed mostly by Pam, but felt by everyone.

After dinner, they walked along the boardwalk again.  The boys wanted to go down to the water and see the sunset on the horizon.  It was beautiful and romantic; well it could have been without the entire family watching them.  Adam smiled over at them.  He wouldn’t have it any other way.  He had decided to put everything behind him and enjoy the last week of their trip with the most important people in his life; his family.  He kissed Kris on the forehead.  “I love you, Kris.”  He whispered.

The Martins let them have a little alone time. “We’ll meet you on the boardwalk in ten minutes, alright boys?”  Pam called to them.

He mentally thanked mom.  “Come here, baby.”  He pulled Kris in tight and kissed him; his lips sweeping across Kris’s and gently touching them before deepening the kiss and pushing his lips open giving his tongue full access.  ‘Now, this was romantic.’

They kissed under the moonlight for the whole ten minutes and then met the family on the boardwalk as promised.

The family drove back to the hotel and Pam suggested another pajama movie night.  She denied wanted to wait up for Brent, but everyone knew that she wouldn’t be able to sleep until he came home anyway, and this way everyone could keep her company so she wouldn’t stew.

He finally did arrive close to midnight.  “Hey everyone”, he announced, opening the door.

“Brent”, Pam stood up, greeting him.  “Come on in, we’re just watching a movie.”

“And waiting up for me”, he winked.  “Thanks mom.”

After the movie ended, Adam and Kris trekked off to bed.

~~~~
The next morning, the family did an all day Los Angeles & Hollywood Experience tour.  A few places they had already seen, like the strip, but they got to see a lot of new things, too.  They went to the farmers market and shopping at the Grove and of course, Rodeo drive.
They decided on a quiet dinner in the suite that evening and then back to the Santa Monica pier.  It was so pretty at night, and Kris wanted to ride the Ferris wheel again.
“Tomorrow, I have a surprise for everyone”, Ron announced.
“What?”
“We’re going on a little trip.”
“Where?”
“You’ll see.  We’re getting up early, so everyone to bed”, he urged.  “Oh, and pack an overnight bag.”
~~~~

“Where do you think we’re going?” Kris asked Adam when they were back in their room.

“I don’t know.  A different beach, maybe?”

“Well, I know it’ll be fun.  This has been the most amazing trip, Adam.”

“What’s been your favorite part?”

“This room”, they both said together.

“This bed”, Adam clarified, pulling on Kris’s clothes, coaxing him to bed.

“Wait”, Kris spoke.  “I want to undress you, this time.”

Kris slowly, very slowly, slipped Adam out of his pants and pulled off his t-shirt.   “Mm, Adam.”

Then he slid his underwear down his legs, Adam stepping out of them, and Kris took him into his mouth.  “I’ve wanted to do this all day.”

“You have?” Adam panted.

Kris guided Adam to the bed and gently pushed him down, never taking Adam’s cock out of his mouth.

“Baby, feels so good”, he moaned.

Kris worked him over, sucking and licking, driving him to the edge.

“God Kris, I’m gonna…”  And he was coming in Kris’s warm mouth.  Kris took it all, swallowing all his seed, licking him clean.

“That was amazing, baby.”

Adam rolled Kris over and made sweet love to him after that and they fell asleep, bodies tangled together, loving each other.

~~~~
The boys woke up and showered the next morning.  They arrived in the suite just in time for breakfast.  Pam was putting bacon and scrambled eggs on the table while Chelsey got the toast.
“So where are we going?”  Adam asked.
“San Diego.”  Dad said into his eggs.
“What?  Really dad?”
“There are some things we just have to see there”, he teased, not wanting to give any part of the trip away.
It was about two and a half hours away by car so Ron wanted to get moving.  “Come on, finish up, everyone,” he urged.
They had packed everyone’s things into one small suitcase.  Pam double checked that everyone had packed their underwear and tooth brushes.  “What, I’m a mom, it’s my instinct.”
~~~~

Ron drove the family down the coast of California into San Diego.   He parked the car on North Harbor Drive at a tour office.  “What’s this, dad?”  Chelsey asked.

“We have a reservation”, he replied, raising everyone’s eyebrows.

Ron walked up to the desk and picked up their tickets for the two hour harbor tour.  They were guided out to the dock where they would depart.

“This is incredible”, they said, boarding the tour boat which would take them on the twenty six mile tour of the entire Bay, narrated so passengers would learn about the history and facts of the area, and talk about each of the major points of interest, including the naval submarine base and the Coronado Bridge.

They took pictures and listened to the tour guide explain each point.  Adam and Kris went up top where they had the best view.  Chelsey joined them.  “What an incredible trip this has been”, she said to no one in particular.

The boys just nodded in agreement.

They got back to the dock a couple of hours later, starving.  Ron had booked them a cottage for the night right on the beach, so he drove there first to check in.  There were several restaurants within walking distance, they were told, so they walked along the beach till they found a place for lunch.  There was a quaint little restaurant right on the beach, where they ordered sandwiches and enjoyed the view.

“So, what’s next?”

~~~~
After lunch, they drove to Sea World.  They had nothing else planned for the rest of the day, so they could spend as much time as they wanted.
They saw the Shamu Story, Penguin Encounter and Turtle Reef and played with the dolphins and then went on some wild water rides.  But they were most looking forward to the show tonight, Shamu Rocks.
A favorite with Pam and Chelsey was Sea Lions Live and Pets Rule and of course, the boy’s was Shark Encounter.
They saw a few more of the attractions and shows and then had dinner at the Calypso Bay Smokehouse for their BBQ Chicken and Ribs.  After dinner, they made their way over to the rock and roll lights show that was Shamu Rocks.  They bought glow sticks that were offered for sale, as they were told that the more the audience glowed, the better Shamu would perform.  They figured that was just to get you to buy the merchandise, but it was pretty at night while the Killer Whale did tricks to the light effect and music.
Afterwards, they were exhausted and walked back to the van, driving to their beach cottage and called it a night.  Ron had another surprise for the morning after breakfast.  He was being very secretive about this trip, and so far they were having a blast.
The sleeping arrangements were a little strange, Ron and Pam took the larger bedroom and Adam and Kris took the smaller one, with two bunk beds, leaving Chelsey on the couch and Brent on a rollaway in Adam and Kris’s room.  The boys reminisced how they used to share a room and had to sleep in bunk beds, secretly remembering the couple of times that they shared Adam’s lower bunk and slept together.
~~~~

The next morning, after breakfast, they drove to the San Diego Zoo.  It was world famous for its exotic animals and outdoor natural habitats.

They began their adventure at the outback, visiting the koalas, tree kangaroos and wallabies and the Urban Jungle.  Then they walked the path to Africa Rocks to see the big cats and other natives of the region.  Next, they walked through Elephant Odyssey and then up to Polar Rim to see Polar Bears, the Arctic Aviary and the Reindeer exhibit.

The Panda’s were Kris favorite at the Panda Canyon, and then they walked down to Asian Passage which featured the Sun Bear exhibit, rhinoceros, hornbills and porcupines.

They stopped for lunch at Albert’s restaurant before heading into the Lost Forest.  They saw tigers, flamingos, hippos and monkeys and gorillas.  They spent the most time in this area, since it was huge and there was so much to see.

They ended their visit to the Zoo at Discovery Outpost with the crocodiles, reptiles and turtles, along with the hummingbird house.

Adam’s favorite area was Africa, with the Snow Leopards and Cougars.  Chelsey’s were the Koalas from the first area.  It was a beautiful day, and warm weather, making the experience most pleasant.

Afterwards, they drove back to the cottage and checked out.  Then they spent the rest of their stay walking along the beach until it was time to drive back to Los Angeles.

~~~~
They got back to their hotel in the late afternoon.  They relaxed in the suite till dinner time.  Everyone was tired, but no one wanted to cook, so they walked outside and found a restaurant near their hotel.
Adam was more relaxed now that he had the bar experience and seeing Joan past him.  He was moving on and looking forward to his future.
They enjoyed a pleasant meal at the Falcon Restaurant, while they reminisced about the last two days.
Ron had one more big surprise coming up in a few days, but tomorrow, they opted for a relaxing day near the hotel.  Maybe some shopping on the strip and definitely swimming.  Brent wanted to go surfing a couple more times before the end of their trip.  Ron told him he could take the car in the morning, since they wouldn’t need it.  He invited Kris, who declined the offer.  He just wanted to stay with Adam.
After dinner, they swam for a while and then went back to the suite.  Brent went on to bed, since he was getting up early, but the rest of the family settled in the living room to watch a movie.
The next morning, they went to the strip for breakfast and did some shopping and then came back to the hotel for lunch and then spent the afternoon swimming.  Brent came home in the afternoon and joined them at the pool.
They decided to drive into Los Angeles that afternoon and see some of the culture.  They went to a couple of the museums and the science center.  Then, Ron had made reservations at the rooftop bistro, Perch.  They could see all of LA from their table and a jazz band played while they ate their meal.
After dinner, they walked outside to Pershing Square where there was a free concert happening.  They enjoyed the music for a while, before heading home.  It had turned out to be a spectacular day for the entire family.
Brother Love - Chapter 72
The next morning, they met in the suite for a nice leisurely breakfast.  Adam and Kris went down to the pool for a bit, and then around ten thirty, they all left for the north end of Hollywood to the movie themed amusement park, Universal Studios.
They pulled into the parking lot and everyone jumped out of the van.  Ron had purchased the tickets online the day before, so they went right to the automated ticket booth to pick them up and then entered the park.
“So, what do you want to do first, Adam?”  Pam asked him.
“Hey, this is everyone’s vacation.  What do you guys want to do?”
Everyone shouted out a different idea.
“That’s about right”, Pam laughed.
They started with the studio tour, which allowed the guest to experience actual television and movie sets from their tram car.  They saw Jaws and King Kong 3D and viewed special effects from action movies like the Fast and the Furious and many others.
After the tour, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed, they went on the various rides and attractions.  It was a nice afternoon and a much needed distraction for Adam.  Jurassic Park was a favorite as well as Shrek 4D and the Terminator and they had a blast in the House of Horrors and Water World.   They got a kick out of the various characters walking around the park, too.
The group finished their day at the City Walk with shopping and dining choices and night clubs.  It was all lit up and reminded everyone of West Hollywood.
There was a ‘Hard Rock’ and ‘Bubba Gump’ at the walk, but everyone wanted something totally different.
“You know what I’d like to do?”  Adam addressed the group.
“What’s that, Adam?”
“Go back to West Hollywood and have a really fancy dinner.”
“That’s a great idea, Adam.”  Ron eagerly agreed.
Pam gave Ron a look.  “Really honey?”
Then she glanced over at Adam.
“Ron”, she called him away.
“Yes dear.”  Ron acknowledged, following her away from the rest of the family.
“Adam gave you money, didn’t he?” She accused.
Ron sheepishly admitted, “Yes.”
“We can’t take his money, Ron.”
“Pam.  He insisted.”
“He’s confused.”
Adam saw the heated exchange and walked over to them.  “Mom, please don’t be mad at dad.  I want to do this”, he insisted.  “It’ll make me feel better about all of this”, he waved his hands around.
“But Adam, it’s not necessary”, She assured him.
“I know that, but we’ll be able to have more fun.” He tried to convince her.
“I don’t feel right”, she crossed her arms.
“I need to do this, ok mom?  Please let me?”
“I don’t want you to think we can’t afford this vacation.”
“I don’t think that.  I’m not trying to make you feel bad, I just…  I’d rather the spend money on all of us.”
“I don't know…”  She was slowly giving in.
“Please don’t make a fuss over this, either.  It’s done and I forced dad to let me do it.”  He stood his ground.  “Ok, mom?”  He still wanted her approval.
“You’re not off the hook yet”, she pointed at Ron.
“I know dear”, he rolled his eyes.
“Ok, dinner it is”, Pam finally conceded walking back to the confused trio.
“You gave dad money, didn’t you”, Kris whispered to Adam in the car on the ride back to the hotel.
Adam nodded, “Yeah, but don’t make a big deal about it, ok baby?”
“I won’t.  I love you, you know.”
“I love you too, Kris.”
~~~~

They got back to the hotel to shower and change before dinner.

The boys began undressing and got completely distracted by each other’s bodies.  “Oh Kris”, Adam fondled his naked ass, kissing him into the bathroom and then shoving him against the counter.  “I want you, baby, so bad.”

“Shower, now”, Kris commanded, pulling Adam inside the stall and going down on him as the water sprayed them clean.

Kris worked him over pretty nicely, smoothing his hands over Adam’s balls, licking and sucking his cock.  “I need to fuck you”, Adam panted, “right now.”

Kris stopped, grinned, and then Adam turned him around and bent him over, using the water as lube to open and stretch his hole, hitting his special spot, making Kris painfully hard and begging Adam to take him.   “You’re so ready for me, aren’t you, baby?”

Adam slicked up his cock and gently pushed inside of Kris.  “Ahh,” they both moaned as Adam entered him.  “God Kris, you feel so good.”

“Move, God, Adam”, Kris choked out.

Adam slid in and out, impaling Kris’s eager hole, over and over.  “Adam”, Kris finally pleaded.  “I need to come”.

“So good for me, baby”, Adam tugged on Kris’s cock, squeaking while Kris bucked into his hand, shooting reams of cum onto the shower wall.  Then Adam grabbed onto Kris thighs and fucked Kris hard until he was coming inside of him.

Adam turned him around and kissed him hard.  “God, I love making love to you.”

“I love that too, Adam.  But I also love when you fuck me hard”, he enunciated the last part.

Adam laughed.  “Yeah, I guess I did.”

They finished cleaning up and then Kris grabbed their towels.  Adam’s phone was buzzing as they came out of the bathroom.  “Chelsey”, they both said.

‘Be right there’, He texted her back.

~~~~
The Martin family jumped into a cab and headed for the BOA steakhouse in West Hollywood.  It was expensive, but had great food.  Pam sent Amanda a text on the way over to the restaurant because she was feeling guilty about Adam giving them money.  Amanda texted her back: ‘Let him.  It’ll make him feel less guilty about taking the money in the first place.’  She relaxed after that and decided to just enjoy the rest of the trip as well.
They were dropped off in front of the restaurant and walked inside where they were greeted by the hostess.  She led them to their table and handed everyone a menu while they sat down.
Pam looked at the prices and flinched.  Ron gave her a reassuring look and then told everyone to order whatever they wanted.
“Really?”  Chelsey questioned.
“Yes, we’re celebrating.”  Pam added.
“What are we celebrating?”
“Closure, moving on, family”, Pam winked at Adam and he smiled.
They poured over the menus, trying to decide which delicious dish to try.
“God, I can’t get past the appetizer list.  It all looks so good.”
“Well, let’s get a couple of those first.”
Just then, the waiter appeared and Ron ordered ‘Smoked Bacon and Comte Tart’, ‘Goat Cheese Baklava’ and two orders of ‘Chilled Jumbo Prawns’ for everyone to share.
For dinner, each person ordered a different cut of steak, all mouth watering and prepared perfectly.  Kris insisted that they add some surf to their turf.  Adam giggled at him.
“What?  That way I can help each of you.”
“Of course”, Adam chuckled.
Their salads arrived first, all choosing the ‘Classic Caesar’, followed by their drink orders.  The conversation was all about the amusement park this afternoon.  Everyone was careful to keep the subject away from more sensitive subjects, for which Adam was grateful.
Their meals came shortly after.  The ladies and Kris had the Petite Filet Mignon with lobster tails.  Kris wanted to save room for all the seafood he was hoping to acquire.  Brent and Ron got the ‘Forty Day Dry Aged New York Strip’ with the Herbed Butter Rub and Adam opted for the ‘American Kobe Beef Rib Eye’, ‘Blackened’ and all three got the crab legs.
The table got very quiet as they all dug into their food.  Kris kept eyeing Adam’s crab legs, so he’d take a bite, and then feed a bite to Kris, smirking at his very adorable boyfriend.
Chelsey couldn’t finish her lobster tail, so Kris happily took it off her hands.  “I’m not feeding you though”, she teased.
They finished their meal with coffee and an amazing ‘Crème Brule’ for dessert.
Afterwards, they walked along the strip and went into a few more of the shops.  Kris wanted to go into the guitar shop again, and Brent heard about another surf shop right there in West Hollywood that he wanted to go into.
Adam had his eyes on this clothing store called ‘Forgotten Saints’ on Melrose.  He had his eye on this leather jacket and a pair of jeans.  He even found an outfit for Kris.  “No way”, Kris tried to argue, saying he’d look ridiculous.  But, Adam made him try it on anyway and he looked so good that Pam insisted he get it.
They came out with their purchases, “We’ll look like we fit in now”, Kris conceded.  There was one other shop that Adam wanted to go into called ‘Rock and Republic’ on Beverly Boulevard, so they hopped into another cab.
Adam found a couple of pairs of great jeans for both him and Kris.  Even Chelsey and Brent each found a pair they couldn’t live without.
After the shopping, they stopped at a café for coffee and then grabbed a cab back to the hotel.
They were getting up early the next morning and going back to Venice Beach.  “Not as early as last time”, Pam pleaded.
“No, but we don’t want to miss the best waves”, Brent implored.
~~~~

The boys got into their room and decided to take a shower.  They just washed each other and played around and then got into bed together.  "I'm going to miss this when we get home", Adam said, wrapping his larger body around Kris.

"Yeah, me too, Adam; separate rooms”, he said, sadly.

"Let’s make the most of it while we’re here then, baby”, Adam said, laying Kris back and rolling on top.  “Mm, love you so much, Kris…”

~~~~
They woke up the next morning, got dressed and met the family for a quick breakfast.  “Don’t eat too much, you two”, Pam addressed Brent and Kris.
“Ready for the real waves, Kris?” Brent mimicked being on a board.
“Definitely.”
“Alright, everyone else eat up.”
Soon they were piled in the van and their way to the beach.  Brent hoped that his friends were there.  He wasn’t ready to surf without a bunch of reinforcements, uh support.  Sure enough, they parked at the same lot and walked down the sand and found the bunch of guys already gathered.
“Brent”, they greeted him.
“Hi guys”, he said.  “This is my family.”
“Nice to meet all of you”, they said, shaking their hands.  “Ready to get out there, buddy?”  He addressed Brent.
“Yeah, Kris and I took a lesson yesterday.”  Then he pointed at the two boys, “These are my brothers, Kris and Adam.”
The dude gave Brent a funny look.  Adam and Kris’s arms were around each other and they were standing way close.
Brent turned and looked at what he was staring at.  “Oh, they’re not blood related.”
“Awesome”, the guy decided and officially invited Kris to join them.  “Adam, what about you?”
“Oh no, I have more fun just watching Kris.”
“Cool.  Well, let’s get you two geared up, alright?”  There was a surfboard rental nearby.  Soon they were in gear and each had a beginning board.
It took a few tries, but Brent was finally riding a wave.  It took Kris just a little longer, and then he was up as well.  Adam and Chelsey made a new bet, and Pam saw money exchanges a few times.
“Really, you two?”  Pam chided.
“It’s all in fun, mom”, they both snickered.
Brent and Kris surfed for a while, but the rest were getting bored and wanted to go swimming, which was a little further down the beach.
“Hey baby”, Adam called Kris when he was taking a breather.  “We’re gonna go and get a spot on the beach and swim.  You want to stay here for a while?”
“No, I’m done.  I’d rather be with you.”
“You sure, Kris?  It’s ok if you want to stay.”  He assured him.
“I’m sure”, he said, carrying his surfboard back to the rental stand.
Brent wanted to stay with the guys.  They invited him to a party later that evening.  So, the Pam made him promise to stay in touch by text.  They’d either pick him up later, or he could cab it back to West Hollywood.  One of the guys overheard, “Hey, I live in West Hollywood.  I’ll drop him off tonight.”
“Just be careful”, mom warned.
~~~~

They left Brent with his new friends and walked over to the swimming beach.

“Have fun, baby?” Adam asked Kris.

“Yeah, I did”, he shrugged.

Adam gave Kris a look, but let it go.

“Well, Brent’s sure taken to it”, Pam commented.

“Next he’ll probably want to transfer out here, major in surfing”, added Chelsey.  They all laughed at that.

They found a good spot and dropped their things.  Adam laid out a blanket for him and Kris and put their towels on it.

“Last one in”, Chelsey yelled, running down to the water, Adam and Kris sprinted after her.

Brother Love - Chapter 71

Adam and Kris spent the short drive back to the hotel talking in the far back seat about their visit with Joan.  "I just can't believe that she knew nothing about your mom."  Kris whispered, perplexed.

"She kept it a secret from everyone”, Adam concluded.  “I guess I should be grateful.  One less adult to be disappointed in," he said thoughtfully, thinking back to the guys at the bar.

"Maybe Jerry and Terrance didn't know either?"

"But they said they did, sort of."  He wondered.

Meanwhile, up front, Ron and Pam were quietly discussing their visit to the bar and their conversation with those two.

“Maybe we should just let it go?”  Ron asked.

“I think Adam would want to know everything.”

~~~~
They got back to their rooms to get changed.  Adam didn’t want to think about Joan or the bar or anything else for a while.
After a quick make out session on the very comfortable bed, they got dressed, and met everyone in the suite, and they all walked down to the pool together.
They were several sunbathers along the deck and a few kids splashing in the pool.  The Martins found an empty table to put their things on and then a couple of lounge chairs that were free.  Adam wanted to swim, burn off some steam, so he cannon-balled into the water yelling for Kris to join him.
After some much needed ‘play time’, the boys got out of the water and joined Ron and Pam at the table.
“So can we talk about today?” Adam asked, sitting down, wrapping a towel around himself.
“Sure sweetie.  How was your talk with Joan?”
“Weird”, he said, looking at Kris.
“What do you mean?”
“She didn’t know anything about my mom or anything really.  Oh, except she knew that she had a drug problem.”
Adam went on to tell the entire conversation.  How she thought that Leila had a second job waitressing.  He huffed, saying that.
“She had no idea that she was a whore or made me one”, Adam said, cringing.
“Well, maybe she was embarrassed”, Pam suggested.
“She should have been”, Adam yelled.  “Anyway, Joan told me that she talked to my mom a lot, and she said that my mom loved me and was trying her best”, he shrugged.  “I don’t know…”
“Maybe she was, Adam.  Drug addition can make people act in ways that are inconceivable to most of us.  It’s not an excuse, however.”
It was always nice talking to mom.  She made Adam see things better.
“Well, I wasn’t sure if we should tell you about our little chat with Jerry.”
Adam sat straight, “Yeah, I want to know what you talked about.”
“Well, dad… both of us, were about to lay into him for allowing the exploitation of a minor to go on under their noses, but he opened up first.”
“Adam was such a sweet little boy”, he started.  “Leila had worked for years at the bar and we knew she had problems.  But, I run a business here, not a counseling service, so we try and stay out of our employee’s lives, you know?”
Pam and Ron weren’t sure where this was going.
“As long as they come to work and don’t steal, we don’t worry about anything in their personal lives.”
Pam nodded in understanding.
“Anyway, Leila had that sweet boy, and she’d talk about him all the time.  We never saw him much at first.  When she was working, Joan, upstairs would watch him.  When he was around eight or nine, she started bringing him to the bar when she worked.  We argued about it at first, but he was a good boy; stayed out of trouble.  Anyway, when he was a little older, we gave him a job, which he seemed to truly appreciate.”
He stopped for a moment.
“We had absolutely no idea that Leila was a prostitute at first.  She kept that totally separate from her life here.  We knew that she’d been in jail a couple of times, but we just thought it was for drugs. We did know about that problem.  Anyway, when Adam was about twelve, I guess, it was pretty obvious to everyone that he was gay.”
Pam looked at him questioningly.
“He paid more attention to the men than to the girls on stage, that’s all I meant.  Anyway, Leila noticed too, one night and I don’t really know exactly what happened; it was just a rumor, that she forced a man on him.”
Pam and Ron both looked horrified.
“I confronted her when I heard the story from one of the girls several days later.  She totally denied it.  But, she kept him away from us after that.  I even called child services.”
“You did?”  Ron spoke.
“Of course, I did. But, she begged us not to let them take Adam away. And she’d never do that to him again, and so on…”
He looked at these two caring adults and his heart broke for Adam.  “I’m so sorry.  I should have done more.”  He actually cried.
“And that’s basically it.”
“Do you believe him?”  Kris asked.
“There’s no reason not to.  Anyway, that’s about when you two came back and then we left.”
Adam just nodded.  ‘At least they weren’t ok with everything.’  “Thanks mom.”
“You’re welcome, sweetie.”
“You know, I thought that this trip would bring closure.  I was going to waltz into that bar and prove to them how far I’d come.  But when I went in there, they were so happy to see me and truly glad that I was ok.  Now, I don’t really know how I feel.  It’s not really about proving me to anyone other than… myself.”
“That is what it comes down to, isn’t it?”
“Do you regret coming at all, Adam?”  Ron asked this time.
“No.  I lived here for years, but never really saw it, you know?  I’d never even been to the beach, not once.  Now, I’ve gotten to see the better part of Hollywood and California, thanks to you two.”
He stood up and gave his parents a hug.
“Now, I just want to put all of this behind me.  Forgive everyone I should, and let everything else just go.”
“I agree, sweetie.”
“Well, we better get ready for dinner and the show, I think”, Ron said, looking at his watch.”
“We’re seeing wicked”, Adam squealed.  “I’m so excited.”  He jumped up, ready to go.
~~~~

Ron called ahead to make a reservation at Dillon’s Irish Pub, but they didn’t take them.  “We better head out, then”, he told everyone, hoping that they wouldn’t have trouble getting in.

They took a cab to the restaurant which was right near the theatre.  Ron double checked his pockets for the tickets and they headed out.

The restaurant was crowded when they arrived, but they were seated right away.  Brent and Ron noticed the big screen TV on the way to their table.  “Dad, this would be a cool place to watch a game”, he noticed several dudes at the bar yelling to the television.

“Yeah it would; thirty different kinds of beer”, he high-fived Brent.  That earned a look from Pam and snickers from the rest.

They ate burgers and salad and then paid the check.  Adam was anxious to get to the theatre.  “I’ve been waiting so long for this”, he said dreamily.

The crowd of theatre-goers was ushered into the lobby as the doors of the Pantages opened.  Adam wanted to find their seats right away so they handed their tickets to the usher and were shown their third row orchestra seats.  “Oh my God, these are amazing.”  Adam commented as they were seated.  “Dad, I don’t even know what to say.”

“Well, thank my boss”, he chuckled, taking his own seat.

Kris and Brent wanted to head out to the lobby to check out the food, of course.  But Adam wanted to stay put.  “You go ahead, baby”, he urged Kris.

Adam and Chelsey chatted happily about what they knew of the musical.  “I always wanted to do this one in high school.  It’s one of my favorites.”

“I just love the nice witch, what’s her name?”  Chelsey asked.

“Elphaba?”  Adam laughed, knowing that’s not what she meant.

“No, the blonde.”

“Well, in this story Elphaba is the nice one, Chels”, he laughed.  “But you’re talking about Galinda”, he said, accentuating the ‘a’, as the character does in the play.  “My favorite is Fiero.  I hope he’s awesome.”  Adam could so picture himself up there.  He couldn’t wait to get to college and start performing again.

Kris and Brent came back with their arms full.  “Didn’t you two eat enough at the restaurant?” Adam giggled.

About ten minutes later, the theater got dark, announcing curtain time.  Adam was bursting with excitement.

~~~~
The first half of the show was amazing.  Adam couldn’t stop clapping.  The girls were great.  The singing was awesome, but when Fiero came out of that cart, sleepily, Adam was mesmerized.  The guy playing him was really good and had a great voice, but Adam saw himself up there.
The intermission was about twenty minutes long, so they entire family shuffled into the lobby to stretch, use the restroom, get more snacks (Brent).
“I want to meet them”, Adam said.  “I wonder if that’s possible.”  He asked looking around.
The lights went down again, as the second act begun.  Adam’s favorite song was ‘As Long as You’re Mine’, of course.  He thought the actor did a fabulous job.  He wondered if he’d ever get to New York to see it on Broadway.  He remembered Bill, Tanner’s brother, who lived there and thought, maybe one day.
After the show was over, Ron urged everyone to follow him.  They headed out of the Theatre exit and then walked around to the back.
“Where’ we going, dad?”  Brent asked, running to catch up.
“It’s a surprise for Adam”, was all he said.
They reached the stage door entrance.  There were a few others, but not many, so Ron was able to get them right to the door.
“What’s going on?”  Adam asked this time.
“Just wait”, Ron said, pointing to the door.
A few minutes later, some of the actors came out and were willing to talk to the fans, take pictures and sign autographs.
“Oh my God, dad.”  Adam exclaimed.
Fiero came out after a few of the minor characters, and Adam was able to talk to him.  The guy was really nice.  Adam told him he was in beginning theatre arts school in the fall.  The guy looked Adam over, much to Kris’s chagrin.
“You should come out here and try your luck in the theatre.  We’re always looking for new blood”, he said.  Finally Elphaba and Galinda came outside.
They got autographs from everyone, Pam had thought to bring paper, and Adam took pictures with several of the cast members, including Fiero and the two leading ladies.
He thanked all of them, beaming the whole time as they walked around to the front of the theatre to catch a cab.
“I don’t think I liked the way that guy was looking at you”, Kris pouted.
“Aw, baby.  You’re the only one for me.  Besides, I don’t think he meant anything by it.”
But Kris held a little tighter to Adam after that.  ‘One day, someone amazing is going to try and steal him away’, he thought.
“Anyone tired yet?”  Pam asked the group.
No one was, so she suggested that they walk back to the Dillon’s and have some dessert and coffee before heading back to the hotel.
“Great idea, mom.”  Was the general sentiment.
~~~~

The Irish Pub was just as crowed as it was for dinner, but again, they were seated immediately.  The waitress brought them six decaf coffees, Pam insisted.

They got two orders each of Chocolate Mousse Cake, NY Cheesecake and ‘The Hollywood’, which was a lava fudge cake with ice cream and a whisky caramel sauce which they shared between the six of them.

Afterwards, they caught a cab back to the hotel.  Pam asked the group if they wanted to watch a movie together, but Adam asked if he and Kris could go back to their room.  He had a lot to think about and just wanted to relax.

“Sure, sweetie”, she said kissing them both on the cheeks.  “Get a good night sleep, and we’ll see you in the morning.”  The next day, they were going to Universal Studios.

Adam and Kris said goodnight to everyone and ran down the hallway to their ‘very private’ room.  “God I couldn’t wait to get you alone, baby”, Adam said, as he peeled away Kris’s clothing, kissing him everywhere.

Brother Love - Chapter 70

Adam woke up first, still wrapped up in Kris.  He kissed him on the cheek, while his boy slept on.  Adam smiled as he worked his way down Kris’s body, kissing him gently, so as to not wake him.  Not yet, he smirked.  Adam took him into his mouth, sucking and licking and giving the most delicious wake up.

Kris began to stir mumbling sleepily as Adam picked up the pace, working him over.  As Kris became fully awake, he realized what was going on and tensed, “Fuck, Adam”, he yelled, coming down his throat.

“God, amazing”, Kris said enjoying Adam cleaning him up with his tongue.  “What was that for?”

Adam just grinned, “Thank you.”

“Mm, your welcome”, He said, pushing Adam on the bed, kissing the breath out of him and then returning the favor.

Afterwards, they took a shower, dressed and then met the family in the suite for breakfast.

The previous night, Brent had looked into surfing lessons and signed him and Kris up for a two hour private lesson that morning.  He printed out the waivers and both he and Pam had to sign, since Kris was still a minor.

Pam took the paper from Brent and read the risks out loud.  “I acknowledge that surfing can be dangerous…

…surfing specifically, involves inherent risks.  I may damage my belongings, get hurt, get injured, become ill, drown, or even die.”

Pam looked up at Kris and Brent.  “I don’t think this is a good idea.”

“Mom, no one ever died from a surfing lesson.  They’re just being precautious”, Brent assured his mom.

She finished reading it and handed it to Kris.  “Eat light, boys.  You don’t want to get sick”, Pam warned.

“Are you sure that you don’t want to do it with us, Adam?”

He just shook his head as Chelsey answered for him, “Nah, we’re going to have more fun watching you two.”

“How much does it cost, Brent?”  Ron asked, seemingly concerned.

Adam, who’d been listening back and forth, took that as a sign that Pam and Ron were worried about money.  He made a decision.  “Dad, can I talk to you for a minute?”  He asked, standing up, nodding for Ron to follow him into the other room.

“Use some of the money to pay for the rest of the trip, please?”

“Adam, that’s not necessary.” Ron assured him.

“I want to.” he insisted.  “Besides, we could have a lot more fun.  Kris and Brent could take a longer surfing lesson.”  Then he added, “And I’d feel much better about the money knowing that I’m helping the family, please?”

Ron started to object, but Adam stood firm.  “Dad, I need to do this.”

Ron shook his head in defeat.  “Alright, Adam.  That’s really a nice thing to do.”

Ron grabbed the laptop and went online to his banking institution.  The new account had been added, so he was able to transfer some money into his checking account.

Adam stood firm on the amount, though.  “Adam, that’s too much.”

“No it’s not”, Adam insisted, pushing the button on the computer to seal the deal.

They went back into the kitchen area.  “Everything alright?” Pam asked the pair.

“Yeah”, they both agreed.

“Well, are you two ready?”  Pam asked Brent and Kris.

“I can’t wait to see this”, Chelsey giggled.  “You two falling on your asses.”

“Chelsey”, Pam reprimanded.

“Come on, it should be very entertaining.”

~~~~
Ron pulled the van out of the driveway and then headed to Santa Monica.  The surfing school was located right on the beach near lifeguard tower 18.
“In case someone needs to rescue you”, Chelsey teased, making Adam laugh.
“You two are very funny.  Kris and I are athletic.  We won’t have any problem at all”, Brent promised, puffing out his chest.
“Let’s make a bet on who falls off their board first.” Adam whispered to Chelsey.
They found parking right in front of where they were meeting the instructor.  They spotted him right away because he was surrounded by surf boards and wet suits and was waving furiously at them.
“Oh man”, Kris and Brent were running down to the shoreline.  “This is gonna be so great.”
Adam, Chelsey, Ron and Pam took a seat in the sand, close enough to see, but far enough not to make them nervous.
Kris and Brent were the only students as this was a private lesson.  The instructor promised that they would be able to get up and actually surf by the end of the two hours.
It was quite comical to watch at first.  The instructor spent some time with them on the beach, but soon they were taking their boards out on the water and before they knew it, both boys were laying on their boards, paddling out to the waves.  The Martins could see the instructor speaking to them and pretty soon, he was yelling to them to get up and take the wave.
Kris fell first, laughing.  Pam caught Adam putting something in Chelsey’s hand.  “You win”, he said, cracking up.  Brent did fall right after that, causing them both to roll over, laughing.
“Hey, it’s their first time”, Pam scolded, smiling.
“Aw, we’re just having fun, mom.”
“It is pretty funny”, she agreed.
But the next wave, they both were up and were actually riding for a few seconds before falling again.  They instructor said a few more things to them and they tried it again.
Before the two hours were up, both of them were riding waves and having a blast.  Adam was standing and cheering for Kris.
“That was totally awesome”, they both said as they returned the boards and wet suits to the instructor and went over to where the Martins were standing and waving to them.
“Oh my God, that was amazing”, Brent said.  “Um so can we go back to Venice beach another day?”  He asked.
“That was so much fun”, Kris said to Adam.
“You looked fantastic, baby.  I’m so proud of you.”
They spent a little time on the pier, had lunch, and then went back to the hotel.  Adam wanted to see Joan today.  Only this time, he wanted Kris with him.  And, he asked if the entire family would come to the bar and then wait for him and Kris while they went upstairs.
They agreed.  Ron wanted to meet these people and get some answers of his own.
They drove to the bar and parked right in front.  Adam led everyone inside.  Terrance turned his head as the group entered.  “Adam”, he came out to greet them.  “Is this your family?”
“Hey, Terrance”, Adam replied to the bartender.  “They all decided to come with me while Kris and I go up and see Joan.  Is it alright if they stay here?
“Sure, sure; let me get you to a table”, he addressed the Martins.  “Can I bring something for you to drink?”
Adam and Kris thanked them all for coming and he took Kris by the hand as they went upstairs to see Joan.
They knocked on her door and waited for it to open.
It took a few minutes and then a door slowly opened by an elderly woman in a wheelchair.  She stared at Adam with her hands over her mouth for a moment.  “Adam”, she motioned for him to bend down and hugged him then stared up at him.  “I thought I’d never see you again”, she said with tears in her eyes.
“You remember me?”  He was a little surprised.
“Of course I do, sweetie”, she ushered them inside, shaking Kris’s hand and introducing herself.  She led them to her couch and patted it, inviting them to sit while she sat next to the couch.
“Sit down, sit down, can I get you something to drink?”
“No thank you.”  He answered her.
“And who is this young man with you?”
“This is Kris.  He’s my boyfriend, Joan.”
“Oh”, she looked like she had no idea Adam was even gay.  “Well nice to meet you, Kris.”  She turned to look at Adam again.  “It’s so good to see you, Adam.  I’ve often wondered what happened to you.  So what brings you by after all this time?”
“I just wanted to talk to you.  I have a lot of questions about my mom.”
“Adam, I’m so sorry for your loss”, she said, sweetly.
“Could you please tell me about her?”
She looked at him strangely.  She’d only died three years ago.  Adam was raised by her.  “Well, I met your mom when you were just a baby.  It was in the hallway.  She was pushing you in a stroller and she seemed a little overwhelmed.”
“Overwhelmed?” he repeated.
“Yes, she was a single mom, working two jobs”, she said, “and also trying to raise you alone.  We talked a lot, and I offered to watch you when she was working.  I was still walking then, she pointed to her chair.”
“Two jobs?”  ‘Here it comes’, he thought to himself.
“Well, she was a waitress at the bar downstairs of course and she mentioned a few times about another place somewhere on Hollywood Boulevard.  I think she was a waitress there, too.”
Adam looked over at Kris.  ‘Was it possible that Joan had no idea?’
As the conversation continued, Adam realized that Joan really did have no idea.  She talked about his mom like she was this lovely person, who tried very hard to raise her child.  ‘My mom kept her other life completely a secret.  Maybe she was really trying.’
“As I got older, you watched me less and less”, he accused.
“Well you were in school, and you had activities that she put you in.”
‘Activities?’  Adam shook his head, ‘Wow, this was priceless’
“Then I got sick, and ended up in this chair, mostly”, she smiled apologetically.
“You can’t walk at all?”
“With assistance; I use a cane whenever I go out, which isn’t very often.  Occasionally, I’ve gone to the bar to ask about you.”
“Jerry told me.”
“Adam, your mom really did love you.  I know she had her problems.  I encouraged her to get help for her...”  She looked around the room for some reason and then whispered, “Drug problem.”
“You knew my mom had a drug problem.”
“She tried so hard to get clean.  I know that a few times, when she was struggling, she sent you to live with relatives.”
“Relatives?”
“Yes, who was it?  A sister in Arkansas or something…”
“My Aunt Elizabeth.”  He finished for her.
“Yes, that’s right.  Anyway, I didn’t see your mom very much anymore, and then I heard that she’d died.”
“I moved back for a while.”
“You did?”  She looked surprised.  “I had no idea.  You should have come and visited me.”
“It wasn’t for very long.” He wondered why he never did that either.  He’d forgotten about her.  Then he got picked up for prostitution and sent to jail and then…
“So did you go and live with your aunt?”
“I did.”
“I’m glad you have someone, Adam.”  She patted him on the hand.
“She died six months later.”
“Oh Adam, I’m so sorry.”
Adam went on to explain what happened to him and how he ended up with the Martins and Kris.  He didn’t have the heart to tell her who his mom really was, or what she had made him do.  After a while, they said their goodbyes, and left Joan alone.
The walk back downstairs was quiet; each one in their own thoughts as they walked back into the bar.  Chelsey and Brent were seated at the bar talking to Terrance with a couple of the girls who also knew Adam.
They found their parents sitting at a table talking to Jerry.  It seemed like a deep conversation.  Pam noticed them first, and tapped Ron on the shoulder.  They both stood up.  “Are you ready to go?”  Pam said, abruptly.
“Yeah mom.”
They both shook Jerry’s hand and he walked them to the door.
“Good bye, Adam”, Jerry gave him a hug.  “It was really good seeing you.”
“Thanks Jerry”, Adam hugged him back.  “I’ll see ya around.”
“Sure, Adam.”
Everyone said their good byes, and the Martin family left the bar, for good.
“Everything go alright with Joan?”
“Yeah mom, it did.  Can we talk later?”
“Sure sweetie.”
They walked outside and then piled into the van.  “So Adam, what do you want to do for the rest of the day?”  Ron asked him.
He thought about it for just a minute.    “I’d like to go back to the hotel and hang out at the pool if that’s alright?”
“I think that’s a great idea, Adam.  Then we’ll head over to the Pantages Theatre early and have dinner before the show.”
Everyone had almost forgotten that tonight was ‘Wicked’.  Adam couldn’t wait.
Brother Love - Chapter 69 - Toppy Kris Drabble
Kris got an evil grin on his face that could only mean one thing.  “Well…”
“Ok baby”, Adam giggled.  “I’m all yours. Do whatever your want”
Kris who never shied away from a challenge, or in this case, request, gave Adam a delicious smirk and kissed him full on the mouth; Adam submitting beneath him becoming perfectly pliant.
"Ah Kris", he groaned.
"I'm here baby, gonna take such good care of you."
Adam closed his eyes while Kris undressed him, caressing each exposed bit of Adam's skin.  He bit his neck, then licking the red area and kissing it before moving on to his chest.  Kris licked across one nipple and then sucked, causing it to harden, along with something else.
"Fuck, baby."
"Shh, patience my usually very toppy boyfriend;  I'm in control now", Kris teased, licking the other bud, flicking it with his tongue, causing joyful sounds to squeak out of Adam.
Kris played with the elastic band of Adam's shorts and when Adam began to wiggle, tenting the sleep pants with his growing erection, he took pity and gently lowered them but not touching Adam where he was longing to be touched.
When Adam was fully naked, Kris sat between his legs, admiring his work.  Adam spread out in front of him, cock hard and eyes blown with want.
"So pretty, Adam."
"Kris, please."
"What do you want me to do?"  He asked, mischievously.
"Anything, fuck me", he demanded.
Kris pushed Adam's knees up to expose his hole and licked across it, dipping his tongue just inside and swirling it, Adam twitching, trying to push it in further.  Instead, Kris removed it and slowly licked across his balls, taking one into his mouth and sucking, then the other one, making Adam painfully hard, pre-cum now leaking out of the slit of his dick.
Then Kris moved his tongue to the base of Adam’s cock and licked a stripe along the entire length, licking around the sensitive area just below the tip sucking and licking and then finally engulfing his cock completely into his hot, wet mouth.
Adam almost came right then.  Kris, realizing that, released him, slapping his hands away when Adam wanted to touch himself.  "Not yet, Adam", he scolded.
Kris reached for the lube and poured some on his fingers.  Then he pressed one finger inside of Adam, looking for that special place.
Adam let out of squeal when he found it.  Proud of himself, Kris added another finger and soon another beginning to stretch Adam, but continuing to hit that spot, causing wanton moaning from the blubbering form that used to be his boyfriend.
"Ok baby, ready for me?"  Kris asked gently.
"God yes", Adam yelled.
Putting Adam's long legs over his shoulders, Kris grabbed his hips and began pushing his cock into Adam's exquisitely tight ass.
"Doing alright, baby?"  He asked him.
"Yeah, keep going."  Adam panted.
Kris slid all they way in and stopped to look at the man beneath him.  "You're beautiful, Adam."
"Kris, baby.  Move", Adam giggled, which turned into a deep moan.
He obliged and slid almost all they way out of Adam and then gently and slowly, pushed in.  He did that just a couple of times before Adam was begging for more.
Kris picked up the pace, moving in and out, building up a rhythm of hard and fast thrusts causing Adam to cuss incoherently, begging Kris for release.  He took pity on the thrashing mess beneath him and reached for Adam’s swollen and leaking cock and gave it a few pulls before Adam was screaming Kris's name and coming all over his hand and his own stomach.
“Oh fuck, baby that was…”
As Kris thrust a few more times into Adam’s ass and then came inside of him, pumping through his orgasm.
“Adam.”  Kris fell on top of him, kissing his forehead, and telling him how beautiful he was.
“Thank you, baby, I really needed that.”
“Oh we’re not done.”
Adam just looked at him, too tired to move and completely spent.
“It’s my turn now.”
Adam groaned.
“Don’t worry, I’m gonna do all the work”, he promised, as he got up and went to the bathroom to get a wash cloth.  He came back to the bed and began to clean Adam.  He gently smoothed the wet cloth over Adam’s cock and thighs.  Apparently, Adam thought that was incredibly hot, because he was getting hard again.
Giggling, Kris moved the cloth to Adam’s ass, and cleaned the come from there as well, gently rubbing Adam’s back side.  When he was finished, he threw the towel into the sink and came back to find Adam fully erect.  “Good”, he said, smirking again.
“I love bossy Kris.”
“Mm.”
Kris turned around so his ass was facing Adam as he grabbed for the lube and began opening himself up for Adam.
“God, so hot, baby”, Adam was purring at the sight of his boyfriend fingering himself.
When Kris accidentally hit his own prostate, he made this sound that went straight to Adam's cock, twitching and leaking again.
Adam lay panting till Kris had stretched himself and then he watched in wonder as Kris slid himself onto Adam's cock until he was fully seated.  Resting only for a moment; Kris began fucking himself on Adam's dick, bouncing up and down.
"Turn around, baby.  I want to see you", Adam said softly.
Without lifting off completely, Kris turned himself to face Adam, uttering cuss words as he worked his ass around Adam's cock, adjusting his angle to hit his prostate getting himself worked into a frenzy.  When he couldn't take it anymore, Kris grabbed his own leaking cock and began jerking himself off, while still bouncing.  His head was thrown back as he pleasured himself and he looked fucking incredible.
"God this is the hottest thing I've ever seen Kris."
Kris clenched and ribbons of cum began shooting all over Adam's stomach.  Kris opened his eyes and looked positively debauched.
"Kris", Adam pulled Kris out of his fog and his attention went back to the task at hand.  With just a few more thrusts from Kris, Adam came, hard.
"Oh fuck, baby", Adam said as Kris raised himself off of his softening cock and then went to get a fresh washcloth.
This time, Adam lay Kris down, and cleaned him up, kissing and whispering in his ear, "Baby, you're incredible", and "I love you so much, Kris."
They boys lay happy and sated, wrapped around each other and soon fell fast asleep.
Brother Love - Chapter 69
They drove into Venice beach and parked the car, calling Chelsey and letting her know they were back.  They would meet her and Brent on the boardwalk at The Sidewalk Café.
Brent was still with the surfers, getting board tips when Chelsey texted him.  He said good bye to his new friends and vowed to come back after a lesson.
Chelsey had already gotten an outside table for six when Brent joined her.  “So, you’re ready to live out here?”  She chuckled.
“Oh my God, yes.  I’m having such a blast.”
A few minutes later, the rest of the Martin’s joined them.  Adam had stopped off at a restroom to splash cold water on his face and recompose.
He was beginning to feel only slightly better.
They found Chelsey and Brent easily.  “So, how’d it go?”  Chelsey asked concerned.
Adam just shrugged his shoulders, head down.
“It went fine dear.  I think right now, Adam would just like to relax.   We’ll talk about it later.”
“Ok”, she agreed to drop it, looking down at the menu.  “So, I wonder what’s good.”
~~~~

During the meal, Adam decided to talk about everything.  He told Chelsey and Brent about the attorney and the letter and the money.

“How much money is it, Adam?”  Brent asked.

Kris realized he didn’t know how much it was either and perked up.

“2.3 million dollars”, he said with a straight face.

Chelsey about choked on her soup.  “Are you serious?”

“Yeah.”

“That’s awesome.”

“Whatever.”  He shrugged again.

They looked disconcertedly at him.

Pam went on to explain why she thought Adam didn’t want the money.  He didn’t interrupt, so she figured she was pretty close.

“Can I call Amanda now?”  Adam stood up, reaching for his phone.

“Sure Adam, right now?”

Kris stood up too, “Do you want me to come with you?”

He just nodded and took Kris’s hand and walked away from the table, dialing Amanda’s number.

“Is he ok, mom?”  Chelsey asked.

“Well, he just learned that his mom, who made him work the streets for money, apparently was rich.  She also never said she loved him in that letter.  I think that’s what hurt him the most.  I’m sure she did in her own way…  My heart’s breaking for him right now.  Money isn’t exactly a consolation for a mother’s love.” She said as she watched Adam talking on the phone with Kris by his side.

~~~~
“Amanda?”
“Adam”, she sounded excited to hear from him.  "Hi honey, how's California?"
"It's great", he said unconvincingly.
"You don't sound like it's so great.  What's going on?"
Adam told her about going to the bar and getting the letter from the attorney.
Then he told her about going to see Fletcher Watkins and the will and everything.
"I don't want anything from her, Amanda."  He said with tears in his eyes.
"Adam, you could be set for life.  You need to think about that, and about Kris."
He looked over at Kris and smiled.  He needed to take care of Kris.
"But I don't know what she did to get all that money."
"You don't need to, sweetie.  Think of it this way.  You're mom wanted a better life for you, even though she couldn't give it to you. This money is yours."
"I'm so confused right now."
"I know you are, Adam.  Tell you what.  When you get back, we'll have a long talk about all that you learned about your mom, alright?"
"Ok."
"In the meantime, have Ron call Tanner so they can discuss the legalities of the money.”
He just nodded.
"Adam, you have so many people in your life who love you."
"I know", he said with tears streaming down his face, looking at Kris.
“Thanks, Amanda.  I love you."
"I love you too, Adam.  Have a great rest of your trip, and we'll figure this all out when you get home, alright?"
"Yeah, thanks."  He hung up the phone and put it in his pocket.  Kris pulled Adam into his arms and held him tight.
They walked back to the table.  Pam stood up and gave Adam a hug.  “I love you so much, Adam.”  She kissed him on the cheek.
“I know that, mom.  Thank you”, he hugged her back and then the three of them sat down.
Adam took a long sip of his soda.  “Dad, Tanner wants you to call him as soon as you can.”
“Alright, Adam.”
“Right now, I really like to forget about all of this and just enjoy the rest of our vacation.”
“Here, here”, they all raised their glasses in a toast.
“So, I think Kris and Brent wanted to learn to surf?”  He said, smiling.
“What about you?”  Kris asked.
“Nah, I just want to watch you, baby.”
“Well, we’ll look into that, maybe for tomorrow.”  Pam promised.
They decided for today to drive down to Long Beach to visit the Pacific Aquarium.  They had heard from several sources that it was definitely a place to see while they were in California.
After lunch, they walked along the boardwalk, going into a few shops, before heading back to the van.  Pam drove, so Ron could call Tanner in the car.  Amanda had already explained everything to him, so he was prepared to offer advice when he spoke to Ron.
Then Ron called the bank set up a new account.  They had their signatures on file, so they could do it all over the phone.  The account was in Adam and Ron’s name.  They would visit the bank when the got home to diversify the money into different types of accounts and get additional advice.  His last call was to the attorney, Fletcher Watkins, giving him the wiring instructions.
Once all the business was taken care of, at least as much as he could do away from home, Ron put the phone down and told Adam that everything would be alright.
Adam nodded.  He still had many questions.  He would visit Joan in the morning.
~~~~

Pam easily found the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.  She pulled into the parking lot and took a spot in the shade.  First, they walked to the ‘boat’, to purchase their tickets and were ushered through the main entrance where a photographer was waiting to snap their picture.  They took a group photo, and then Adam and Kris wanted one together.

The group made their way into the Great Hall of the Pacific and the huge life-sized replica of the Blue Whale with her baby calf.  “Whoa”, Kris said as they walked under her.

They watched a couple of the exhibit previews before heading over to the ‘Blue Cavern’ to watch the divers interact with the animals in the tank like the giant Sea Bass, telling their stories to the audience.  Adam laughed at the halibut whose eyes are on the same side of its head, but the one eye ‘travels’ to the other side.  “Freaky”

Then they wandered over to the Southern California/Baja Gallery showing an array of sea life; kelp, spiny lobsters and jellyfish; leading into a water tunnel where you can watch and ‘play’ with the seals and sea lions.  “They are so cute”, Chelsey blurted.

At the other end of the tunnel, was a door that led to Lorikeet Forest.  It was an outdoor interactive aviary containing over a hundred lorikeets that you could feed if you purchased the nectar that they ate.  They would come right up to you and sit on your hand, sometimes many of them at once.

“Oh mom, look”, Chelsey squealed as the small bird sat on her arm as she fed it some nectar.

“Adam”, Kris yelled as three Lorikeets landed on his shoulder, beginning to chew on his hair.

“Can’t blame them, baby.  You’re tasty”, Adam teased, causing a glare from Pam.

He shooed the birds away and then one landed on top of his head.  Kris laughed as Adam ran in a circle, “It better not poop on me.”

The boys were most looking forward to Shark Lagoon where they had over 150 different sharks and Rays, and some that you could touch.  Kris ran over to the fish fountain that squirted water when you pushed the button, getting Adam wet.  “Hey”, he yelled, luring Kris into its path, soaking him as well.  Then they ran over to the ‘shark’ and pushed its button that blew air to dry off.

“Alright, come on you two”, Pam urged.  They went over to the touch pools and Kris knelt down at the Stingray’s and felt one.  “Ew, Adam, come here”, he said.  “Feel this guy.”

Adam knelt down beside him and touched the creature, “Feels slimy, like squishy rubber”, he giggled.

The rest of the family was at the shark touching pool.  “Adam, Kris”, mom called.  They walked over to them.

“Look at these sharks.” Brent commented excitedly.

“We can really touch them?”  Adam asked hesitantly.

“Yeah, they’re cool.”

Adam put his hand in the water and touched a zebra shark.  “Wow”, he said.  “Feels like sandpaper.”

“Doesn’t look like a zebra”, Kris commented about one of the sharks.

“No, the display says the adults lose their stripes and sometimes are called leopard sharks instead.”

There were interactive displays throughout the exhibit, where they learned fascinating facts about the sharks.  Apparently they are very misunderstood creatures.

They walked by a tank of the more deadly species.  “Can’t touch those”, Pam said as they viewed the scary Sawfish, Sand Tiger and Nurse sharks.

Once they had seen everything at Sharks Lagoon, they went upstairs to the second level of the SOCAL/Baja gallery with a larger variety of stingrays as well as some shovelnose guitarfish and the upper level of the seal/sea lion enclosure.

From there they entered the Northern Pacific Gallery which mainly covered habitats of the Bering Sea.  Their favorite part was the Sea Otter exhibit and the giant Pacific Octopus and these really cool sea stars, some which have in excess of twenty arms and beautiful colors.

Then, they went into the Tropical Pacific Gallery with the only live coral reef exhibit and over 1000 different colorful fish as well as seahorses and sea.  Kris saw a clownfish and pointed, “Look, its Nemo”, he laughed.

Adam just rolled his eyes at him, “Dork.”

They were having such a great time that Adam had mostly forgotten about his mom and the money.  He looked happy, having fun with his family.

It took them a couple of hours to get through all of the exhibits they wanted to see. They went back to the first level to catch some of the things they had missed as well as a quick run through the gift shop.

Once they were completely finished at the aquarium, everyone was starving, so they decided to stay in Long Beach for dinner.  They drove to Alamitos Bay Marina and parked the car.  They had wanted to try Buster’s Beach House for dinner.

They ordered Coconut Shrimp and Thai Chicken lettuce wraps for starters to share.   For dinner, Kris ordered the Mumbo Jumbo Combo with the Barbados Crab Cakes and the Tempura Coconut Shrimp meal.  “What, I love shrimp”, was his answer when Chelsey reminded him that they were getting the same thing as an appetizer.

Adam and Brent decided to each get the long board pizza, shaped like a surfboard with their choice of three toppings.  Dad got the Buster’s Prime rib and both Pam and Chelsey chose the Jamaican Jerk Chicken.

When their meal came, Adam still looked relaxed, so no one wanted to bring up the morning’s events.

After dinner, they walked around Long Beach and went into some of the shops.  Brent and Kris found a surf shop they wanted to see.  They were in awe over the selection of boards and wet suits.  The sales clerk asked if they needed help.  They told him that they wanted to learn to surf.  He suggested Santa Monica just like the guys at the beach had told Brent.

After a really long day, they got back into their car and drove back to their hotel in Hollywood.  Adam slept the whole way.  He was exhausted.  He laid his head on Kris’s shoulder, while Kris petted his hair and kissed his cheek.

When they got back to the suite, Pam insisted that everyone get into their pajamas and meet back in the living room for a movie.  The hotel had a great selection of on-demand movies.

Adam and Kris agreed, and went to their room to shower and change.  “Adam?”

“Yeah Kris?”

“I think you should keep that money.”

“What about mom and dad?”

“So, give them a little, but keep the rest for yourself.  Just think of what you could do with it.”

“I don’t know.  It doesn’t feel like it’s mine.”

“But just think, we could get a nice place together some day.”

“So, you want the money for yourself?”  He asked accusingly.

“No”, Kris defended.

“Why don’t you take it then, Kris, if it means so much to you?” Adam was getting angrier.

“Adam!”

“If having money is that important to you, it’s yours, Kris.”  Adam didn’t even know what he was saying, he was just angry.

“That’s not what I meant”, Kris sounded hurt.  “We could use it, for our future…  Together.”

Adam stood there, red faced, trying not to cry again.  “I’m sorry, baby.  I didn’t mean that.”

Kris knew that, but he was really stung by those words.  “I know you didn’t.”

“I’m just really confused.”

Kris wrapped Adam into his arm, “Its ok.  It’s going to be ok.”

Adam just nodded, letting Kris comfort him.  “Come on, let’s go”, Kris finally said and they finished getting dressed.

They left their room, feeling silly walking down the hall in their pajama pants, even though no one saw them.  They arrived at the suited giggling at each other’s attire.

“Oh good, you’re here.”  Pam ushered them into the living room where Ron and Brent were waiting for Chelsey and the snacks.

They boys snuggled together on the love seat and once Chelsey joined them with popcorn and mini pizzas, they started the movie.

“The Hangover, really?”

“Yeah, we’re all grownups now”, Pam chuckled.

They enjoyed the movie and each other’s company.  Adam really felt lucky to be in this family.  He wondered if everything worked out the way it was supposed to.  Maybe he should keep the money.  Kris was right; they’d be set for life to pursue whatever dreams they each had.  They both deserved that.

Adam nuzzled in closer to Kris and mentally thanked him.  Kris, always knowing what was on Adam’s mind, looked over to him and nodded.

~~~~
After the movie was over, the boys said goodnight and went back to their room.  “Good thing we packed pajamas”, Adam giggled.  “Would have been embarrassing to show up how we usually sleep”.
“Yeah, I don’t think mom would have appreciated that too much”, Kris responded.
“Kris”, Adam said, being serious again.
“Yeah?”
“I’m really sorry about earlier tonight.  I didn’t mean any of that.”  He said on the bed feeling ashamed.
“Oh Adam, I know that.”  Kris sat next to him, petting his hair.
He looked over to his boy, “How can I make it up to you?”  He asked with puppy eyes.
Kris got an evil grin on his face that could only mean one thing.  “Well…”
“Ok baby”, Adam giggled.  “I’m all yours.”
Brother Love - Chapter 68
The alarm went off at five o’clock in the morning, followed by the hotel’s wake up call.  Adam groaned into the phone, shaking Kris awake.
“Morning Adam”, Kris yawned and stretched, curling up to Adam.
“Argg, don’t want to get up”, Adam complained, wrapping himself around Kris.
Right then his phone buzzed.  He picked it up to see who was texting him.  Chelsey, of course.
“Come on”, Adam pulled Kris out of bed with him.  “Shower.”
~~~~

About twenty minutes later, they were leaving their room for the suite.  Everyone had a cup of coffee in their hand, regular, for once.

Chelsey met them at the door with two cups in her hand.  “Here”, she said sleepily.  “Whose stupid idea was it to get up this early?”

Brent walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek.  ”Thanks everyone; I know it’s early.”

“Oh Brent, no problem”, they all laughed.

Ron brought the car around and they drove to Venice Beach.  It was just a little closer to downtown LA and had a beautiful beach; lots of bikini’s and surfing for Brent.

“Ya know, Adam.  I would really love to try surfing too”, Kris whispered when they were in the car.

“Really, baby?”

“Yeah, wouldn’t you?”

“I don’t know.  I’d watch you.”

“I think would be a blast.”

“Maybe.”

They found a public parking lot a block away from the boardwalk.  It wasn’t crowded yet, since it was still first thing in the morning.  They found a coffee shop open and got to-go cups and walked down to the beach and found a spot to watch the surfers and sip on their coffee.  “We look like tourists”, Kris snickered.

The waves were pretty good and there was a lot of activity in the water; surfers up on their boards, some in the water, and a few at a time riding the waves.  Kris and Brent were drooling with envy.  “We have got to do this”, Kris whispered to Brent who smiled.  “Oh yeah.”  Even Adam had to admit that it looked fun, until he saw one guy riding really well, and then crashed into a wave, the board flying over his head.  Fortunately, the guy was ok, swimming towards his board, ready for another go.

“Man, that was awesome”, Brent said of the incident.

“He could have been hurt”, Pam commented.

After about an hour or so of watching the surfers, the Martins went back up to the boardwalk to find a place to eat breakfast.  They found a little café called Figtree’s where they could sit outside and view the ocean while they ate.

Pam really wanted to go to the lawyer’s office with Adam.  So did Chelsey, but they didn’t want to leave Brent here alone.  After some arguing about who should go and who should stay, Pam finally won.  Adam was glad, nothing like having mom there to hold your hand.  Dad would take care of the business and Kris, well, he always needed Kris.

Ron paid the check, and they said goodbye to Chelsey and Brent and went back to the car.  “I’m glad you’re coming, mom.”

“Good.  There was no way I wasn’t coming”, she chuckled.

Brent wanted to go back to the water and Chelsey wanted to shop, so they split up with plans to meet up in a couple of hours.

Brent went over to some of the surfers as they were polishing their boards, getting ready to go back out on the water. They were a nice group of guys, and they invited Brent to surf with them.  He had to tell them he’d never surfed before, and they encouraged him to try.  “But take a lesson first”, they all insisted, today you can just watch".  They told him that Santa Monica was the best place to learn to surf, but then come back here and ride with them.  They were also hanging out later on the beach and invited him and anyone else he wanted to bring. He wasn’t sure they’d be there that long, but definitely promised to come back another day.

He spent the rest of the morning with his new friends, talking about California and girls.  By the time he had to meet Chelsey, Brent had already decided he wanted to move here.

“You still have two years of college”, Chelsey reminded him.”

Meanwhile, Adam, Kris, Pam and Ron were headed into Los Angeles, just in time for rush hour traffic.  They left with plenty of time in case they got lost, which they did, twice.

“Honey, the GPS said to turn back there.”  Pam pointed to the street they just passed.

“It’s a one way, honey”, Ron said through gritted teeth.

“Oh.”

“There it is”, Kris pointed to the street they were looking for.”

Soon, they were pulling into the alley where a sign said, ‘Parking’.  They walked around to the front of the small, dilapidated building and went inside.  They were a small, dingy reception area with a desk and a tiny woman who asked their name.  They looked around and at each other.  Adam was really glad he had the three of them with him.  The place looked dodgy.

A burly man came out to greet them.  “Adam Lambert?”  He asked.

“I’m Adam”, he reached out his hand.

“I’m Ron, Adam’s dad, um... legal guardian.”

“And I’m his mom.”  Pam left it at that.  She was his mom.

“Nice to meet all of you, I’m Fletcher Watkins, attorney.”

They all shook hands, Kris staying very close to Adam who was beginning to look pale again.  Mr. Watkins led them into his office, offered everyone a seat and shut the door.

“Well Adam.  I’ve been waiting a long time to meet you.”

The guy acted like he knew who Adam was.

“You knew my mom?”  He asked suspiciously.

He cleared his throat before answering.  “I was her attorney.  She was my client."  His eyes shifted as he spoke.

Adam had his suspicions that they were more than client/attorney.

Ron spoke up this time, “So just what kind of a lawyer are you?”  He asked, looking around the shitty office, packed with overfilled file cabinets and just his desk with the few chairs.

“My clients have various backgrounds.  I usually assist them with their more unique issues.  Things for which they can’t seek regular council, or they would prefer not to…”, he cleared his throat again.

“So, you’re clients are criminals?”  Ron deduced.

Mr. Watkins shot him a look.  “Not criminals”, he answered, feebly.

No one believed him, but wanted the meeting to continue.  “So, how are you involved with Adam’s mother?”  Pam interrupted.

“Leila Lambert had a need for someone to protect some interests.”

“Interests?”

“Yes, money investing.”

“Why didn’t she go to an accountant?”

“She couldn’t afford one, or find one that would deal with this kind of business.”

“Criminal?” Ron spoke.

“And how could she afford you?”  Pam asked.

Adam was feeling very uncomfortable, but felt he needed to get beyond all the pussyfooting around.  “I think it’s clear that mom did favors in return for his help.”

They all looked at Adam in surprise, but then understanding and sympathy, while he remained deadpanned.

“Well, so…”  The lawyer stammered.  “I kept the money, um… hidden from certain people to keep her and it safe.”

“Money?”

“It’s probably better the less details you know; however, yes.  You’re mom had some dealings that generated a sizeable amount of income that, needed to be kept secret from certain people.”  He cleared his throat again while eying the group in front of him.

"Her pimp", Adam snorted.  “My mom was into something illegal.  Other than drugs or prostitution”, Adam couldn’t believe this guy was telling him this.

“No, not illegal, but…”

“How much money?” Ron cut him off.

“A lot.”

“Why?”  Adam asked.

“Why?” The attorney repeated.  “Why did she keep it hidden?”

“No, why did she make this money and then never spent any on me?”  He was getting angry at the memory of his tattered clothes, except the ones he wore at night to attract clients.

“Adam.”  He took a deep breath this time.  “Your mom was not a bad person.”

“Wow, she must have been a really good fuck.”

“Adam!”  Pam reprimanded.

The attorney just laughed, “She had your spunk too, boy.”

Adam was pacing now.

“Your mom wanted a better life for you; she just didn’t know how to get out of her own life.”

Adam sat down, he wanted to hear this.

“She was an addict, yes.  But she was smart.  She wanted to invest this money so one day she could give it to you.

“How do you know that?”

“She told me.”

Adam huffed.

“Let me read you the letter, Adam”, he pulled a letter out of his desk drawer and lay it on the table; the Martins all scooting their chair a little closer in anticipation.

He cleared his throat one last time and began reading.

'Dear Adam’, He began.

'I know I wasn't a very good mother and I'm sorry.  But if you're reading this then my life caught up with me and I'm dead and Fletcher Watkins found you.  I'm glad.  He's a good man.  Listen to him'

Adam looked up at Fletcher with disgust.  "You're not my father, are you?"

That shook everyone out of their trance and all glared at the lawyer.

He laughed.  "No Adam, I'm not your father.  I met your mom long after you were born."

Adam actually looked relieved.  "Did you know that she made me work the streets and give her the money?"

Fletcher looked down at the letter, not wanted to meet Adam's eyes.

"I was only your mother's attorney.  I never even met you."

But she talked about me."  It wasn't a question.

"Yes, but only regarding the money and her insisting that I find you if anything ever happened to you."

"Only took you two years", he spat sarcastically.

"Adam", Pam reprimanded again.

"Sorry."

"By the time I found out that your mother was dead, you were already gone.

"I'm in the court system."

"You're a minor.  I could only find out that you had left the state."

Adam was slightly satisfied that this guy did try to find him.  "Please continue."  Adam urged, wanting to get this over with.

Fletcher cleared his throat once again and continued.

'I made a lot of mistakes in my life, especially concerning you.  But, I've done some good things too, that with smart investments turned into a formidable sum of money, which I am leaving to you, my only son, Adam.'

Adam swallowed.

'Upon you turning eighteen, Mr. Fletcher is instructed to wire the money to a bank of your choosing.  This is your inheritance, Adam.  I’m sorry that I couldn’t give you more than that.

I'm hoping that you will use it wisely and make a better life for yourself than I ever could.

Mom'

And it was signed Leila Lambert and dated six years ago.  Adam looked up with tears in his eyes.  She didn't say she loved him.  Then he stood up, "I don't want it."

"What?"  They all said in surprise.

"Mom, my real mom.  The one who tells me every day she loves me, and dad.  I want you guys to have it.  You've done everything for me, for all of us.  You deserve it."

"Honey, I think we need to talk about this..."

"Are we done yet?"  Adam was already walking towards the door.

"I need you to sign some paperwork and then I'll need wiring instructions."

Ron spoke, "We'll need a day or so to get in contact with our lawyer back home and get an account set up for the transfer."

"Adam, come here, son", Ron said to him as Fletcher took out the official forms signing the money over to Adam.

"I don't want it."  He repeated.

"Adam, you still have to sign the papers, alright?"  Adam nodded.

Adam looked down at the sum of money and choked out, "Fuck."  He finished signing the papers and walked back over to Pam and Kris.

Ron shook Fletchers hand and thanked him for his time.  "I'll call you tomorrow."

"Adam?"  Fletcher called out before they walked out.  "Your mom did love you.  She told me many times."

The tears began to well up, and Adam had to get out of there.

They got back into the van and headed off to Venice Beach to find Chelsey and Brent.  Adam sat and stared, while Pam and Ron talked quietly in the front seat.  Kris took Adam's hand and then Adam rested his head on Kris's shoulder and began to cry.  He cried the entire way, letting out all those feelings, letting Kris console him.

Once he was cried out, he sat up, grabbing the tissues that Pam held out for him, trying to regain his composure, while Kris still held onto him.

“Mom?”

Pam turned around.

“I don’t know what to do.”

“It’s alright sweetie.  Let’s sit down later and we’ll discuss it all together”, she looked at Ron who nodded.  “Oh, and we also need to call Tanner.”

“I’d like to talk to Amanda, too.”

“I know.”  Pam understood Adam’s relationship to Amanda and she smiled.

Brother Love - Chapter 67

Adam turned pale staring at the envelope in his hand and began to shake.  “Adam, are you alright?”

They helped him to a seat and Jerry took his hand.  “It’s just a letter.”

Adam looked at him with wide eyes.  Why would a lawyer leave him a letter?

“Can I call someone for you?”

“Kris.”  Adam reached in his pocket and took out his phone, dialing Kris’s cell phone.

~~~~
The Martins walked over to the Pantages Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.  They found the box office and Ron gave them his name and showed his photo id.  They handed him an envelope with six tickets to see Wicked, day after tomorrow.
He pulled out the tickets to see where they were sitting.  He looked at them and said, “Orchestra.”
“We have orchestra seats?”  Pam repeated, grabbing the tickets out of Ron’s hands.  “Wow!”
“Ma’am, is it alright if we walk around the theatre?” Ron asked the girl behind the glass enclosed counter.
“Certainly”, she said.   “We don’t have any shows until this evening.”
They didn’t have anywhere else to go until Adam called them anyway, so they walked around the building, looking at all of the advertisements of shows past and future.  It wasn’t nearly as big or grand as the Kodak or Grauman’s, but it did have its own charm.
They wanted to stay close by, and there wasn’t much else to do in this area.  Ron got out the map and they found a few other theatres nearby, so they decided to walk in that direction.  They were on Hollywood Boulevard when Kris’s phone rang.  “Hello, Adam?”
“Kris”, he choked out.
“Adam, are you ok?”
“Please come.  Just you.”
“I’ll be right there”, he hung up the phone, looking worried.  “Adam wants me to come to the bar.”
“Do you want us to come with you?”
“No, he said just me, and he sounded really upset.”
“Ok honey, let’s all walk back to the bar, and we’ll wait across the street.  I thought I saw a couple of restaurants there.”
“I knew this was a bad idea”, Kris thought out loud, rubbing the back of his neck.
They quickly made their way to the sidewalk in front of the bar, and watched as Kris tentatively walked inside.  Then they found outdoor seating at a little café just across the street and two doors down, so they could see when Adam and Kris came out.
Kris walked inside, looking around for Adam.  He found Terrance first.  “Hi, you must be Kris.”
“Yeah, where’s Adam?”
“He’s sitting right over there.”
“What happened?  Did someone do or say something to him?”  He asked suspiciously.
“Protective, I see.   I’m glad he has you, Kris”, he assured.  “Jerry, the manager gave him a sealed envelope that we’ve had for over two years.  I think it just freaked him out.”
“Oh, ok”, he replied, confused.  “Thanks.”
Kris quickly went to the table where Adam was sitting with Jerry who stood up.  “Kris, right?”
“Adam”, Kris was relieved to see him.
“Baby”, Adam stood up and hugged him, handing him the envelope.  “What should I do?”
“Well, you should open it.”
“I can’t.  What if it’s bad news?  What if I’m being sued, or another relative popped up and I have to leave you?  What if?”  He was shaking again.
“Adam.  You need to open it”, he said calmly, taking Adam’s hand.
Jerry excused himself, to let Adam and Kris alone for a minute to read what was inside.  He was curious, though.
“Take a deep breath, baby.”  Kris sat next to Adam and took the letter from him.  “Do you want me to read it to you?”
He shook his head, “Let’s read it together.”
Kris smiled, and scooted his chair closer to Adam, opening the envelope and taking out an official looking letter written on letterhead from a law firm in Los Angeles.
‘Dear Mr. Lambert,
I am the executor of Ms. Leila Lambert’s estate.’
Adam looked at Kris.  “Estate?  My Aunt came with me for the reading of my mom’s will.  There was nothing really, except me, of course.”
He went back to reading.
‘I was hired to take care of more delicate business matters that were not part of her original will.  Upon receiving this letter, I request that you call my office and set up an appointment for the reading of this will.’
The rest was some legal jargon, followed by the attorney’s name, telephone number and address.  Adam took another deep breath.  “Huh.”
“Maybe she left you money?”  Kris wondered.
“My mom didn’t have any money.  I wonder what he meant by delicate business matters?”
Jerry came back over with two sodas for the boys.  “Everything alright?”
“Yeah Jerry, thanks.  Apparently, my mom had another will and I’m supposed to see this lawyer to find out what’s in it?”
“See?  It’s not bad.”
“Unless she left me with a bunch of debt”, he laughed, weakly.
“I’m sure it will be fine, Adam.”
“Thanks for talking to me today, Jerry. “
“It was really good seeing you, Adam.  We always hoped you were doing well.  Oh, and go upstairs to see Joan.”
“Well, I want to meet my family now, and tell them about this, first”, he held up the letter.  “If you see her, please tell her that I’ll come by in a day or so.”
“Ok.  I will, Adam.  Good luck to you.  Kris, nice meeting you”, he reached for Kris’s hand to shake.
“Thanks, you too.  Come one, Adam.  The family is waiting for us right across the street.”
As the boys left the bar, Jerry walked over to Terrance, who was back behind the bar.  They both just looked guiltily at each other, Terrance shrugging his shoulders as if to say, ‘What could we really have done.’
Jerry shook his head, “We could have done something.”
Meanwhile, Pam noticed Adam and Kris coming outside.  She stood up and waved at them, till they noticed her.  “There they are”, Kris pulled Adam along.  “It’s going to be fine.  Dad will call the lawyer and get this all straightened out.  You’re not alone.”
Adam got a tear in his eye, “I know.  Thank you.”
They met the rest of the Martins who all stood up to give Adam a hug.  “How did it go, sweetie?”
“It was totally fine, until Jerry handed me this letter.  I kind of panicked and called Kris.”
“Letter?  Let me see”, Ron took the letter from Adam and read it. “Well, let’s call him right now.”  Ron pulled out his phone and dialed the number on the letter.
“Yes, hello.  I’m calling for Adam Lambert.”
“Yes, I’m his legal guardian.”
“We’re here in town for a few days on vacation.  Is there anyway that we could come in tomorrow?”
“Thank you.  We’ll see you at ten.”
He hung up the phone.  “We have an appointment in the morning.  The office is in downtown Los Angeles, so I suggest that we drive.”
Adam took another deep breath.  He was so happy that he didn’t have to do this alone.
“Adam, everything will be alright.  We just have to hear what he has to say.  I’d really like to know what ‘delicate business matters’ means, though.”  Ron tucked the letter into his pocket.
“Yeah, I was wondering about that too.”
“Well, let’s stop worrying for today and have some fun.  Why don’t we go to the Beach this afternoon?”  Pam suggested.  It was still early enough.
Everyone thought that was a fabulous idea.  They walked back to the hotel.  It was lovely out and Adam could definitely use the fresh air after that.  “I need to go back”, he announced.
“Right now?”  Pam asked
“No, in the next couple of days.  They suggested that I talk to Joan, mom’s neighbor. “
“Were they close?”
“She took care of me when my mom worked.”
“I think that’s a very good idea, Adam.”
They got back to the hotel and everyone changed into their bathing suits with clothes over them, and put towels and sunscreen into beach bags and headed for the car.  It was only about a twenty five minute drive to Santa Monica Pier.
There was an amusement park and shopping and restaurants on the pier.  They found parking and then headed down to the beach.
“This reminds me a little of the lake beach”, Chelsey commented.
“Nah”, Brent, lowered his sunglasses to get a better look at the bikinis.  “Not at all.”
“You’re such a perv”, Chelsey smacked him.
Adam and Kris just laughed.  “This is way better”, they said as they found a spot for their towels. “Except for Melanie”, Adam added.
“Yeah”, everyone loved Melanie, she was such a cutie.
Adam and Kris ran down to the water to swim in the ocean for the very first time in their lives.  They just dipped their toes in at first.  “The water feels good.”  The rest of the Martins joined them as the walked further in.
“This is so cool”, Chelsey squealed, “Pacific Ocean.”
They ventured into the water, going just to their waists.  They watched the body surfers riding the waves to the shoreline.  “We’ll have to get a boogie board tomorrow so we can do that”, Kris pointed out.
Brent added, “I want to surf for real.”
“You’d kill your self, bro”, Chelsey chuckled.
“No I wouldn’t.”  He huffed.  “Can we get up early tomorrow and watch the surfers?”  He asked the group.
“Maybe; we have to be at the lawyer’s office at ten”, Pam reminded him.
“Brent doesn’t really have to go with us tomorrow”, Adam spoke up.
“We all want to support you Adam.”
“I know that, but really, all of us don’t need to be there.  It might actually be overwhelming.”  He tried to reassure them.
After swimming a while longer, they dressed and went to the Pier to walk around the shops and see the amusement park.  Adam wanted to ride the huge Ferris wheel.  “We can make out up at the very top, baby”, he whispered in Kris’s ear, who blushed.
For dinner, Kris wanted seafood, of course.  They found Bubba Gump Shrimp Company where they could sit down.  Everyone started with the Shrimp and Crab bisque and then they ordered a couple of orders each of Shrimp Cocktail, Shrimper’s Net Catch and Bubba’s Far Out dip with Tortilla chips for everyone to share.  It was delicious.
While they ate, they made their plans for the following day.  Ron and Kris would take Adam to the attorney’s office.   The family would drive early in the morning to Venice Beach and watch the surfing and then have breakfast, leaving Pam with Brent and Chelsey while the boys drove to LA with Ron.
After dinner they went into Carousel Gift Shop and Oatman’s Rock Shop for souvenirs.  Ron and Brent wanted to visit the Santa Monica Pier Bait and Tackle Company.  They had plans to go fishing a couple of days during their stay.  Marlene’s Beachcomber had the boogie boards, so they got two.  Then they went into Pacific Park amusement park.  They purchased some tickets for the rides and immediately went over to Pacific wheel, a solar powered Ferris wheel which was completely lit up at night.  Adam and Kris held hands while standing in line.  They were getting very comfortable being affectionate in public.  No one in California gave them a notice, except the girls whose expressions turned to disappointment after realizing the two gorgeous boys were a couple.
They handed the man their tickets and grabbed a seat.  The four Martin’s climbed in one car and let Adam and Kris sit alone in the car right behind them.  They snuggled into the seat together, while the attendant locked them in.  “Ready baby?”   They did try the making out thing, but not way at the top.  They felt the need to hang on with both hands up that high, laughing at themselves for being such chickens.
After going on a few more rides, they decided to head back to Hollywood and get a good night sleep.  They were getting up way too early in the morning.
When they got back ‘home’ Adam and Kris said goodnight to everyone and went right to their room.   “Thank you so much for today, Kris.”  Adam said quietly.
“For what?”
“For being there for me, when I freaked out.”
“I thought someone there had done something to you.  I was ready to start breaking bones.”
“Really?”  Adam giggled.  “Nah, they were really nice; Jerry and Terrance.  And the girls.”
“They seemed glad that you were alright.”
“I think they felt a little guilty.”
“What do you mean?”
“They both knew what my mom did.”
“That she was a prostitute.”  Kris guessed.
“That she made me one.”  He said, looking down at his hands.
“They knew?”
Adam shrugged his shoulders, “Yeah.  Not at first, but yeah, they knew.”
“And they didn’t do anything?”
“I was mad at first, but look at the kind of place they run.  What could they have done?  And it wasn’t like my mom paraded me around them or anything.  She took me to the streets for all of that and kept it completely away from the bar.”
“Yeah, but still”, Kris was angry.
Adam kissed Kris, “Anyway, I did it.  I saw them.  It felt good.  I’ve come so far, and they were happy for me.”
“That’s good, baby.”
“But, I didn’t get a whole lot of answers.  They suggested I talk to my mom’s old neighbor Joan, who used to watch me.”
“I heard you mention that today at the bar.”
“She was so nice to me.  I’d like to see her.”
“Do you want me to come with you?”
“Yeah, I’d like that, Kris.”
They crawled into the huge bed together and intertwined their naked bodies.
“Kris?”
“Hmm?”
“I need you…”
Brother Love - Chapter 66
Kris woke up the next morning first and just watched Adam sleep.  He was so worried about him going by himself to the bar today.  What if he freaked out there?  What if someone tried to hurt him?  What if… was going though his mind when Adam began to stir.
“Kris", he breathed, reaching for his boyfriend.
"I'm right here, Adam."
"I'm sorry about last night."  He gave a weak smile.
"You have nothing to be sorry about.  You had a bad dream."
"No, I mean not wanting you to touch me."
"Adam, it's ok."
"No it’s not.  I felt really dirty after that dream and I just couldn't..."
"Do you want to tell me your dream?"
"No baby, I don't.  But it was all my worst fears."
“We can do something else today.  What about the aquarium?”
Adam smiled, “Its ok baby.  I’m ready.  I think.  I just want to get this over with, so we can enjoy the rest of our vacation.”
They stayed in bed for a while, talking and kissing.  “Let me help you relax.”
Kris wiggled his way down Adam’s body, kissing each part of his skin along the way till he reached his destination.  He lovingly took Adam’s cock into his mouth, licking and sucking.  Adam tried to relax and just enjoy the amazing blowjob his boyfriend was giving him, but he needed something else.
“Baby?”
“You want me stop?”
“No, it’s just…I want to be in control.”
Kris sat up, giving him warm, trusting eyes, “Ok, Adam; whatever you need.”
Adam pushed Kris down on the bed and took over.  He needed to feel dominant and strong right now.  “I love you, Kris.”
“I know you do”, Kris replied as he fully submitted to Adam.
“I need you”, Adam kissed him roughly, probing his tongue inside of Kris’s mouth, tasting every inch of him.  Soon, Kris was panting with need, arching his hips up to meet Adam.
“Mine, Kris.”
Adam prepped him with his fingers and a lot of lube, aiming for his prostate.  Adam smiled, knowing he was driving Kris mad with want.
“Ready for me baby?”
Kris nodded fiercely, while Adam slowly slid into Kris.  He was fully inside and stopped, looking at the boy he loved so much.
Then he began moving in and out, thrusting his cock into that tight, beautiful ass.  He was fucking Kris hard and Kris was taking it, all of it.
“Please”, Kris managed to squeak out.
“So good for me, baby”, Adam reached for Kris’s cock, already slick from the lube and his own pre-cum.  Adam gave his cock a few good twists and pulls and just as Kris cried out in pleasure, Adam came inside of him.  Adam lay on top of Kris, kissing him as they came down.  “Thank you so much, baby.”
“My pleasure”, Kris smirked.  “I like you all toppy like that, you know.”
“Kinky boy.”
Afterwards, the boys got a shower and then made their way into the suite.  Everyone had just finished breakfast.
“Sleep in boys?”  Chelsey asked suspiciously.
“Um, I didn’t sleep very well last night”, Adam answered her.
“Are you worried about today?”  Pam asked, concerned.
“Yeah, just a little”, he laughed, weakly.
“Well have some breakfast”, Pam set a plate in front of Adam as he sat down.
“So why don’t we take a cab into West Hollywood this morning and do a little shopping.”
“That’s sounds great, mom”, Adam perked up a little.
“Great, then we’ll go swimming, have lunch and then we’ll walk with you to the bar, Adam.”
“Ok, thanks, mom.  But don’t come in, ok?”
“No, we’ll stay close, though.  Just in case…”
Adam felt the butterflies trying to burst though his stomach.  He barely touched his food.  “I can’t eat.  Can we just go shopping?”
“Yeah, come on.”  Pam rubbed Adam’s shoulder’s hoping to relax him.  She’d spoken to Amanda before they left on their trip.  She gave her good advice.  ‘Adam needs to do this.  Support him, but don’t coddle him.’
Brent and Ron opted out of shopping, so Pam, Chelsey, Adam and Kris hopped into a cab and drove to Melrose Ave to where some of the best stores in West Hollywood were located.
They went into several trendy stores; ‘John Varvatos’ men’s clothing store, ‘Maxfields’, offering upscale edgy fashions and ‘Sielian's Vintage Apparel’ boutique.  After exhausting the shopping on Melrose, headed east and hit a few stores on Santa Monica Boulevard and then ended up at the Sunset Plaza where they ate dinner the first night.  The plaza was full of little boutiques and outdoor café’s.  They decided to stop for coffee and watch the people for a bit before heading back to the hotel.
Adam and Kris both wanted to stop at the Hard Rock Café rock shop.  They each picked up a t-shirt and hoodie.  Adam wanted to look at the collectible pins.  Kris found a really cool blue fender guitar pin with the Hard Rock logo that he wanted and Adam picked out a white biker skull pin with blue and red flames and the Hard Rock logo.
They picked up a cab outside the restaurant and headed back for the hotel.  Ron and Brent were already in their bathing suits, so the rest quickly got ready and they headed down to the pool to relax for a bit before lunch.
Adam felt much better.  Shopping therapy always did the trick.  He swam a few laps, racing Kris, who probably would have won, but he liked being caught by Adam.  After swimming, they lay in a lounge chair, Kris leaning into Adam, his arms wrapped around the smaller boy.  This was Hollywood, and no one even gave them a notice.
They went back into the pool for one last swim before heading back to their room to change then meeting everyone in the suite for lunch.  They took a quick shower, and then Adam put on his new Hard Rock Café t-shirt and a pair of nice black jeans.  He looked at himself in the mirror, and decided on light makeup.
“You look gorgeous, Adam”, Kris said, lovingly.
Mom had put out lunch meat and bread for everyone to make a sandwich and Chelsey made some soup from a can.  Adam felt the butterflies returning as he sat down to eat.
“Why am I so nervous?  I don’t even know what to expect.”
Pam gave him a look, “Well sweetie, that’s probably why you’re so nervous.  Do you know what you’re going to say?”
“Not really.”
“Well, let’s talk about that.  Maybe if you are a little prepared as to what you want to know and what questions you are going to ask, you won’t be as nervous.”
“God, you’re smart, mom.”
Everyone gave Adam the best advice they could and he felt like he had a plan.  Adam helped Pam clean up the kitchen and soon they were hopping into a cab to Hollywood boulevard.
The bar was in the central part of Hollywood; a little seedier than the trendy West Hollywood.  It was only a couple of blocks from the Pantages Theater, where Wicked was playing.  So, the Martins took the cab to a half block away from the bar, kissed Adam good luck and then made their way over to the theatre to pick up their tickets for the show that they were seeing in a couple of days.  Again, Ron’s boss had hooked them up and their tickets were in will-call at the box office.
Adam watched his family walk away, feeling scared but confident as he walked to the bar.
He walked up to the door with its neon sign only half lit and partially falling down.  He took a deep breath and walked inside.
The bartender saw the young man walk in and only seeing that he was underage, yelled to him, “Hey!  You need to be twenty one, son.”
Adam, startled at first, found his voice.  “Hey Terrance.”  The bartender looked up again.  Adam walked towards him and took a seat at the bar.  “Do you remember me?”
Terrance looked him up and down, “I don’t believe it, Adam?”
“Yeah, it’s me”, he said sheepishly.
“Well come over here”, he squealed, walking around the bar to meet Adam half way.  He wrapped him up in a hug, then stood back and looked at him. “You grew up.”
“I’m eighteen.”
“You look great, Adam.  It’s good to see you.  Where have you been?”
Just then, the manager came out from the kitchen, hearing voices at the bar.
“Jerry”, Terrance called out.  “Look who’s here?”
Jerry walked over and looked Adam up and down.  “Adam?”
“Hi Jerry.”
“Adam!  It’s good to see you.”
Adam really hadn’t expected such a warm welcome.  All of his fears melted away.
“Have a seat and tell us what happened to you?”
Adam told them about jail and his Aunt, moving to Arkansas and then her dying.  He told them about the group home and that it hadn’t worked out, but not why.  And then he talked about the Martin’s and Kris and the last three years of his life; high school, singing and drama and then his theatre scholarship to Central Arkansas.  As he was telling them, he realized that he had come so far and coming back here wasn’t threatening at all, because no one could take that away from him.
While they were talking, some of the girls were just coming to work.  A lot of them were new and paid them no attention, but a couple of the older girls recognized Adam immediately.
They each gave him a hug.  “Honey, you turned into one hot man, you know that?”
“Thanks”, he said laughing.
One of the new girls saw them all talking and came over as well.  “Who’s this?” She asked looking Adam up and down.  “He’s cute.  You single, honey?”
“You don’t play for the same team, Veronica.”  One of the other girls explained.
“Too bad, honey”, she said walking away.
“Don’t mind her, Adam.”
Adam continued talking with everyone that knew him at the bar.  It seemed so natural that he almost forgot why he’d come in the first place until Jerry brought it up.  “Adam, you know we’re so glad to see you, but why are you here?”
“I’m on vacation with my family.”
“So you decided to come and hang out with a bunch of losers in a bar.”  He sneered.
“Losers?  You guys were like my family”, he said sadly, reminding him of his mom.  “Actually, I have a lot of questions.”
“About your mom?”
“Yeah.”
The girls eventually wandered back stage to get ready for their show, leaving Adam with Jerry and Terrance.  “Let’s take a booth”, Jerry said, leading Adam over to a table in the back.
“What do you want to know?”
“Well, everything.  I know she was a drug addict and prostituted for drug money. “
“Yeah, and she worked here too.”
“And left me here a lot.”
“I’m sorry, Adam.  I know you didn’t have a very good childhood.”
“It’s not your fault.  I just sort of want to understand.”
“I think the one you should really talk to is Joan.  She knew her the best.”
“Joan?  The neighbor who used to watch me.  She was a nice lady.”
“Well, she still lives here and everyone once in a while, she comes down here to ask about you.”
“She does?”
“I think she really cared about you.”
“That’s nice to know.”  Adam remembered her affectionately.  “Do you think I could go and see her?”
“Up to you, but yeah, I think she’d really like to see you, too.”
They talked for a while longer about trivial things, but Adam had one more question for them.  “Did you know that my mom made me… um… make money for her?”
Both Jerry and Terrance shot each other a look of guilt.  “Yeah, but not at first.  In fact we threatened to turn her in, but…”
“But what?”
“She was more careful after we found out.”
“We weren’t responsible for you, Adam.”  Terrance said.  “We’re sorry.”
Adam wasn’t sure what to say to them.  They weren’t responsible for him.  And, they made him feel like part of their family when he was with then.  It wasn’t their fault…but he was just a kid and it wasn’t right.
“Wait a minute”, Jerry stood up.  “I just remembered; I have something for you.”
He walked in the back to his office and brought back an official looking envelope with his name on it.
“What’s that?”  Adam asked, as Jerry handed it to him.
“This came for you a couple of years ago, hand delivered.  It looks like it’s from a lawyer.  I was told to keep it in case you ever came back.  You really did just drop out of sight.”
“Yeah, my Aunt got me out of here pretty quick, I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye.”
“It’s ok, Adam.
“Anyway, you should open it.”
Adam looked at the sealed envelope in his hand and panicked.
Brother Love - Chapter 65
Everyone was just beginning to eat their breakfast when Adam and Kris came into the suite.  Pam put two plates in front of them and they sat down to join their family at the table.
Pam had made sausage and eggs with English muffins.  They wanted everyone to have a good breakfast so they wouldn’t be hungry for a while.  They were driving to Disneyland today.  It was about 45 minutes to an hour away and they wanted to get an early start.  They had already purchased their tickets online before their trip so they wouldn’t have to wait in line to get into the park.
Ron pulled the van around and the family hopped in and drove down Sunset Boulevard to US 101 and then I-5 into Anaheim.
After about twenty five minutes into the trip, Chelsey started with a round of M-I-C  see ya real soon…  K-E-Y… Why?
Brent and Kris were laughing so hard, but then Adam chimed in.  “Because we Love you!”
And then together with Pam and Ron, “M-O-U-S-E”…
Brent and Kris admitted defeat and the entire family finished the original Mickey Mouse Club song together adding the ‘Donald Duck’ at the appropriate time.
“God, we’re just like that dork family in National Lampoon’s Vacation”, Brent chuckled.
“Nah, we’re much cooler.”
Brent looked around the car at his family, “Not so much, we even have the family thruckster”.  They all laughed and went into another Disney song which took them right into the parking lot of the resort.
Ron parked the car and they took the shuttle bus to the entrance of the park.  It was larger than life.  They walked down Main Street, USA and saw a couple of Disney characters stopping to talk to children and have their picture taken.  Kris saw Pluto and ran over to him with Brent and Adam bent over, laughing so hard at him.  “What?  I want my picture taken with Pluto.”  Pluto waved and opened his arms for Kris to get next to him.  “Adam, come on!”
“Kris.”
“I want you in the picture too”.
Brent pushed him towards Kris and Pluto who had his other arm open and moving his head to invited Adam in the picture.
Pam and Chelsey started snapping pictures all the while laughing at their boys.
Continuing, they saw a horse drawn street car and they continued down Main Street gazing at all of the buildings and shops and at the end, they came to Sleeping Beauty’s castle.  “Isn’t it beautiful?”  Pam wondered out loud.  “Simply breathtaking.”
Then the family turned into Tomorrowland.  They passed on the Astro Orbiter which looked too much like a kiddie ride, but they had a blast in ‘Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters’, shooting at the evil robots and Star wars ‘The Adventure Continues’ ride.  They briefly visited the Starcade and then went into ‘Captain EO’s’, which was an interactive tribute to Michael Jackson and his music.
As they were leaving EO’s, Adam asked, “So Kris, you ready for Space Mountain?”
“I’ve been on roller coaster before, Adam.”  Kris rolled his eyes.
“Not like this one!  It’s all inside.”
Kris tried to picture it for a moment, “Yeah, let’s do it!”
The Martin’s got a car all to themselves with Adam and Kris in the front, Chelsey and Brent in the middle and Pam and Ron in the rear.   The attendant made sure everyone was secure in their seats and then the ride began.  The ride was fast and the music was freaky.  They screamed and put their hands up as they went whirling through space.
“Man, that was so cool”, Kris said as they were let out of their seats.  “We’ve got to go back and do that one again.”
“Later”, Pam said.  “We have lots to see.  And, we can always come back one more day if we need to.”
“Ok, that was the best so far”, everyone agreed.  From there they walked through innovations and rode the ‘Autopia’ cars.
They decided to ride the monorail later, when they needed a rest and went straight to ‘Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage’.
“I always loved this movie”, Pam commented.
“Yeah me too mom, when I was five”, Kris snorted.
Adam gave Kris a look.  He’d never seen the movie.  When he was five he was hanging out in a bar with strippers, or Joan.  But she didn’t have any kid movies.
They had all decide to have lunch at Café Orleans which was located on the other side of the park, so after they finished with Fantasyland, they’d get on the Disney Railroad that would take them over to New Orleans Square.
Fantasyland is where all of the princesses hung out.  They met Cinderella and Belle and The Little Mermaid.  This time Chelsey wanted her picture taken too, with her brothers.  They rode ‘Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride’, the ‘Mad Teacups’ and the ‘Matterhorn Bobsleds’ and only stopped to look at ‘King Arthur’s Carrousel’.  Pam and Chelsey really wanted to ride ‘It’s a Small World’, so they climbed into the boat seats, Adam and Kris in the back so they could cuddle through the ride.
Next they walked over to ‘Mickey’s Toon Town’.   It was the closest place to catch the Disney Train without having to walk back over to Tomorrowland.  This park of Disneyland was definitely geared towards the youngest visitors, so the Martin’s just glanced around as they walked to where they’d catch the train.
They rode around the edge of Disneyworld to New Orleans Square.  Everyone was hungry by then, so they went directly to the Café Orleans restaurant.  They opted for the outdoor seating so they could view the boats on the ‘Rivers of America’ while they ate their French Onion Soup and La Salade de Maison.  They decided to save their appetites for a really nice meal later in the evening.
They talked about what they had seen so far, and what they wanted to do next.  Everyone was looking forward to the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean attractions the most, which were right in Orleans Square.
Kris jumped about ten feet when he saw the ghost in the seat behind him though the mirror.  Adam giggled.  “Baby, there’s no one behind us.”
After the Haunted Mansion, they got on the boat for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and relaxed as they began their animated tour along the water.
The family decided as their floating “bateau” passed the Blue Bayou restaurant that they wanted to come back there for dinner later in the evening.
They spent the next few hours in the rest of the lands.  They did Indiana Jones Adventure and the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland.  Then they ventured over to Frontier Land for the Big Thunder Mountain railroad and the Jungle Cruise and shot targets at the ‘Shootin Exposition’.  Pam and Chelsey wanted to ride the Mark Twain Riverboat which was an authentic paddlewheel steamboat.
Afterwards, they headed over to Critter Country for the water ride, Splash Mountain.  They still hadn’t ridden the Monorail which was on the other side of the park, so they walked back over to the closest station on the Disneyland Railroad, stopping at a few of the attractions along they way they had missed earlier in the day.
They rode the train over to Tomorrowland and got on the Monorail which took them gave them a spectacular aerial view of the entire Disneyland Park, Downtown Disney and The California Adventure Park.  They didn’t have time to go to either of the other places today, but had plans to spend an evening in Downtown Disney later in the week.
Everyone was getting hungry again, so they took the train back over to New Orleans Square and ate dinner at the Blue Bayou.  It was located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, seating you ‘outside’ where you have a view of the boats as they begin their adventure.
The food was spectacular and the ambiance was incredible.  This was by far their favorite restaurant so far.  It was rather expensive though, so Ron told them to enjoy it.
Adam ordered the Isla-Cruces Crab Cakes, while Pam and Chelsey chose the Tesoro Island Chicken.  Brent decided on the Buccaneer's Boneless Beef Short Ribs and Ron couldn’t resist the Roasted Beef Strip Loin.  Kris struggled with really wanting the surf and turf.  He’d have been happy just with the surf.  When the waiter came over, Adam urged him to ask if he could just have the lobster.  The waited smiled and nodded, “Of course”, he winked at him.  “We aim to please”.
Adam and Chelsey giggled.  “Wow Kris, the boys really can’t resist you, can they?”
Kris blushed, “No, I’m pretty sure he was looking at Adam”, he said staring at his fork.
Adam shook his head and then mouthed to Chelsey, "My boyfriend is so hot".
She just rolled her eyes at her two brothers, smiling.
They all sipped on their Glowing Character punch, while waiting on their salads and Gumbo.
“So, how tired is everyone?” Pam asked, yawning.
“We’re staying for the parade and fireworks, right?”  Kris asked.
“Of course we are.  We don’t have any plans for tomorrow, except…”  She stopped herself.  She didn’t want Adam worrying about tomorrow.
“It’s ok, mom. “
“Adam, we can go with you if you want.”  She gave him a small smile.
“No, I have to do this alone.  I’m not even sure what I’m going there for, but I guess I'll figure it out.”
“I know you will, son”, Ron gave Adam a nod.
Soon their meal arrived and they all changed the conversation to more pleasant things like what they still wanted to see while they were in Disneyland.  Kris wanted to do Space Mountain one last time.
For dessert, they had a choice of Crème Brulee, Chocolate Cake or Pecan Pie.
“This has been the best day, hasn’t it?”
Everyone agreed, as Ron paid the check and they left the restaurant.  They were able to do a few more things, including Space Mountain again before it was time to head over to Main Street, USA for the parade, and then the fireworks.  Both were spectacular, and pretty soon, it was time to get back to the van and then home.  Both Adam and Kris fell asleep on the way to the hotel.   Pam and Chelsey had to nudge them awake as they pulled into the parking lot at the Saharan.
They walked to their room and literally fell into bed.  “I had such a great time today”, Kris said sleepily.
“Me too, baby”.
“Was that your first time there, Adam?”
“Yeah”, not like his mom would have ever taken him to Disneyland.
“Oh, well you seemed to know a lot about it.”
“I knew about it, I’d just never been there.”
They both undressed and brushed their teeth and settled into bed together, lazily kissing until they fell asleep wrapped in each other’s arms.
~~~~

Adam awoke sometime during the night, shaken by a bad dream.  He sat up panicking, wondering where he was for a moment until he saw Kris lying next to him.  He pulled his knees up to his chest and put his head in his lap, trying to shake the images of his dream out of his head.

He dreamed he was at the bar.  In the back room with a man who was raping him; telling him that he was meant to be a whore and he’d never be anything else.  The image changed to the bartender who welcomed him back and gave him the keys to his old apartment.  Then the girls one by one welcomed him home and said they always knew he’d be back one day.

Then he saw the men, half naked panting for him rubbing their cocks, waiting in the background for their turn with him.  “You were always the best whore”, he heard Curtis's dad sneering, palming himself.  "I knew you'd be back, Adam."

Then the image changed to Kris fading in the distance, waving goodbye to him.

He sat there sobbing, until Kris stirred.  “Adam, what’s the matter?”  He asked sleepily, not realizing how upset he was at first.

"I'm not a whore", he was repeating to himself.  "I'm not a whore."

"Adam, of course you're not, baby."

"They don't think I'll ever be anything else.  Maybe I won't be."

"Adam, look at me", Kris lifted Adam's head and stared into his eyes.  "I love you.  You are not and never will be a whore."

Adam just shook his head.  “I can’t do this.”  He said through his sobs.

Kris took Adam into his arms and held him.  “You don’t have to, baby.”  He carded his hands though Adam’s hair, caressing his face.  “But, I think you need to.”

Adam nodded.  Kris was right.  It was just a dream, not real.  He needed to face his past to truly get over it.  He had nothing to be afraid of.  His family was here, and they were not going to leave him.

Adam finally calmed down and then he let Kris lay him back down on the bed.  Kris lay over Adam, kissing him gently.  When he moved his hands down Adam's chest past his stomach, just grazing his groin, Adam tensed.  "Please no."

"Ok".  Kris pulled away.

"I'm sorry, baby.  Just hold me tonight?"

Kris snuggled in closer, enveloping Adam's larger body with his own letting Adam rest his head on his chest.

"I love you, Adam.  It's going to fine."

Kris stayed awake until Adam's breathing evened out and he knew he was asleep.  He kissed Adam's cheek and closed his eyes and was soon sleeping as well.

Brother Love - Chapter 64

After a couple of hours of swimming and lounging by the pool, the family went back to their rooms to get dressed for dinner.  Pam and Ron decided that they could eat out again this evening, since this was their first full day in Hollywood.

Thanks to Ron’s boss back home, they had scored tickets to several shows throughout their stay in California.  He’d also given the family miles for their airline tickets.  He was extremely generous to Ron.  They had tickets that evening for Cirque du Soleil IRIS at the Kodak Theatre in West Hollywood.

Brent suggested that they eat at the Hard Rock Café before the show for dinner.  They had one in Little Rock, but he wanted to see how the one in Hollywood was decorated, with all of the celebrity’s that had visited.  Everyone nodded in agreement.

They walked to the restaurant since it was still nice and warm outside but depending on what time the show let out, they would probably cab it back to the hotel.

They approached the restaurant which was brightly lit with large neon signs and walked into the modernly decorated Hard Rock Café with its huge bar and stage for live performances.  They looked at the wall of memorabilia as they were led to their table by the cute little hostess who seemed to have eyes for Kris.  Adam giggled as he took Kris’s hand and kissed his cheek.  “Baby, I think she’s crushing on you”, he whispered.  The gesture didn’t go unnoticed by the smitten girl, whose face fell just a little bit, and then she just shook her head, knowingly.

“This way please” and she showed the Martin’s to their table.  They sat down and the hostess gave them menus and told them that the server would be with them shortly.

“Everything looks really good”, Brent said.

“This was a great idea, Brent.  I love this place”, Adam said as he looked around.  “Can we go into the Rock shop when we’re done?”

“Sure, sweetie”, Pam said.  “I think we’ll have plenty of time before the show.”

Adam and Kris decided on the fajitas while Ron, Brent and Chelsey went with one of their famous burgers and Pam got Honey-Citrus Grilled Chicken Salad.  While they waited for their meal to arrive they talked about tomorrow.  “We’re getting up early and having breakfast in the suite.  Adam, we’ll get you a wakeup call, but set the alarm as well”, Pam reminded.  Tomorrow they were going to Disneyland.

“I can’t wait”, Kris squealed.

“You want to meet Mickey Mouse”, Chelsey teased.

“Yeah, I do”, Adam offered.

“I want to ride the Matterhorn”, Kris gave her a look.

“I want to see Cinderella’s castle”, Pam spoke up.

“I want to eat”, both Brent and Ron said at the same time, everyone laughing at their predictability.

“Well, we’ll have time to do all of that.  We’re spending the entire day there.”  Pam assured everyone.

Their meal arrived, and everyone was quiet while they dug into their dishes.  Afterwards, they ordered dessert and while they were waiting, Adam and Kris went into the Rock shop.  There were t-shirts and all kinds of clothing and these really cool collectible pins.  The boys went back to their table bouncing.

“Anything good in there?”  Brent asked.

“We are definitely coming back here to shop”, Adam announced.

Their desserts arrived just then.  They’d ordered a variety of bites, which were just little bite sized desserts that they could share.

On their way out of the restaurant they stopped to look at all of the celebrity memorabilia that was displayed.

They saw Eddy Van Halen’s guitar and some other’s like Billy Zoom and Izzy Stadlin from GnR and even a drum set from Metallica.   There were original lyrics by Jim Morrison from the doors written just before he died.   Suddenly, Adam stopped in front of a really cool jacket.  “T-Rex, I love them!"  And then he began singing the lyrics to Twentieth Century Boy.  He got a little carried away but then stopped after he noticed other patrons beginning to stare.  Embarrassed, he ushered the family along.  As they were leaving, the manager of the restaurant stared at Adam like he wanted to say something to him, but instead they just walked past him and left the restaurant.

“Adam, I could see you playing in there someday”, Kris said to him as they walked down Hollywood Boulevard towards the Kodak Theatre.

“Me, nah”, Adam shrugged.

“He’s right, Adam”, Chelsey began.  “Did you see everyone looking at you, and the manager?”

“Yeah, they were wondering who that idiot was”, he giggled.

Kris knew that wasn’t it, but he kept quiet.  He sometimes worried, well more than sometimes, that Adam would become famous one day and leave him.

They finally reached the theatre and stood in front of it.  The huge structure was beautiful and as they walked inside the glamorous lobby, they were all in awe.  Many events are home to the Kodak, like the academy awards.  There were glass plaques lining the grand entrance of every ‘best picture’ winner since the awards show began.

The family was taking a tour of the theatre later in the week, so they decided to just go inside and find their seats and wait for the show to begin.

~~~~
The show was not your typical circus.  Adam and Kris didn’t really know what to expect.  There were amazing acrobatics and dancing but it was blended with a story taking you through the history of the cinema, with incredibly costumes and music.
The show was over two hours long with a brief intermission where the boys, including Brent went out into the lobby to get food.  The lines were long, so they settled for the soft pretzel booth.  It was just good to stretch their legs.
“So what’s your favorite part so far, Adam?”  Kris asked him.
“Hmm, imagining you up there in tights, baby”.
“You guys are so weird”, Brent snorted.
“You know you love us”, Adam cracked.
“Yeah, but I don’t want to see either of you in tights.”
They laughed until they reached their seats again, getting looks from the rest of the Martins.  “Have fun, boys?”  Pam asked the giggling trio.
“Yeah, well I now have an image in my mind that I didn’t really want”.
Pam looked from Adam to Kris, “I can only imagine”, she said as the lights went down to announce the show was about to continue.
~~~~

When the performance was over, everyone filed out of the theatre into the lobby where they the gift shop was set up.  They walked through it quickly.  Adam and Kris were more interested in the stuff at the Hard Rock.

“How did you like the show?”  Pam asked everyone.

“It was really interesting how they took us through the history of movie making.  I loved the stunts and acrobats the best.”  Chelsey answered.

“It was really good, I liked the dancers”, Kris offered.

“Well, we have some other types of shows to see while we’re here.  We have tickets to Wicked the day after tomorrow.”

“Now that, I’m really looking forward to”, Adam would have loved do that play in high school.  He knew that he could rock Fierro.

They decided since it was only about a half a mile back to the hotel, and they could all use some fresh air, they would walk back to the Saharan.  Hollywood boulevard was still lit up and crowded, so they felt safe.

When the reached the hotel, they decided to go for a night swim and quickly changed into their bathing suits again.  They were getting up early the next morning for Disneyland, so they didn’t stay long.

Adam and Kris dragged themselves to their room and fell on the bed.

“What a day”, Kris yawned.

“Too tired to play, baby?”  Adam smirked, that lustful look in his sparking eyes.

Kris giggled and pulled Adam on top of him.  “No way.”

“Good, I want make you feel so good, Kris.”  Adam rolled off of Kris, and peeled off his bathing suit, kissing the exposed skin.

Kris was lying flat on his back and Adam was kissing his flat abs.  “God Kris, you have such an amazing body”.

“So do you”, Kris was panting at the feeling of Adam’s lips so near but so far away  from his cock.

“No, Kris.  I mean it.  Your stomach is so flat”, he said as his fingers rubbed circles on Kris’s skin, making him crazy with want.  “Your chest is so well defined”, he said as he licked the buds.  Then, not ever losing contact with Kris, he slid down his body until his fingers were inside of his thighs, teasing him beyond comprehension.

“Adam.”

“Your legs and arms are so muscular, baby.”

“Please.”

“Mm”, Adam spread Kris’s legs apart and licked all around his thighs, his hands getting closer and closer to what Kris wanted, but not quickly enough for the writhing mess that was now Kris.

Adam took pity on him and pushed his knees up and spread his legs apart giving him access to the parts that Kris so wanted him to give his attention to.

Adam smirked, loving what he was doing to Kris, and then took his balls into his mouth, licking first, and then sucking on each one.  Then he moved down slightly and rubbed his thumb over Kris’s entrance.

Kris was beyond words, so he was just moving his body, trying to will Adam to do what he wanted.

Adam giggled and replaced his thumb with his tongue.  Licking across the entrance back and forth till Kris was pushing his ass against it and then he finally took pity and pushed inside of Kris slowly fucking him with his tongue.  He still had completely left Kris’s cock alone, which was hard and red and leaking.

With his tongue still up his ass, Adam somehow grabbed the lubed and with his fingers slick, gave Kris what he needed.

“Oh fuck, Adam.”  He didn’t want Kris to come yet, he released his hands and gave his shaft a lick from balls to tip and sat back.  Kris groaned at the loss of contact, but Adam just smiled at him and reached for the lube again, pouring some on his fingers as he stretched Kris’s hole.

“I’m ready, please.”  Kris squeaked.

“Ok baby, I’ve teased you enough.”  He mouthed, ‘I love you’, as he poured a generous amount of lube on his cock and pressed into Kris.

“Ahhh”, Kris breathed.  “Oh yeah, finally”, he said as Adam filled him up with his cock.

“Baby, you feel so good”, Adam let Kris get adjusted and then began moving inside of him, gently thrusting in and out.

“Please faster.”

“You are so good for me, Kris.” Adam began pounding into Kris, who was mumbling incoherencies, eyes completely blown.

Adam reached for Kris’s cock again and pumped him until they were both coming, trying not to scream from the pleasure.

Adam collapsed on top of Kris, still inside of him as they tried to get their breathing back to normal.  “Baby, you are so amazing.”

~~~~
The next morning came early as the alarm went off and then their wake up call.  They were still wrapped up in each other, not wanting to part.  Adam answered the phone, to hear the front desk clerk.  Then he hung up and kissed Kris long and hard.
“Adam, we’ll never get up if you keep doing that.”
“K, baby.  Let’s get a shower”, he jumped out of bed and turned on the water for him and Kris.  His phone vibrated on the bed stand, and Kris picked it up to see a text from Chelsey: ‘You up boys?’  Kris answered it for him. ‘Just getting a shower, Chels.’
Kris joined Adam in the shower as they washed each other thoroughly, kissing everywhere they cleaned.   When they couldn’t take it anymore, Adam begged Kris to fuck him.  He leaned against the wall as Kris opened him up and took him.  Afterwards, they washed away the evidence and turned off the water; Adam grabbing towels for both of them, drying Kris.  Wrapping him up in the towel, Adam pulled Kris into his arms and kissed him.  “I love you so much, baby.”
“I know; me too.”
“We better hurry and get to the suite before Chelsey comes for us”, Adam giggled.
They quickly dressed and finished getting ready and then headed over to the suite and the aroma of breakfast.  “Mm, smells so good”, Kris said as they walked inside the room.
“Oh good, just in time”, mom said as she put two plates down for them.
“You two ready for Disneyland?”
Brother Love - Chapter 63
After getting dinner recommendations from the tour desk in the hotel lobby, the Martin family walked outside into the warm California breeze.  Still daylight, they decided to take Sunset Boulevard towards La Petit Four where they were told had the best seating on the strip for people watching and a bountiful international menu and casual dress.
They had to walk twelve blocks or so before they came to the interesting part of Sunset Boulevard.  The strip was filled with clubs and restaurants and boutiques.  There were huge billboards that grabbed your attention with gaudy advertisements of everything you could imagine.
Kris wanted to stop at this guitar store which he’d heard about, but when they got there, they were all in awe.  In front of the store were plaques of Rock musician’s handprints, called The Rock Walk.  There were some really famous stars prints including Jimmy Hendrix and Elvis Presley.
Brent and Kris especially couldn’t be pulled away.  “Dad, look”, Brent exclaimed as he saw Motley Crew’s handprints.  “Wow, this is amazing.”
Even Pam and Ron were into it, “Chuck Berry… and oh look, Little Richard.”
Adam’s favorite handprints were Aerosmith and Kris’s was Jeff Beck.
After they looked at all of the celebrity prints, Kris begged to go inside for just a minute.  There was a Fender that he saw in the window and he wanted to take a closer look.
They finally dragged Kris out of the store and continued walking along the strip.  They passed the Laugh Factory, a famous comedy club and a couple of more blocks they came to a giant statue of Rocky and Bullwinkle.  “I remember that cartoon”, Chelsey shouted, pointing to the huge contraption that looked slightly out of place since the studio that produced the show was long gone.
After a few more blocks of restaurants and clubs, they finally made their way to the sidewalk café in Sunset Plaza, Le Petit Four.  There was plenty of patio seating, and the weather was pleasant, so the Martins were taken to an outside table with a great view of the strip.
The waiter brought them menus and took their beverage order.  They poured over the menu while waiting for their drinks.  Kris wanted seafood, like always.  “They have fish, sweetie”, mom said.
“Kris, look at the pasta menu”, Adam pointed to the section on Kris’s menu.
“Thanks, Adam”, Kris had made up his mind.  The ladies also settled on pasta as well.  Penne Alla Toscana for Chelsey and the Penne Smoked Salmon for Pam.  Brent and Ron wanted the Prime Sirloin Steak, and that left just Adam.
“Mm, I can’t decide”, he sighed.
“Adam, you order whatever you like, son”, Ron assured him.
“Thanks dad.”  After just a few more moments, “Ok, I think I’ll have the Salad Grilled Ahi Tuna”, he finally told the waiter.
As they waited for their meal to arrive, they watched the interesting people pass by and talked about the next day’s itinerary.  Adam was looking forward to a couple of days of sightseeing before doing what he had come here to do, but dreaded at the same time.
Adam sat quietly, taking in the sights, thinking about his life while Kris and the Martins talked about the tour of the stars homes and Disneyland.  He smiled to himself.  He was the luckiest guy in the world.
Soon, their meal arrived.  Kris’s mouth watered as his Farfalle Seafood was put down in front of him.  It was scallops, shrimp, mushroom and tomatoes in a garlic and cream sauce and was to die for.  Kris practically drooled as he tasted the first bite.
Adam laughed as the sauce dripped down Kris’s chin.  He so wanted to lick it off, but snorted to himself instead.  Kris shot him a look and saw the mischief in Adam’s eyes and rolled his own as he wiped his chin with a napkin.  “What?  You’re cute”, Adam shrugged, giggling.
“Mm, this vodka sauce is so good”, Pam commented about her Penne Salmon.  “How’s your steak, dear”, she asked Mr. Martin.
“Amazing”, both Ron and Brent answered.
They finished their dinner and then ordered dessert.  Pam and Chelsey ordered the Crème Brulee, Ron and Brent each got the Chocolate Pecan cake.  Adam and Kris shared a Banana Chocolate Mousse Cake since they were too full for their own dessert and they liked sharing.
After dinner, they walked back out to the strip and walked past the rest of the sites.  They each made a visual note of restaurants that they wanted to eat at.
They passed a shoe store, where the sidewalk was covered in celebrity footprints.  They had a blast looking at all of the names there as well.   “Wow, we’re really in Hollywood.”  They each thought, but Chelsey said out loud.
As they walked back to the hotel, Adam asked if they could go into Tower Records, a huge record store.  “Of course”, Pam and Ron agreed.
They finally made their way back to the hotel, exhausted from the day.  They all went into the suite and relaxed for a while, watching television and getting very sleepy.  Soon, Adam and Kris went to their room.
“Baby”, Adam said as they were walking down the hallway to their room.  “I can’t wait to sleep with you.”
“Adam”
“I mean it.  We get to sleep cuddled together the entire night.  No rushing, no alarms, just you and me, all night long.”
“Naked”, Kris added.
Adam put in the keycard and they entered their room.  “God this is such a great room”, they looked around for the second time.
“You want to get a shower, baby?” Adam asked Kris.
“No, I’m just really tired”, Kris answered, sitting on the bed, taking off his shoes… pants… shirt….
“Kris”, Adam breathed, taking Kris into his arms, feeling his bare chest as he nuzzled and kissed his neck, feeling his erection beneath his underwear that he began to peel away.
“Make love to me, Adam”, Kris laid back on the bed, coaxing Adam to take him.
“Mm, of course, baby.”
~~~~

It was probably the most sensual and unrushed they ever spent making love.  No where to go afterwards, just curled up together, basking in their love.

After a while, Kris turned and Adam spooned the back of him, holding him close.  “I love you, so much, Kris.”

“Lo..y..too..zzz”

~~~~
They awoke the next morning to a knock from room service.  Pam had ordered them breakfast and had put a note under their door to join them when they’d finished.
“Wow, they’re really spoiling us, you know?”  Adam said as he shoved eggs Benedict into his mouth.
“They just want you to have the trip of a lifetime, Adam.”
“Yeah, I know.  So what’s on the agenda for today?”
They finished breakfast and got dressed and then met the family in the suite.
“There you are, boys”, Pam said as they walked into the main room.  “So Chelsey and I got up early and went grocery shopping.”
“Oh great, mom.”
“We’ll still eat out probably once a day, but the rest we’ll eat here, is that alright?”
“Mom, it’s all incredible”, Adam gave her a hug.
“Great, so this is what we have planned for the morning…”
~~~~

The Martins walked to the front entrance of their hotel and waited for the bus to pick them up for their trolley tour of Hollywood and Movie Star’s Homes.  The entire tour would take between three and four hours, seeing anywhere from forty to fifty homes, as well as all of the major landmarks of Hollywood.

The bus picked them up a few minutes later.  It wasn’t very crowded yet, but after the rest of the hotel stops, the bus would take them to the Graumann’s Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard to pick up the rest of the passengers and begin their tour.

Their tour guide was a lively gentleman who knew the area extremely well.  He tried to make jokes that were kind of funny and he was very entertaining.  “Probably an out of work actor just trying to make a living”, Ron whispered to the group.

“Well, he’s doing a very good job”, Pam offered.

They drove first to the Hollywood sign and let everyone out to take pictures with the sign and gave a little history of the area.  Mr. Martin got one of the other passenger’s to take a picture of the entire family in front of the sign.  They decided to use that for their Christmas card next year.

Next they drove through Hollywood Hills where the tour of the stars began.  Chelsey squealed in delight as they drove past the homes of Leonardo DiCaprio and John Travolta and the huge mansion of Brittany Spears.  They also passed various movie locations that were pointed out to them like house that blew up in Lethal Weapon.

Then the tour continued into Beverly Hills where they saw the more elaborate homes.  Further down, they passed the mansion that was used to film the television show, Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Chelsey wished out loud that they would spot a celebrity coming out of their home.

They saw many more stars homes as they passed through Beverly Hills on their way to Rodeo drive.  They were given some time to get out there and walk around or shop for a few minutes, before heading back on the bus and back into Hollywood and the strip where the guide pointed out all of the celebrity owned establishments and famous landmarks like the Kodak Theatre.  Almost four hours later, they were pulling back into Grauman’s where their tour officially ended.

They wanted to find a restaurant close by to have lunch, and then they were going to have a tour of the Theatre before heading back to the hotel to swim.  They decided on California pizza kitchen which was just a couple of blocks away for pizza and salad.

After lunch, they did the tour of the Chinese Theatre, where they learned about the history of the building as well as the shows that premiered there and the stars that attended those events since it’s opening in 1927.

They finished the tour and walked the short distance back to the Saharan Motor hotel.  They’d had a long day so far and were looking forward to relaxing for a bit and then swimming in the outdoor pool.  Adam and Kris said there were going to take a nap first and would meet everyone at the pool.  Chelsey snorted at that, whispering to them, “Sure, guys”.

But after falling on top of the king sized bed in their room, they soon fell asleep.

Adam woke first and watched Kris sleep for a few minutes, threading his hands through his hair and kissing his forehead.  Kris stirred, cuddling into Adam.  They stayed like that for a few minutes before Adam couldn’t wait any longer and kissed Kris awake.  “Hey baby”, he said as Kris opened his eyes and began kissing him back.

“Adam.”

“Let’s go swimming”, he said cheerily.

“No, I wanna stay here with you.”

“There will be plenty of time for that, baby.  Everyone’s waiting for us downstairs.”

Kris reluctantly agreed and they got changed into their new bathing suits.  “I like you better in your lifeguard uniform”, Kris snickered.

“I like you better with nothing at all, baby.”

Somehow, they managed to not molest each other and made their way to the pool.  They looked around, not spotting their family.  “Shit, we could have stayed in bed longer and…”  Kris began.

“Here they come”, Adam announced as the Martins entered the pool area, playfully arguing about something.

“Oh, you’re already here”, Pam hugged her boys.  They grabbed a table to put all of their things on and then found a couple of lounge chairs.

Adam and Kris were ready for some fun.  “Brent, Chelsey, come on in”, they called as they jumped into the pool, splashing around and laughing.

Pam and Ron watched their four children for just a moment, nodded to each other and jumped in after them.

Brother Love - Chapter 62

The airplane finally stopped at the gate and the passengers began to exit.  Adam and Kris grabbed their bags, along with the rest of the family and they made their way down the aisle, saying good bye to the flight attendants as they departed the plane.

“Wow, Adam.”  Kris kept looking around as they walked through the huge terminal.

They saw all kinds of people dressed in all kinds of attire; businessmen, tourists and residents.  “Adam, look”, they saw this young couple dressed in black leather with high spiked hair.  They both had dark make-up and piercings.  Kris thought it was kind of cool, but not for him.

“Goth”, Adam said to Kris.

“Um, are we dressed ok for California?” He snickered.

“Of course, look at those two”, he giggled, pointed out two people in floppy hats and shorts, with several bags of luggage.

“Oh great, we look like tourists”, Kris groaned.

“Come on, everyone”, Ron urged.  “We need to get to baggage claim and then to the car rental place.”

They stood around the baggage area and watched the luggage come down the carousel.  One by one, each piece of their luggage was accounted for except...

"Kris, is that it?"  Adam pointed to a black suitcase.

Kris looked, and then, "No."

"It'll come, honey."  Mom promised, although keeping her fingers crossed.

"Or you can just go naked", Adam whispered in his ear.

"Adam", he blushed.

"Wait", Kris pointed to another bag coming down and then dropping on the carousel.  He ran around the other side.  "Here it is", he yelled to his family.

"Well, thank goodness for that", Pam said.  "Don't need lost luggage to start our trip."

They grabbed a cart and put all of their bags on it and then made their way to the car rental counter where Ron had made a reservation for a minivan.  They didn't plan on driving everywhere, but it was cheaper in the long run than using taxi's to and from the farther places.

Ron took the keys from the clerk and Brent and Adam pushed the cart to the curb outside where they waited for the shuttle to take them to the lot where their car was parked.

They found it easily as there was a special part just for the vans.  They piled their luggage in the back of the minivan and then climbed inside.  Ron plugged in the address of the hotel into the GPS that was built into the car and then drove off towards Hollywood.

Everyone was chattering about the scenery and all of the traffic on the road.  It would be at least thirty to forty minutes to the hotel.

As they drove the 405 to Santa Monica Blvd into West Hollywood, they all looked out their windows at the view.  You could see Hollywood Hills as they got closer to the hotel.  “Look”, Kris said gawking at the huge Hollywood Sign up ahead of them.

Everyone looked out the window to see it.  “Hollywood”, Chelsey said dreamily.

Adam smiled the entire way, he felt like he was home; but not really.  Hollywood hadn’t been his home for a long time, and he never had a family here; not even his mom.  He had sad thoughts thinking of her.   He dropped those thoughts as Kris was pointing to the sign excitedly.  “Isn’t it amazing”, Adam said, remembering all the times he had seen that sign.

“Oh my God, there are movie stars here”, Chelsey squealed.

Before Long, Ron had turned onto Sunset Boulevard and then into the parking lot of the Saharan Motor hotel.  It didn’t look like much from the outside, but as they walked into the warm and cozy lobby, they were greeted by the friendly front desk clerk.

While Ron and Pam checked them in, the rest of the Martin clan walked around the lobby, checking out all of the brochures and things.  It was taking them quite a while and Adam could hear suite and upgrade and no doubles, but he didn’t think anything of it.

When the finished, Mrs. Martin announced that they were taking a two bedroom suite and one extra room next door.  That way they’d have a full kitchen and cook meals there instead of always eating out.

Then they went back to their car and drove around to their room.  Their rooms faced the pool, on the upper level so they each had a deck.  Ron handed a key to Adam and took him aside.  “Adam, there was a small problem with your room.”

Adam got wide eyed and gulped.  “Oh?”

“Yeah, they didn’t have any doubles next to the suite, so I’m afraid that, well, um…  Here’s your key”, he said handing the keycards to Adam while not meeting his eyes.  “We’ll see you on the deck in a few minutes, alright?”

“Ok dad”, he said slowly, not understanding what was going on.

Alright everyone; lets get the luggage up to the rooms.  They are right next to each other, so we can visit on the decks.”

Kris went over to Adam as they got their bags out of the car.  “What was that about?”  He asked a very befuddled Adam.

“I don’t know; something wrong with our room?  I have no idea.”

“That’s weird.”

They got a luggage cart from the hallway and put all of the bags on it and took the elevator up to their rooms.  They came to the two bedroom suite first and dropped off the luggage as the girls opened the door and went inside.  Then Adam and Kris took their own luggage and went a little further down the hallway to their room.  Adam took a deep breath as he put in the keycard and then turned the handle.  They tentatively walked into the room, expecting the worst.

“Oh my God”, they both said, mouths wide open.  They dropped their bags and both ran to the huge king sized bed if the middle of the room and fell together on it.

“Should we run and thank them?”

“Um, no.  I think it’s better to just let it go, Kris.”

“Ok”, he said laughing, wrestling with Adam on the bed.

“Oh, we’re supposed to meet everyone on the deck.”  Adam remembered.

They quickly looked around the room and then opened the sliding glass door that led to the large deck overlooking the pool.

They stood at the railing talking about the room for a couple of minutes before the Martin’s made their way onto the other two decks.  “Like your room, boys?”  Pam looked uneasily at them.

“Thanks mom”, Adam gave her a nod.

“You’re welcome.”  Pam was trying not to look nervous.  It made Adam smile. She quickly changed the subject.  “Well, this is a lovely view.”

They took seats outside and discussed the plans for the evening.  They’d rest for a bit and get cleaned up and then venture outside to Sunset Boulevard and have a nice meal and get acquainted with the area.

“And shopping”, Chelsey added, cheerfully.

“Ok everyone, then we’ll meet in the suite in two hours”, she said looking at the boys.

“Ok, mom, see you in two hours.”

The boys went back into the room, closing the door, flying to the bed again.  “Baby, this is incredible.”  Adam said, pulling Kris on top of him.

“We have two hours, Adam.”

“I know, but they’re right next door, it’s kind of weird.”

“That’s just what they were hoping for”, Kris pouted.

“But not too weird”, he smirked.  “Come here, baby.”

~~~~
The boys didn’t do anything except make out on the huge bed, and make plans for what they were going to do to each other when they got into bed that night.
Instead, they got up and walked around the room, looking everything over.  “I can’t believe we’re here”, Kris squealed.
“I know; it’s so strange for me.  I didn’t live that far from here.”
“When are you going to the bar?”
“In a couple of days, I want to have some fun first”, Adam said, walking into the bathroom.  “Kris”, he yelled.  “Come in here.”  He looked around the huge bathroom.
“Whoa.”  Kris said, walking into the room.  There was a huge tub and shower with a Jacuzzi and the counter was really big.  “Well, it’ll fit all your products”, he shrugged.
“Did you see the tub?  We can totally have some fun in there.”
Kris giggled, “Do we have time, now?”
“Yeah, come on.”
Adam turned on the water and let the tub fill up while he closed and locked the bathroom door, “Just in case”, he shrugged.
“They don’t have a key to this room”, Kris assured him.
“I know, but what if a maid or something came in?”
“Oh, yeah ok”, Kris agreed as he peeled off all of his clothing and waited for Adam at the bathroom counter.
Adam turned around to see a totally naked Krissy smirking at him.  “Baby”, he said walking over to him and kissed him into the mirror.  “So hot.”
“Mm, you’re so dressed.”  Kris panted as he fumbled with Adam’s shirt.
Adam kissed him again and then pulled the rest of his clothes off.  Standing there naked, he leaned over Kris, “Can’t wait to get you in that tub”, he whispered.
The water filled and Adam turned off the faucet and turned on the jets.  “Ready Kris?”
“Yeah”, it’s cold out here.”
“You don’t look cold”, Adam’s eyes glancing down at Kris’s very aroused cock.
“Adam”.  Kris blushed.
“Come on, get in”, Adam climbed into the tub and then took Kris’s hand, helping him into the swirling jets of water.
Adam enveloped Kris with his arms, pulling him in closer so his cock was pressed against Kris’s ass.  Kris wiggled to get closer, giving stimulation to Adam’s growing erection.  “Mm, baby, nice”, Adam reached around Kris’s waist, his hands gliding through the water till they rested in between Kris’s thighs.  He began moving slowly to his balls, squeezing gently.
Kris’s head was leaning back on Adam, eyes closed, mouth slightly open, small noises escaping from his lips.  Adam took that as encouragement and began stroking Kris’s cock, kissing the back of his neck.  The moans were getting deeper from Kris.  “Adam, please.”
“In time, baby.  Just relax.”
“Feels too good, Adam.”
“Should I stop?”  He teased.
“God, no.”
“Scoot up on my legs, Kris.”
“Huh?”
“So I can reach you, baby.”
“Oh”, Kris lifted his ass so his cheeks were resting on Adam’s legs and Adam had access to his beautiful entrance.  Using just the water, Adam began prepping Kris to take him; one finger at a time.
“Get on your knees.”
Kris turned and got on all fours, the jets of water churning around him.  Adam was behind him with the lube, three fingers inside of him now, scissoring to stretch him.  Kris was cursing at him to ‘get inside of me right now’.
Adam leaned over Kris and kissed his back as he lubed his cock and gently pressed into Kris.  “You’re hands ok, Kris?”
“I’m fine, please move, Adam.”
“Ok, baby”, Adam slowly fucked the boy beneath him.  “God, Kris.”
When they were close, Adam reached around and stroked Kris’s aching cock until they both came.
Not wanting to get out of the tub yet, Adam pulled out of Kris and sat behind him again; caressing his back and arms and telling him how much he loved him.
Kris relaxed into Adam’s arms again; they stayed like that until Adam heard his phone buzz.  Wondering who it was, he grabbed the phone and laughed.  Text: Chelsey: “You only have thirty minutes”
“Ok, baby, let’s rinse off.”
They stood up and quickly showered.  Adam turned off the water as Kris handed him a towel.  After getting dressed, Adam sat on the bed and texted Chelsey back.  Text: “Wanna see our room?”
A few minutes later there was a knock on the door.  “Hey, Chels”, Adam greeted her.
She looked around suspiciously but saw the bed was still made.
“So, let us give you the grand tour Chels”, Adam giggled, pointing out all the cool things in their room, but skipping the bathroom, which was scattered with towels and clothing.
“You should see the suite, you’ll just die.”
After a few minutes, the three of them left the room and walked the hallway to the Martin’s suite.
“There you are”, Pam invited them inside.
“Wow, you weren’t kidding, Chels.”
Pam walked them through the suite which had two bedrooms, a sitting room with a 40 inch television and two couches, and a full kitchen.
“Everyone ready for dinner?”  Ron asked the group.
“Yeah, I’m starving”, they all chimed, as they heading down to the hotel lobby.
Brother Love - Chapter 61
The trip to California was only two days away and everyone was frantic.  There was packing, last minute shopping and finalizing plans.  Ron had decided to make a spreadsheet of everything they wanted to do while they were there and then they would figure out a day to day itinerary, which Kris helped.
Adam was really glad they were so organized.  He only had one thing on his mind and that was the bar.  What if he got there and no one remembered him?  Girls come and go, who's to say anyone is left from three years ago.  He also wondered if he was secretly hoping for that outcome.
"Adam... Adam, are you listening to me?"
"Huh Kris?"
"You're worrying again", Kris rubbed Adam's shoulders, hoping to calm his nerves.
"Feels nice, baby" Adam said as he relaxed into Kris's touch.  Next thing, Kris was sitting in Adam's lap and they were making out, sweetly.
"Hi boys", Mom came into the room.
"Mom", Kris sat up.
"It's ok."
"Really?"
She shrugged, "You're growing up...
"What's up?"  Adam asked her.
"I wanted to talk to you about the hotel."
They perked up, "What about it, is there a problem?"
"No, no problem.  We have three rooms and I'm trying to figure out the best sleeping arrangements."
“Oh, what were you thinking mom?”  There was no way she’d let them have a room alone.
“Well, at first I was thinking that Chelsey should have her own room, but that would put you both with Brent and well, I’m not sure that would be comfortable for all of you.”
Adam raised his eyebrow, ‘What was she getting at?’
“So, I was thinking that Chelsey and I could share one room and dad and Brent could share the other and that just leaves you two…”  She stopped and waited for their reaction.
“Oh”, Kris thought, not really having heard her.  Then, “OH!””
“Really, mom?”  Adam beamed.
“Yeah, like I said, you’re growing up, and it’s not I don’t know that you… well…   No mom likes to think of that, but yeah…”
“Wow, thanks mom”, Adam stood and gave her a hug, while Kris stood there trying to absorb what she was saying.
“We can sleep together?”  Kris was thinking out loud.
“Uh”, she held up here hand.  “You can share a room together, I really don’t need to hear about anything else”, she gave them a stern look.  “Besides, we will be right next door, try and remember that.”
‘Way to kill the moment, mom’, Adam laughed to himself.  “Is it ok with Chelsey and Brent?” He asked instead.
“Yeah, it’ll be like a sleepover for me and Chelsey, anyway.”  She assured them.
“Thanks mom.”  They both hugged her again.
“You’re welcome.  I love you both.”  She left the room and went back downstairs smiling to herself.
Kris made sure that mom had left and shut the door, running over to Adam and kissing him sloppily.  “Oh my God, Adam!  Our own hotel room for ten whole days.”
“Right next to our parents and siblings”, Adam reminded.
“Yeah, they’ll probably put us in between the other two rooms.”  Kris joked.
“Well, at least we can sleep next to each other”, Adam pulled Kris into him.  “And cuddle all night long”.
They had dinner together as a family that evening and talked about the trip.
Everyone had something they wanted to do.  Chelsey mostly wanted to shop and see movie stars.  “Oh my God, I wonder if we’ll meet Bradley Cooper, I just love him.”
“Chelsey, I don’t think celebrities just walk around the tourist sights, you know”, Adam teased.
“You never met anyone famous when you lived there, Adam?”
“Um, no, Chels.  It was a seedy strip bar, not exactly the type of place A-listers go to.”
“Oh right, sorry.”
Brent just wanted to go to the beach and see all the hot Cali girls.  “Man, I can’t wait to get to the beach.  Bikini’s and surfing”, Brent was practically drooling.
Everyone finished eating in silence, thinking about what they wanted to see or do on the trip.  This was going to be exciting for all of them.
~~~~

Finally, the morning of their trip arrived.  Their plane was leaving Little Rock at twelve thirty in the afternoon.  They had a quick breakfast, finished last minute packing and then everyone met downstairs with their luggage at nine thirty to drive to the airport.

Brent’s friend Rick came over to drive them in their suburban so they wouldn’t have to park at the airport for ten days.  The car was already packed when he got there.   “Hey man”, Brent gave Rick a hug.  They’d been friends since middle school and hadn’t seen too much of each other since they graduated.

“How’s my Martins”, he said to the family.

“Hi Rick, how’s your mom?”  Pam asked.

After some small talk, Ron ushered everyone outside to the van.  “Thanks for taking us, Rick.”

“No problem, Mr. M”, he patted Mr. Martin on the back.

The drive to Little Rock wasn’t too bad on a Saturday morning.  They got to the airport exactly two hours before their flight.  Everyone grabbed their bags and said goodbye to Rick, as he hopped into the driver side.  “Have a safe trip, Martins”, he waved.

They checked their bags at the curb side check-in and then found their way to the gate and got their boarding passes.  They had previously booked their seats in two rows, one behind the other.  Chelsey wanted to sit with the boys.

They had plenty of time before take off, so Ron suggested they grab some snacks for the flight, in case there wasn’t any decent food served onboard.

They walked through the airport to find the food court inside the gates.  There was a gift shop that sold books and magazines, along with all sorts of snack foods.

Pam and Chelsey each picked out a book and Brent grabbed a magazine.  “Sure you two don’t want something to read?”  Pam asked them.

“No mom, we’ll be fine.”  They assured her.  Kris whispered to Adam, so they couldn’t hear.  “I just want to kiss you the whole way.”

“I heard that”, Chelsey chuckled.

They made their purchases and walked back to their gate to wait for their flight to be called.  They had a short flight to Memphis where they were changing planes, then non-stop from there to LAX.  Burbank airport was actually closer to Hollywood, where they were staying, but LAX had more flights and would take less time than going to Burbank. They were renting a car anyway so they could easily get around.

“I can’t believe we’re finally going”, Kris said excitedly.

“I know, Kris.  I can’t either.”  Adam was both excited and nervous.  He didn’t know what to expect, and hoped he wouldn’t be disappointed.  ‘I have no real expectations, so I guess I have nothing to lose.’  He told himself.

Everyone grabbed a seat at the gate.  Chelsey and Pam started their novels, while the Martin men all talked about nothing in particular.  It kept Adam’s mind away from worrying too much.

Ron eventually pulled out the laptop to go over their itinerary.  “So, first we check into the hotel and relax a bit.  They we’ll find a nice place near by to have dinner.”

They went over the rest of their plans.  They left plenty of time for swimming and relaxing, so in case they wanted to add some things, they’d have time.

Soon, their flight was announced and they headed over to the gate, waiting for their rows to be called.  Pam handed everyone their boarding passes and next thing they knew, the line was moving and the customer support agent checked their boarding passes allowing them through the jet-way to the airplane where the flight attendants and pilots greeted each passenger.

The Martins found their seats about half way down the aisle.  They had each checked in only one bag and carried the rest, so they stowed their other bags in the overhead.  It was a fairly small plane to Memphis.  The next flight would be much larger so they’d have more space.

Kris got in first and took the window seat.  Neither had ever been on an airplane before, but Kris was so excited, that Adam insisted he take the window.

Chelsey took the aisle and they all settled into their seats.  Brent and their parents were in front of them.  It was another twenty minutes before they actually took off; people taking their seats, placing bags in the overhead compartments, the flight attendants checking that everything was stowed properly.

Finally they heard the pilot begin to speak, telling them how long the flight would be and how high in the air they would go.  He also mentioned possible turbulence.

Then the flight attendants went into the aisles to demonstrate the safety equipment on board; seat belts, oxygen masks, etc.

Finally, they heard the engines roar and the plane began moving down the runway to take-off into the air.

Kris held onto Adam while looking out the window.  As the plane was rising, Kris kept pointing out things on the ground getting smaller and smaller.  “Adam, look”, he was fascinated with the aerial view of the city.  “Swimming pools look so cool from up here.”

Pretty soon, the plane was in the air and the captain turned off the seat belt sign.  Chelsey had settled into her book and was ignoring the boys, so Adam lifted the armrest separating them, took off his and Kris’s seatbelts and pulled Kris in to him, nuzzling his boy.  “Kris, we’re really doing this.”

“It’s going to be ok, Adam.  I promise.”

“Thanks, baby.  I’m so glad you’re with me. ”

It was only a thirty minute flight from Little Rock to Memphis and pretty soon, the captain turned on the seatbelt sign and announced their decent.

Once the airplane came to a complete stop, they allowed the passengers to stand up file out one row at a time.

They only had about a forty five minute layover, so they quickly found their gate and waited until they announced their next flight.

They proceeded to the gate once they called their flight and again waited for their row to be called and then handed the gate agent their boarding passes and walked down the bridge to the plane.  This one was bigger and there were three flight attendants waiting to greet them and show them to their seats.

Once the plane was in the air, the flight attendant made her way down the aisle to offer them something to drink.  Chelsey, who was now 21, got a cocktail.  “What?  I always wanted to do this”, she said, smirking to the boys, taking a sip of her drink.

Adam and Kris each got a soda and took the peanuts that were offered.  “Where’s our snacks?”  Kris asked Adam, reaching under his seat for the bag.

“Here, babe”, Adam grabbed it and took out the cheese crackers.

Kris grabbed the Slim Jim, “Yum”, he said, pulling down the plastic and taking a bite.

“God Kris, how can you eat that shit?”

“So good, Adam.  Here, try.”

“No thanks, baby”, Adam made a face.  ‘Dried meat? Um no.’ he thought, smiling though at Kris’s enthusiasm.   “I think I’ll wait for them to bring some real food”, he had seen the food area as they boarded the plane.

It was a four hour flight to Los Angeles.  The flight attendant brought blankets and pillows and the boys snuggled up together and fell asleep on and off for most of the flight, waking up to eat and use the restroom.

Pretty soon, they heard the captain announce their decent into Los Angeles International Airport.  Kris nudged Adam awake and took his hand.  “Baby, we’re almost here”, he whispered.  Adam tensed up just a little at the realization.

The flight attendant came around one last time to make sure everyone’s seatbelts were fastened and the tray tables locked and then went back to their own seats to prepare for landing.

‘Well, this is it’, Adam thought to himself.  ‘I’m ready.’  Mostly trying to convince himself.

Brother Love - Chapter 59

Amanda came over to see Adam a few days after she and Tanner got back from their honeymoon in Hawaii, just as she had promised.

“Tell me all about your trip”, Pam insisted, pouring Amanda a cup of coffee.

The ladies were deep in conversation when Adam and Kris came downstairs, “Amanda”, Adam hugged her tight, “So good to see you.”

“You too, sweetie”, she returned his hug.

Then turning back towards Pam; “I actually came here to take Adam out for coffee, is that alright?”

Amanda drove them to the coffee shop in town, “So how’s married life?” Adam asked her, taking his non-decaffeinated mocha latte from the counter, smelling it.

“It’s great. Tanner is amazing. Hawaii was beautiful, you know…”

They took their cups and found a seat, “So, let’s talk about Bryson…”

Adam took a deep breath. He seriously hadn’t even thought about him since the wedding. “Well, he told me just a little bit.”

"He told you about getting kicked out of Joes and the other boy?"

"Yeah, they were getting high or something?"

"Well, yes, but they were caught in bed together."

"Ya know, I just don't get how you can stick a bunch of horny teenage gay boys in a bedroom together and not expect them to experiment with each other.   It's a little unrealistic."  Adam was thinking back.

"I know."

"Joe's an idiot."

“Hmm", she was trying to decide where to start. “Well, good news is, I finally got him put away.”

That earned a raised eyebrow from Adam.  "For what?"

Shaking her head, “I wasn’t sure if I was going to tell you anything about him or not; would just bring up unpleasant memories, but I guess its better that you know everything.” She gave him a thoughtful look.

Adam sat up straight. He was truly interested in hearing this story.

“Well, it turned out that Joe was involved in money laundering for some local thugs who have mob connections. He was using the boys to do his deliveries and such. I don’t really want to get into that part right now.  I guess you weren’t there long enough to mix you up in all of that...”

Adam sat in shock. He knew that Joe was a jerk, but criminal?

“However, after Bryce and the other boy were kicked out, we started investigating him and eventually had enough evidence to get him convicted. And, he'll no longer be running any type of group home…”

Adam couldn’t help the small smile appearing across his face.

"Turns out the mob wasn't too happy with Joe either, as he was skimming off the top and using underage kids to do his dirty work, so they threw him under the bus, so to speak.  He's doing three to five in the state Penn right now."

"Wow, karma's a bitch, huh?"

"Mm huh", Amanda continued.  “It was because of the boys’ involvement that social services were involved in the first place. But I wasn’t Bryce’s social worker at the time, so there wasn’t much I could do for him. He was dealing drugs along with that same kid and after being kicked out of another group home, he ran away; ending up on the streets.”

Adam shuddered just a little.  He knew exactly how that felt.

“I was doing work at the county jail when I saw his name come across the desk, so I asked about him. Anyway, long story short, I got him out of there and became his social worker. He was a mess, Adam.”

“I’m sorry.” Adam seemed genuinely sorry for the boy.

“Why, none of this was your fault. In fact, it’s a good thing you were gone from all of that, or who knows what might have happened to you. Anyway, between me and his probation officer, we got him set up in a group type of apartment with three other older boys. No adult like Joe living there, just weekly visits from the two of us. As long as the boys kept a job and stayed out of trouble, they were free.”

“Sounds really nice, Amanda.”

“Well, you say that, but a seventeen year old kid, out on his own with no parental guidance isn’t easy, especially with his history of drugs.”

Adam nodded in understanding.

“So anyway, Bryce cleaned up his act, finished high school and is now enrolled in the community college.”

“Yeah, he said he’s been working in your office, too?”

“Uh huh. He wanted to help kids like him, so he’s been interning for us.”

“I think that’s really great, Amanda.”

“Adam, it was a total lapse on my part that I didn’t tell you about him coming. I didn’t even think. He’s come so far, and I’ve never even mentioned you to him. I didn’t even know if he remembered you. And, he wasn’t using the same name, so I didn’t connect you to him any longer.”

“Amanda, it’s alright.  It was fine”, he assured her.  Then remembering the wedding, he said, “However, he was hoping that I was single and still wanted to, you know hook up…”

“Wow. So he had an alternative motive for coming to the wedding?” She said, thoughtfully.

“Appears so”, Adam shrugged his shoulders.

“Well, you’re a very handsome guy, Adam. I don’t blame him for trying”, she chuckled.

They finished their coffee and then Amanda drove him home. “So you’re going to California soon?”

“We are.  I’m a little nervous.”

“Yeah, I guess I would be too.  But, facing your fears can be very therapeutic.  I hope you find what you you’re looking for, Adam.”

~~~~
A few days later, Amanda called Adam to tell him that he’d been right about Bryson.  He kept asking her questions about him and his relationship with Kris.
 "Um, I not interested in him, at all.”
“Don’t worry, honey. I told him that you were committed to Kris.  He said that he just wanted to talk, get to know you again, as friends."
“Thanks, Amanda. I’m glad he’s doing fine, but I don’t really want to see him again.”
“I know, Adam, but I promised I'd pass the message along; but I'll make sure he knows.”
When Adam hung up the phone, he had a feeling he hadn’t heard the last of Bryce.
~~~~

Over the next few weeks, the boys mostly worked at the pool and got ready for their trip.  Kris was beyond excited. He kept reciting the brochure and googling all of the places that he wanted to visit while they were there.

He kept saying, “Adam, check this out”, showing him all of the sights online.

“I don’t know how much time we’ll have to spend there, Kris.”

“Oh my God, Adam; we have to go to Disneyland!”

“Kris.”

“Sorry. I know we’re going for you.”

“Yeah, but I want to enjoy all of these things with you too, baby”, he reached around him with him arm, kissing Kris’s neck. “So can I pull you away from that computer?” Adam smirked.

“What did you have in mind?” He smirked back.

“Come over here and make out with me?”

“Mmkay" Kris jumped out of his desk chair and shut his door, racing Adam to the bed.

~~~~
They spent most every day at the swim club. Adam was the most popular lifeguard with the ladies. Kris would giggle every time he saw a girl wiggle her hips while she walked past the lifeguard stand, trying to get Adam’s attention and then try and flirt with him.  Sometimes it was groups of girls, giggling and waving.  None of them realized that Adam didn’t even notice them.
Allison and Lucy would do it just to be funny. “Remember when you had a huge crush on him, Luc?”
“Yeah, but he’s still so hot”, they both giggled.
There was this one girl, much younger than Kris, probably around fourteen, who just couldn’t keep her eyes off of Adam. She’d constantly do things to get his attention, like running on the deck, or screaming as she jumped into the pool. Adam would just laugh and blow his whistle at her. “Stop running.” He’d say, or “Hey, no screaming.”
One day, she really wasn’t paying attention and tripped on the side of the deck and fell into the pool. Somehow, she hit her head and was briefly knocked unconscious. Fortunately, not only Adam, but the other lifeguard on duty saw it happen and they both jumped in after her.
They pulled her out of the pool and laid her on the deck, checking for breathing. Fortunately,
she was, and she came to pretty quickly, crying and panicking and mostly embarrassed.
“Its ok honey, you're alright”, Adam tried to reassure her. “What’s your name?”
Through her sobs, she managed to squeak out, “Audrey”.
“Well Audrey, you’re very lucky. But you need to pay better attention to where you’re going.”
“I’m sorry; I was trying to get your attention. I wanted you to notice me. I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright, Audrey”, he said, “But my job is to make sure everyone stays safe.” He gently reprimanded.
“Ok, um…”
“Adam.”
She beamed, “Thank you, Adam.”
After Audrey had calmed down and her mother found her, Adam went on a break to find Kris.
“Hey babe”, he found Kris working at the snack bar. “Adam, what’s up?”
“Nothing, I just had rescue someone.” He shrugged, still a little shaken up from the incident.
“You alright?”
“I am now.”
“Wait; let me see if I can take a break.”
After a couple of minutes, Kris came out from behind the counter to join Adam. “Come on, sit with me.”
Adam told Kris the entire story. “Wow, Adam; must be nice to be sooo hot. Girls falling all over themselves, even practically drowning for you”, he chuckled.
“Funny, Kris.”
They were sitting together; holding hands, when Audrey walked passed them.
“Hi Adam”, Audrey flirted.
“Hi Audrey”, Adam answered.  “You doing better?”
“Don’t encourage her.”
“What, I’m just being nice.”
“Well, I have to get back to work, anyway. Have fun”, Kris kissed him quick on the lips. “Love
you, Adam.”
“Mm, love you too, Kris.”
“Oh.” Adam heard someone say.
“Is that you’re… um…” Audrey said as she walked over to Adam.
“Boyfriend? Yeah, it is. Kris.”
“Oh”, she sounded deflated. “That sucks.”
“I think I’m a little old for you anyway, Audrey.”
She shrugged.
“But we can be friends.” He reached out his arm to shake hers.
She looked at his outstretched arm and nodded, “Ok”, but gave him a big hug instead.
Then he heard her say as she walked away, "Why are all the cute boys gay?"
Brother Love - Chapter 58 Part 3
Once all of the guests were seated, the Master of Ceremonies was ready to begin announcing the procession.  First to enter were the parents of the Bride and then the groom.  The guests all stood and cheered as each group was announced.
 Next, the wedding party walked in, beginning with the bridesmaid’s accompanied by their groomsman, one pair at a time.  When Adam walked in, Kris’s breath hitched.  He was so gorgeous.
They were followed by the Maid of Honor and the Best Man.  Each was received with warm applause.  Then it was time for the grand entrance of the Bride and Groom.  “Ladies and Gentlemen”, the MC began, “I would like to introduce for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Tanner Hutchinson.”
Everyone turned around applauded as the new Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson walked into the room.  They stood in the center of the room so everyone could snap pictures.  Amanda’s train had been bustled creating beautiful pleats from the scallops down the back.
Amanda and Tanner walked to their seats at the head table where the rest of the wedding party was standing.  They all sat at the same time and then the MC gestured for the rest of the guests to sit as well.
Kris couldn’t take his eyes off of Adam.  Apparently, either could Bryson.  Kris spotted him a few tables away staring at the head table, at Adam.
Soon, the toasts began with Bill, the Best Man.  He had a warm and funny speech about Tanner growing up and how happy he was that he’d found love in Amanda.  It was beautiful.
Afterwards, there were a few more toasts and then dinner was served.  The meal began with a tossed green salad with slivered almonds and raspberry vinaigrette dressing.  Next were freshly baked breads and honey whipped butter and a lobster bisque soup with and sour crème topping.  The entrée was a choice of petit filet mignon, roasted potatoes and vegetable medley with buttery wine sauce or herbed stuffed salmon with wild rice and Buttered asparagus tips.
Throughout the meal, every time someone would tap their champagne glass, Tanner and Amanda would kiss.  So, people did it quite frequently.  Whenever they kissed, Adam and Kris would look at each other and smile.
Once dinner had ended, the wedding party was free to move around.  They would be serving the cake just a little while later.  So, Adam quickly made his way over to the Martin’s table and Kris.  “Oh hi sweetie”, Mrs. Martin said.  “Have a seat next to Kris.”  She and Mr. Martin got up to mingle.
“Adam”, Kris said as Adam wrapped his arms around him, giving him a peck.  “I missed you.”
“Mm, I missed you too, baby.”
“You looked terrific, Adam”, Chelsey interrupted.
“Thanks, Chels.”
The boys were able to stay together while the bride and groom made their way through all of the tables to greet everyone.
Soon it was time for the first dance.  The music began to play their song, as Amanda and Tanner made their way to the dance floor.  Everyone clapped when it was over.  Then it was time for the bride to dance with her dad and the groom to dance with his mom.
Once the official dances were over, the floor was open and it was time to party.  Adam practically pulled Kris onto the dance floor.
After several dances, Bryson found the boys and asked if he could sit with them and talk.  Adam agreed.  He was a little curious about Bryce and the rest of the boys from the home.  That Joe was a good for nothing.
Bryce told his story, how he cried to Joe so he wouldn’t get into any trouble.  After Adam left, they had another boy arrive a few months later.  He was the same age as Bryce and a real trouble maker.  The boy had talked Bryce into getting stoned with him one afternoon when they were alone and how Joe found them in bed together.  “I don’t know how Joe thought that hormonal teenage boys would be able to stay celibate like that, gay or not.”
Bryce and the other boy were tossed out after that.  He ended up getting into drugs and found himself on the street.  Then eventually, he landed himself in jail.  That’s when Amanda rescued him.
Adam smiled at that.  “Yeah, Amanda is a rescuer, isn’t she?”
“She wasn’t even my social worker at the time, but she had me transferred to her charge.  Anyway, I was almost eighteen by then.  There was no one to take me because of my age, so she found me a job and an apartment.  Anyway, I somehow finished school and now I’m at the community college.”
“Wow Bryce, that’s quite a story.”
“Yeah, I was really angry for a long time, you know?  But she kicked my butt and got me on the right track eventually.  I’m studying to be a social worker.  Help kids like me.  I’ve been working part time in Amanda’s office as a clerk.”
“What about your family?”
“I’ve talked to them some.  They’re still not comfortable with me, so…  What about you, Adam?  Kris told me that Amanda placed you with his family after you left Joe's?”
Adam glanced over at Kris who looked apologetically at him.  “He asked how I knew you.”
“That’s ok, baby.  Yeah, Amanda found the Martin’s for me.  I was trying to go back to California and she took me off the bus.   I was already in Texas when she found me.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I’m so lucky they took me in.   And I met Kris.  I couldn’t be happier.”
“I’m glad, Adam.”
They talked for a while longer.  Kris couldn’t be mad or jealous or anything.  He felt bad for Bryce.  “So Bryce, are you seeing anyone?”  Kris needed to know that.
“No, not really.  I haven’t had very good experiences with boys”, he laughed.
Kris felt a little uncomfortable at that.  ‘So was that why he was here?  To get Adam back?’
“So, you never forgot Adam.”  It wasn’t a question.
“No, I never did.  I felt really bad for what I did.  I know that I would have been kicked out too and that there was no way that Joe wouldn’t have kicked out Adam either way, so…”
“You took the coward way out”, Kris added.
“Yeah, I guess.  Amanda never mentioned you to me.  Confidentiality, I guess, but I always wondered.  So when she invited me to the wedding, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.”
“So you thought you could start where you left off with him?”
“Kris”, Adam raised his voice.  “That’s enough.”
That took Kris off guard, Adam getting mad at him like that.  “I’m going back to sit with mom.”  And he took off pouting.
“Sorry about that Bryce.”  Adam apologized for Kris’s behavior.
“That’s ok, Adam.  He’s just a kid.”
“No, he’s not.  He’s seventeen.”
“And you’re an adult.  You need a man, Adam.”
“What?”  Adam realized that maybe Kris saw something he did not.  He needed to go and find Kris and apologize to him.
“Look Bryce, Bryson.  I’m glad you finally have your life on track, but I’m happy where I am and with Kris.”
“For now”, Bryce said, smugly
“Forever.  Look, I need to find Kris.  Good luck with your life.  Maybe I’ll see you around sometime.”  Adam got up and went to Kris’s table.  Kris was sulking as the Martin’s were dancing and Chelsey was mingling.
Before he arrived at the table, Amanda found him and pulled him to the side.  “Adam, I’m so sorry, I didn’t even connect you with Bryson when I invited him to usher.  I hope it’s not too uncomfortable for you.  I’d never do that on purpose.  I guess I need to explain some things to you.”  She was rambling.
“Amanda”, Adam stopped her, placing his hand on her shoulder.  “When you get back from your honeymoon, we’ll get together for coffee and have a long talk, alright?  But, this is your big day; you shouldn’t have any worries.  I’m fine.” He assured her, giving her a big hug.
“You’ve turned into the most wonderful person, Adam.  I never doubted for a second that you would; thank you, sweetie.  You know, Bryson hasn’t exactly had the same experience as you since leaving Joe’s.”  She patted him on the back as if to say, go easy on him.
Adam found Kris at the table, alone.  He took his hand.  “Dance with me, baby.”
They were playing a slow song, so Adam could hold him tight.  “I love you, Kris.  Please don’t ever doubt that.  And, I’m sorry for yelling at you.  You were right.”
Kris looked up at him, “Right?  About what?”
“Bryce wanted to start something with me, I think.”  Kris’s eyes got wide at that.  “Don’t worry, I told him off and came to find you.”
“Thanks, Adam.” I wasn’t jealous, but sometimes I see things that you don’t, and…”
“I know that, baby.”  Adam pulled Kris in closer to him, dancing cheek to cheek, while Bryce stared from his table.  “I’m sorry, I treated you like that.  I love you, Kris..”
“I love you, Adam.”
After that the music sped up and the boys danced their feet off until it was time for the garter ceremony where the groom slides the garter down the bride’s leg and then throws is behind him to the awaiting bachelors.  Then it’s the brides turn and all of the single ladies wait to catch the bouquet.
Adam and Kris opted out of trying to catch the garter, since the tradition is that whoever catches it rolls it up the leg of the lady who caught the bouquet.
“No thanks, babe.”  They watched and cheered instead.
Chelsey however, tried her hand at catching the bouquet. “Hey, I need all the help I can get”, she giggled.
Afterwards, they wheeled out the cake to the center of the room and the Bride and Groom would cut the first slice and then feed it to each other.  They took the clean route and did not shove it in each other’s face.
Then, while the kitchen was cutting up the rest of the cake and getting ready to serve it with coffee, there was a champagne toast on the dance floor, where the happy couple thanked everyone once again.  Adam and Kris each finally took a glass and gave each other a sip, arms intertwined.  “I love you, baby.”
Adam had to sit back at the head table for dessert.  Once it was over, everyone headed back to the dance floor.
The reception began to wind down an hour or so later.  Bryce found the boys again and apologized if he’d made them uncomfortable.  “I didn’t know you were with anyone, Adam.  Good luck to both of you”, he winked and left.
“Well, I’m glad he’s gone”, Kris smirked.
Adam laughed, “Yeah, me too.”
Soon it was time for the last dance.  “Everyone on the floor”, the DJ yelled.
“Come on, babe”, Adam dragged Kris out there one last time as ‘Born this Way’ was played.   “This should be the theme song at our wedding, Kris.”
“Yes, definitely.”
Then it was time for everyone to go outside and say farewell to the bride and groom.  Everyone was given a small bottle of bubbles to blow as the couple made there grand entrance outside and into their limo which had been decorated with paper flowers and ribbon; ‘Just Married’, painted on the back window.  Everyone cheered as Amanda and Tanner got into the back, waving to their guests.
~~~~

The Martins walked to their car with the boys and drove home to Conway.  “That was a beautiful wedding, boys.”

“Yeah, it really was.”

“Who was that boy you were talking to?”  Chelsey asked Adam.

“Just someone I used to know”, he smiled at Kris and held him the whole way home.  But he couldn’t help but wonder at the last thing Bryce said to him.  He hoped Bryce didn’t try to cause trouble for him and Kris.

Chapter 58 Part 2

“Adam”, Kris turned around and saw the beautiful sight in front of him.  “You look gorgeous”, he said as they embraced.  “Oh Adam, this is Kevin, Amanda’s younger brother and this is… um, Bryson, right?”
“Yeah, hi man”, Bryson turned around and then his mouth dropped as he found himself face to face with Adam… after all these years.

Bryson turned white as a ghost, as he reached out to shake Adam’s hand.  “Adam.”

“Bryson, right?  Nice to meet you.”  Adam shook his hand.  There was something really familiar about this guy.  ‘Bryson, Bryson… Bryce…’

Adam looked at him again.  “Bryce?”  He said, unsure.

“Yeah, it’s me.  How are you, Adam?” Bryce had hearts in his eyes, looking at the object of his affection.

Adam wasn’t sure if he should be angry, glad, or just run away from the situation.  He’d put all that behind him, but now, here was Bryce right in front of him acting like they were long lost friends.
Adam stood back and looked him over again.  “I’m good.  I’ve been with the same family for the past three years.  Ever since I got kicked out of…”

Bryce lowered his head.  “Adam, I am so sorry about that.  I was just a kid and Joe already blamed you.  I was just taking care of myself.  I am so sorry”, he ended practically in a whisper.

Adam thought about everything for a minute.  There was no use fighting with this person.  Adam had won.  He got out of that place and met the Martin’s and Kris and was having a great life.  He was also just a little curious about Bryce.  But, he also wasn’t exactly willing to completely forgive him, either.

“So Bryce, I mean Bryson…”

“You can call me Bryce, Adam.  Bryson is my legal name and I’ve been using it for a while…”

“Bryce, this is Amanda’s wedding.  I owe her everything, so…  This day is about her”, he shook his head.

“I understand”, Bryce looked a little disappointed.

“I want to talk to you, Bryce, I do.  Just not now, ok?”  He said sternly.  Then seeing the expression on Bryce’s face, he added, “Look for us at the reception.”

He nodded his head in agreement.  “Ok, Adam.”

“Wait, this is Bryce?”  Kris was just beginning to comprehend the situation.

“Come on, baby.  We have a wedding to usher.”  Adam kissed him and led him away from Bryce.

~~~~
The three groomsmen assisted the ushers until it was time for them to meet Tanner in the room again.  “See you later, baby”, Adam kissed him quickly and then left.
As Kris, Kevin and Bryson were walking the guests to their seats; Kris had a few moments to talk to Bryson.  “You know, I should be furious with you, after what you did to Adam, but I just can’t be.”
“Kris, right?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m sorry, but how do you know Adam?”
“He came to live with my family after he left yours.”  He said smugly.
“And now you’re, um, together?”
“Long story, Bryson, but yeah, we’ve been together for two years.”
“And your family didn’t kick him out when they found out?”  He said mostly to himself.
Kris gave him a look, like ‘obviously no’, but then let it go.
It was time to walk the mother of the bride to her seat and Kris took that honor.  He tried to push the thought of Bryce out of his mind, but he had so many questions.  He was so deep in thought, that he almost walked her to the wrong side of the church.  “I’m with the bride, sweetie”, she whispered in his ear, stifling a small giggle.
“I am so sorry ma’am”, he corrected himself and got her to her seat in the front row.  After that, Kris and Kevin unrolled the white aisle runner, and then the other two ushers stood in the back, in case of any late arrivals.  Kris found his seat with the Martin’s and sat next to Chelsey.
~~~~

The groomsmen and Tanner stood at the Alter as the music began to play Pachelbel’s Canon in D and the flower girls and bridesmaids began their walk down the aisle.  Kris couldn’t take his eyes off of Adam, however and the thought that Bryce, Adam’s Bryce, was here watching him too.  What did he want?  Why didn’t Amanda tell Adam that he’d be here?  Was Adam happy to see him?

Chelsey nudged him to pay attention, so he finally turned his head so he could see the bridesmaids making their decent.  They were wearing strapless full length dresses in deep purple, matching the boys’ carnations.  The little flower girl had a white dress with the same color purple satin tie around her waist and carried a basket of purple flowers and the ring bearer had a black suit with the same purple cummerbund.   Pam and Chelsey were fawning over the beautiful dresses.  Kris barely noticed.

Then, the music changed to the Bridal Chorus as the entire congregation turned as Amanda made her grand entrance.  Everyone gasped as she began to walk with her dad, who had the proudest grin as he guided her down the aisle.

She looked like a princess, wearing a strapless a-line bodice with silk covered buttons down the back, full length silk and lace gown with a long flowing chapel length train.  She was breathtaking.  Even Kris had to admit that.  Everyone stood as the bride and her father made their way towards the Alter where her groom was waiting for her.

The music stopped, and her father gave her a kiss on the cheek and gave her to Tanner.

~~~~
The ceremony was beautiful.  The couple said their vows, and then the preacher pronounced them husband and wife.  Adam had sought out Kris during the ceremony and kept glancing at him during different parts.  At the “You may kiss the Bride”, Adam smiled at Kris and winked at him.  This did not go unnoticed by Bryce, who was further in the back of the church.
Then the recessional music began as the bridesmaid with her respective groomsman began to walk back down the aisle.  Adam smiled at Kris as he walked arm in arm with the pretty blonde woman.  She saw him looking at Kris and squeezed his arm, knowing what he was thinking at that moment.
Then Bill and the maid of honor began, followed by Amanda and Tanner.  They were all smiles as they walked towards the front of the church with everyone clapping.
Kevin walked his mother, the mother of the bride, out of the church, while Kris walked the groom’s mother.  Then they and Bryson dismissed the rest of the congregation one row at a time.
The wedding party was lined up outside the church as everyone filed out, ready to congratulate the newlyweds.
Kris finally came outside and had to wait in line to get to the wedding party, well, Adam.  He could see his gorgeous man smiling and shaking hands as everyone went through the line.  The Martins came through and shook everyone’s hand, but Pam gave Adam a huge hug.  “You were magnificent, Adam.”
“Mom”
“Well, you were”, she insisted.
Amanda was all smiles as she accepted congratulations and hugs.
Finally, Kris came through.  “Come here, baby”, Adam pulled him out of line to stand next to him.  Kris proudly stood next to Adam until the line had ended.
Bryson made his way over to Adam, “Nice job man.”
Adam just stared at him, like he wasn’t sure if this guy had a right to speak to him or not.  “Thanks, Bryce.”  He quickly looked at Kris.
Amanda noticed the exchange and it took her a moment and then realized what she had done.  Her eyes got wide and she looked at Adam apologetically.  Adam gave her a nod.
~~~~

The wedding party needed to stay for pictures outside, while the guests drove to the reception site which was at a beautiful old 106 acre farm estate in North Little Rock.  It had been converted to a reception and banquet hall many years ago.  It was rustic and elegant, and the grounds were magnificent and very picturesque.

As the guests began to arrive at the estate, there was a pre-reception area with an open bar and mobile waiters serving hors d'oeuvres.

There was a coat check in area and an attendant greeting guests at the door, taking gifts to the gift table inside the reception hall.

Kris went with his family to the reception.  “You did such a great job, sweetie”, Pam told him in the car.

“Yeah, except that I almost put Amanda’s mom on the wrong side of the aisle”, he giggled.

“Really, Kris?”  Chelsey laughed, too.

“She was really nice about it.”

Kris waited patiently for Adam to arrive, but it seemed to be taking forever.  “Kris; have some hors d'oeuvres”, Chelsey pointed to the trays being walked around.

“Don’t get too stuffed”, mom reminded.

Kris decided to walk around and taste all of the goodies.  There were crabbed stuffed mushrooms, shrimp and little pastries filled with meat.  Kris was having fun sampling all of the food.

Before long, Bryson found him.  “So can we talk?”

“Um, ok”, he stuffed the rest of the puff pastry into his mouth.

Bryson grabbed two glasses of wine and gave one to Kris.  “Oh, no thanks; I’m not legal yet.”

“It’s a wedding, have some fun.”

“Yeah, last time I had fun like this, I ended up in the bathroom of the hotel puking my guts out”, he remembered.  “Adam was so sweet about it, though.”

“You love him?”

“Of course I do”, Kris looked at him strangely.

“He deserves someone good”, Bryson took a long sip of the wine.  “Anyway, I won’t let you get drunk, I promise.”  He winked.  “Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure.”

“How did you and Adam get together?  I mean, he’s just a foster kid, not a real member of the family.  You’re parents were really ok with it?”  Bryce was trying to figure this out.

“Well, I’m a foster kid too, not that I think it would have mattered.  Well, I don’t really know, but…”
Bryce gave him a look, “Oh, I had no idea.”

“Adam fought it for a long time”, Kris continued.  “Visions of you and his experience at that last place really haunted him. “

“Yeah”, Bryce rubbed the back of his head.  “I’m really sorry about that.”

Bryson and Kris talked for a while, but Kris really wanted to get back to Chelsey where he felt safe.  He wasn’t comfortable answering these questions without Adam.

“Hey, we’ll look for you later, ok?  I need to get back to my parents.  Thanks for the wine.”  He set the glass down without ever taking a sip and found his family again.

Someone tapped a champagne glass with a fork to get everyone’s attention.  “We’ll begin seating inside in about twenty minutes.  Please have another cocktail while you wait.

“Wow, are they trying to get everyone drunk?”  Kris asked.

“It’s a wedding, sweetie.  And there’s a lot of food.”  Pam tried to sound convincing.

~~~~
Meanwhile, back at the church, the photographer began shooting the wedding party and their families.  They did pictures with just the bride and groom, the entire wedding party, just the guys, just the girls and then added parents and siblings in here and there.  After about twenty minutes, they packed up and drove to the reception venue for some additional photographs on the grounds of the estate.  There were horses in the background and beautiful fields.
Amanda wanted a couple of pictures with just her and Adam.  And then they did one last group shot.  Adam was having a blast getting his picture taken, but he wanted to get back to Kris.  He hadn’t even thought of Bryce this whole time.
They finally made their way to the entrance of the estate, just as the guests were being led into the large decorated dining room.
Once all of the guests were seated, the Master of Ceremonies was ready to begin announcing the procession.  First to enter were the parents of the Bride and then the groom.  The guests all stood and cheered as each group was announced.
Chapter 58 Part 1
The next week and a half were really busy for everyone, especially Adam.  Amanda and Tanner’s wedding was the following Saturday and he had fittings and rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and the bachelor party.
Kris was included everything as well, since he was not only an usher but also Adam’s date for all of the
festivities.  Tanner wasn’t really into the ‘traditional’ bachelor party that would most definitely not have been appropriate for the under 21’s, so instead he opted for a really nice dinner at the club a week before the wedding, where he presented all of his groomsmen with diamond studded cufflinks.
They had a private room with a six course meal.  Even Adam and Kris had a little champagne to toast the Groom.  Bill, Tanner’s brother, had arranged for some ‘entertainment’, but it was totally pg-13.  There were several girls who showed up to dance and pay attention to the gentleman.  One seemed to particularly like Adam, but Kris scooted in closer to him and gave the girl quite the stare.  So, she just smiled and moved on.
The ladies ended up surrounding Tanner, dancing around him with one sitting on his lap, giving him a kiss on the cheek.  It was all clean fun, they stayed relatively dressed, and the guys got a kick out of seeing them fawn all over Tanner.  Kris was just glad they stayed away from Adam.
Meanwhile, the ladies had a bridal shower for Amanda at her maid of honor’s home.  Pam and Chelsey were both invited.  Pam had helped Amanda so much with the wedding plans.  Amanda received all of the usually shower gifts, including some wedding night attire and massage oils to which Pam gave Chelsey a look.
Finally, the day before the wedding arrived and it was time for the rehearsal and dinner.  The wedding would be held at a church in Little Rock, so they had the dinner in a nearby restaurant, mainly for the wedding party and some of the out of town guests.
Adam and Kris drove themselves to the church for the rehearsal.   A limo would be picking them up the following day for the wedding, along with the rest of the wedding party.
Aside from Kris, there would be two other ushers, and then the groomsmen would assist as well where needed.  They explained role of the ushers, and they practiced with the wedding party, how they would walk the guests to their seats, and to ask which side they were with; bride or groom.
Since he was the only usher invited to the rehearsal, Tanner told Kris that he’d be the head usher, and to instruct the other’s tomorrow.  He grinned, feeling very important.  When it was time for the actual rehearsal, Kris had a seat up front so he could watch Adam.
They ran through the processional with the music.  Tanner was standing next to the preacher, and then Bill, followed by Tanner’s two friends and then Adam.
The maid of honor was Amanda’s best friend from college and the bridesmaids consisted of her sister and two of her other good friends.   They walked down the aisle and stood across from their respective groomsman.  The woman who was paired with Adam was a pretty little blonde in her late twenties.  It wasn’t until the groomsmen were walking the bridesmaids back down the aisle that Kris even noticed the girl paired with Adam.  He watched them walk with Adam’s arm threaded through hers, wishing it was him.  Adam, who knew exactly what Kris was thinking, winked at him made a kissing face as he walked past Kris.   The girl, Jessica noticed, and giggled, “Aw, that was so cute.  He’s your boyfriend?”  She asked.
“Yeah, that’s Kris.”
“He’ll be sitting with you at the head table then?”
“Oh, I hadn’t thought about that.  I hope so.”  He made a mental note to ask Amanda about the seating arrangements.
Afterwards, they piled into their cars and met at the restaurant.  They had a lovely dinner, where the happy couple thanked everyone for being a part of their special day.
Everyone was able to mingle and get to know each other, so they’d be more comfortable the next day.  Adam was able to get Amanda alone to ask her about the seating.  “Sweetie, the wedding party all sits together.  Kris will be seated with the rest of your family.”  She noticed his face drop just a little.  “But after the toasts and the actual meal, you’ll be able to move around and sit with him, alright?”
“Oh yeah, that’s fine.  I just didn’t want Kris to be all alone. ”
She smiled at him, “Ok then.  I’m really glad you’re here, Adam.”  He hugged her and went back to Kris.
They’d had a very long day and an even longer one coming up tomorrow, so they said their goodbyes and drove back to Conway.  The wedding wasn’t until the afternoon, so they could sleep in and then the limo would drive them back the next day.  The Martin’s would follow later in their car with the gifts.
Adam told Kris in the car on the drive home, what Amanda said about the seating at the wedding reception.  “I’m sorry, baby.  I wanted us to sit together.”
“It’s ok.  Mom and Dad and Chelsey will be with me.  You should be at the head table with Amanda and Tanner“, Kris assured him with a smile and a kiss.
Adam had left his tux at the church along with the other groomsmen and Tanner.  They would be dressing at the church.  There was also a room for the bridesmaids.
So, when it was time to get ready for the wedding in the morning, he just put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.
Kris, on the other hand, needed to wear his suit to the church.  He’d have to stand out front waiting for guests to arrive and wait for the other two guys who would be ushering with him.
Adam helped him with his tie, and told him how sexy he looked all dressed up.  Kris just beamed as Adam stood back and admired his beautiful boyfriend.  “You’ll be the sexiest usher there, baby.”
The limo arrived at ten o’clock in the morning.   They had two more stops for passengers, including Bill and Tanner before heading straight to the church.
They piled into the limo with the rest of the groomsmen; Adam and Kris in the back.  “How is everyone this morning?”  Bill asked the group. “Ready to help marry this guy off?”  He chuckled, patting Tanner on the back.  “I never thought this day would come.  The eternal bachelor.”
“Nah, not any more”, Tanner smiled.  “Happiest day of my life.”
“Amanda’s a special person”, Adam piped.
“She is that.”  Tanner agreed.
“A toast?”  Bill grabbed the champagne and handed everyone a glass.  Adam and Kris opted for the sparkling cider instead
 “So Bill, are you married?”  Adam asked.
Taking a long sip of his champagne, he looked at both Adam and Kris and said, “Not legal yet.  But I do have a long time partner.”
It took a few seconds to register, “Oh, your?  I mean, you’re gay, Bill?”
“Yeah, is that a problem?”  He deadpanned, and then laughed out loud.
“I just didn’t realize, you never said anything.”
“Well, in my line of work, it’s not something you just offer.  However, I’m very proud of my relationship and my partner.  His name is Donavan.”
They spent the rest of the trip talking about Bill’s and his life, and the fight to legalize marriage in New York.  “It’ll happen.  I’m sure of it.”
“Well, we want to be invited to your wedding when it does.”  Adam said, and Kris nodded in agreement.
The limo finally stopped in front of the church just before eleven.  The girls’ had not arrived yet.  They were about ten minutes behind, Tanner was told.  “Women”, he chuckled.
Kris walked with the guys to the room where they would get dressed.   The flowers had just arrived, and Tanner pinned a carnation onto Kris’s lapel.  “So they’ll know your part of wedding, Kris”, he winked.  “Oh and here are two more flowers for the other guys.”
Kris wanted to stay and watch Adam get dressed, but he shooed him out the door with a kiss.  “I love you, baby.  See you soon.”
“Yeah, yeah.  See you later, guys”, Kris waved goodbye and went outside to wait for the other two ushers.  He didn’t have long to wait.  The first one found him quickly.  “Hey, I’m looking for a Kris?”  He said.
“I’m Kris.  You are?”
“Bryson”, he reached his hand out to shake Kris’s.  “I’m one of the ushers.  I’m a little nervous”, he said looking around.
“Hi Bryson.  Why are you nervous?”
“There might be someone here that I haven’t seen in a really long time”, he shrugged.
“Oh, are you a friend of Tanner’s?”
“Who?”
Kris giggled, “Tanner, you know, the groom?”
“Oh right.  No, Amanda.”
Kris looked up at him, “She’s really nice.”
“Yeah, she’s great.  So, where is everyone?”
“Getting dressed”, Kris said, curiously.  “We need to wait for the other usher, and then I need to explain what you guys will be doing.”
“Ok”, he was still looking around, nervously.
“So, who are you hoping to see?”
“Oh, just someone I used to know.   They may not even remember me.”
Kris shrugged this time, not having time to worry about this guy.
Adam and the other fellows dressed into their tuxes.  Tanner was surprisingly calm, most likely due to the two glasses of champagne in the limo.  He walked around, helping the other guys with their ties and pinning their boutonnières.  The ushers had red carnations, but the groomsmen had a single deep purple carnation with a little spray of baby’s breath and the groom had a white carnation with dried purple flowers.
While the men were dressing, Tanner received word that Amanda and the other ladies had arrived.   They were driven to the back of the church and scrambled to their dressing room so no one would see them.
Tanner breathed a sigh of relief.  Once dressed, they had some waiting time.  Adam and the two other groomsmen headed out to the church to assist with the ushering.
~~~~

Kris and Bryson waited out front for the third usher to show up.  His name was Kevin and he was Amanda’s younger brother.  He hadn’t been able to attend the rehearsal the night before either.

Kris puffed his chest out just a little as he explained the duties to the other gentlemen.  They understood and then waited for the guests to begin to arrive.

Adam walked through the church as Kris was still talking to the other two guys.  He came up to Kris and kissed him on the cheek.  “Hi babe.”
